We picked up this trailer and headed to Summerville, SC to load a small car onto the trailer. Could not get over 40mph because the trailer swayed severlly. Once we got to Summerville we discovered that the tongue on the trailer was bent. U-Haul had a towing company pick it up but could not find another trailer within 75 miles.LARRY G.

The truck reeked of cigarettes and there was ash in the cup holders. Eventually also found a half pack of cigarettes (among other garbage) under the seat. The inside of the windshield was also horribly dirty. Otherwise the truck was newer and in good condition, and the drive was smooth.COURTNEY T.

Improve your website. I tried to check in online to expedite the pickup but was unable to do so. I couldn't access an account (except by reservation number) or set up an account and even though I completed all of the details on the check-in form I had to provide them all again the next day in the store. Fortunately, they weren't busy and I was able to get out relatively quickly.RHONDA F.

They need need to make sure the gas level is right before they charge the customer. They charged me 3/8 of the tank and when I receive it was 1/8 , I think this is unfair. I haul is a great company I have been dealing with you for more then 30 years.jean S.

Poor review because I never rented a U-haul recently. Nor I have been to SC ever. You failed to verify an email given you. The person who gave you my email lied about that, but you just assume it is correct. That's bad. You need to verify email addresses.Danzell M.

Some people came in right in front of me. We had both got there just as the store opened for business. But they were standing in front of me when we got to the counter. They were renting the same size truck that I had reserved but they did not have a reservation. They were issued a truck immediately without anybody checking a list of any kind for any reservations. It was just very quickly done. And that may be good for them but as soon as they stepped away and I asked for the same size truck and told them I had a reservation all of a sudden they had to scramble to see if they had another truck of that size. Because the attendant thought that he had just rented out the only one he had of that size. If I had reserved it the night before then he should not have rented his out. As it just so happened he had a second one on site that had just been returned. It was clean enough after they examined it and had a full tank of gas so I was able to take it. But that delay should not have happened when I made a reservation. My point is that they should have checked for reservations before renting out to the people that showed up ahead of me. It turned out well but it could have been bad.Daniel W.

When I went to pick up this truck, it was dirty and it stunk (I went in side the office and the woman came out and clean and sprayed something to kill the odor) On my trip north the oil light came on, I put three quarts of oil in. On my way back from New Jersey, turn on the A/C, NO A/C.Gerard E.

After I dropped off the truck. I was charved 18.89 for fuel. Thats almost 5 gallons at your rate of fuel for driving 13.9 miles. I called and asked to be contacted by a manager to explain how this is fair for your customers and was never reached out to.Travis S.

Very friendly employees. She went well above and beyond for me and I appreciate it. My only problem was how nasty the the truck that they rented me. With all the things going on in the world I thought that everyone was disinfecting vehicles. I had to wipe down the seats and steering wheel myself. It smelled like a animal was in it and smoke. I wish it was clean. I never got a vehicle from uhaul like this. I was very disappointed.Brittney G.

Arranged to pick up truck at 8:00 AM with mobile pick up. Once I logged into account, was told to return at 9:00 when rental business opened....disappointing. Also, paid $30 for furniture pads (blankets as they called them) and never used them, never even opened bags. I was told that money could not be refunded as I had already been charged for them. What? Flimsiest excuse ever! Acted like she was doing me a big favor â€œrefundingâ€ mileage charge because I estimated 20 miles and only drove 10.8 miles. Word of caution to other renters: be sure you need what you reserve and pay for because no concessions will be made.Patricia M.
