My experience was mediocre. Greeting from women with long white hair was less than pleasing. Said hello and asked a question but she completely ignored. It was Like she did not want to engage in any conversation. She was the same upon my return. Associates weren't versed in what gas price charge would be or didn't even try to up-sell you on a dolly. I'm used to having a dolly attached inside rental but luckily opened truck before leaving to find no dolly was inside to use. This location is not one I'd use again unless I had to.Kristi M.

My experience with U-Haul was awful. I had to make a cross country trip from Ohio to Texas, there just us two girls and I was given a faulty truck. Every time the gas tank needed to be filled the car would not start back up. A few times this happened at night in locations unbeknownst to us. Roadside assistance could not get to us for about an hour or so later which during that time we were able to get strangers to jump the truck for us. This delayed what was supposed to be a two-day trip into almost a week trip. I tried to see if there was any way that someone could get me a new battery or truck which both requests were denied. Upon arrival to my first stop, my car begins to fall off the tow dolly which left a dent on my drivers side door. We take it to the nearest U-Haul location where we are told that there is no way that the employees that attached my car to the dolly did it correctly because something like that couldn't have happened. My entire experience was highly unacceptable. I spent days back and forth on the phone with representatives where I was told last Sunday that I would receive a call back within three days which never came. There needs to be a remedy for my experience, and I hope to hear from someone very soon.Kyla E.

The Uhaul gods changed my reservation, not this particular location. I reserved a truck from this location, then Uhaul decided to change it to a location that was 30 minutes further out...which I could not get to. Thankfully, this location told me they had a truck I could use and to call Uhaul and tell them to change it back. I would suggest Uhaul not do that anymore because they would have lost my business if it wasnt for the good folks at the Washington Ave location. Thank you all again.ASHLEY G.

The app. has problems. This has happened several times when I return the truck/van an start the process the app never let's me go past the first part about taking pictures of the dashboard as asked.it keepsasking to try aagain. I get frustrated n can't finish Checkin back in the rental on the date or before. I've tried to call but get no where. Long waits an recordings. So it needs to be checked or redone.WILLIAM W.

The van needed an oil change, the location was closed for half day due to fire alarm, and it took over an hour to check the van back in because the UHaul app kept "timing out" within 10 seconds of moving to the next screen.CHARLENE W.
I uploaded all contact information, the licenses of the three drivers, the addresses and cell numbers. None of that was on the site when I went to pick up our vehicle yet, when the customer service agent said he was sending me a text to start uploading information, the text went to the second driver on the list. If information was not in your system, why did it go to the second driver instead of me who was the only one responsible for uploading the information originally?Gerald G.

This location does not allow TruckShare 24/7 pickups outside of their office hours even though UHaul is able to process the reservation. The staff at this location are extremely rude and not customer-centric. They could have cared less that I wasn't able to get my truck until they opened at no fault of my own. I had called the location the day before to confirm it would be ready at 8:30, after UHaul customer service called me numerous times to confirm. The on-site staff basically said I was lying and that no one would have confirmed I could get the truck before they opened. Overall, a horrible experience from someone who had used UHaul many, many times. Luckily, I was renting a truck for a very simple reason. If I was relying on this location for a complicated or long distance move, it would have been a stressful nightmare. Oh, and I had a guaranteed utility dolly on my reservation but they were out. The process was not fantastic it was.. ok in the end, but the truck was beyond filthy inside the cab and clearly in need of some engine maintenance. (For reference I've driven dozens of uhaul, Penske etc rental box trucks larger and smaller..this one definitely had some mechanical issues) would stress again that the layer of grime and debris in the truck cab was pretty over the topBRONWYN L.

The lock engagement slot for space 522 is misaligned to the door. It is very difficult and needlessly time consuming to engage. They don't seem inclined to do anything about it. There is no trash receptacle on the basement floor. An needless extreme of cost cutting. A small waste can would be a major improvement. The assistant has an attitude. His attitude should be: "The customer is always right.", but it isn't.David L.

First of all I reserved my truck "guaranteed" at 8:30am on July 31,2021. I tried to do the online check in because the location I was picking up from did not open until "10am". I could not get truck share online to work despite multiple attempts, I was on hold with you guys for over 50 mins and still no one answered my call. I had to beg the person at community storage (who was opening at 9 by the way) to help me with my reservation. The staff at community storage were rude to say the least. They made me feel as if I was bothering them because I was really needing their help. Every single time I've spoken to someone from U-haul customer service they have NOT helpful either. I needed dollies; no store had them. Doesn't make sense that you guys try to sell so many things to customers online while making a reservation and nothing is ever available. I only was having help to move at a certain time in the morning and this delay caused so much unnecessary stress and headache on my end. It is ridiculous to me that no one seemed to care about my issues/problems from both the storage and U-haul customer service side. I wish to be contacted in regards to this issue since no one ever answers the phone from customer service. I do want to let you know I am very dissatisfied with the company and would not recommend you to anyone at this point, try harder U-haul.Ana P.

The truck I rented smelled absolutely terrible. There must have been someone living in it and smoking cigarettes non-stop. I was up until 3:30am unloading my belongings instead of keeping it in the truck overnight because of how bad it smelled. I'm appalled this truck was allowed to be released to a customer. I'll definitely be checking the scents before ever leaving again.CONNOR N.

My u-haul smells absolutely terrible. There was likely someone living in the back during quarantine and smoking cigarettes non-stop. It's appalling this truck was allowed to leave the shop and used by a customer. My belongings wreak of cigarette smoke and musty odors. I was planning to leave my belongings in the truck overnight but I'm had to immediately pull everything out into the morning hours.CONNOR N.
Equipment was not up to standard. The driver's door was broken and would open randomly while driving with no indicator warnings. The cargo area had a horrible smell to it. The photos of the vehicle from the location did not match the actual vehicle as there was a lot of damage on the vehicle. Being threaten with a cleaning charge when the vehicle itself was not cleaned prior to renting is uncalled.Justin E.

Overall, the UHaul experience was really helpful for my move from Houston to Austin, but the pickup was not great. My UHaul was in a separate location from the other trucks, and didn't have the dolly or furniture pads I had requested. Drop off was fairly simple though!Nicholas S.

The truck I was given was full of stuff. There were 2 queen-sized mattress sets, a dresser, and 3 or 4 doors inside. I had to make a second round trip back to the facility to get a different (empty) truck. The staff were very apologetic but it still wasted my time.DAVID HAYES JR G.

CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AWFUL! Elder lady was on the phone the whole time I was trying to return the van, instructed me to download the app and return the vehicle through there while others they were just tossing the van keys to her. Wanted to rent me the van for only two hours, had extra restrictions that were not imposed in other customers of calling two contacts on the spot (one customer walked in after me and he was only asked to provide a phone with no calling requirements). When I arrived, the cargo van I had reserved had already been rented to another customer earlier that day. There was another cargo van available, but it took two employees about 45 minutes to switch me over from the van they rented out to someone else to a new one. The van was not clean on the inside, but there were signs all over the store telling me that if I didn't sweep out the van before returning, I would be charged. Both Patty and Keshia were exceptionally helpful. Your on site check-in procedures are cumbersome if not impractical. The requirement to have your team personally engage with two of my contacts came as quite a shock, especially since this was not mentioned in my online pre-registration. How do people who are new to town--with no local contacts--meet this requirement? And what if my contacts had not been readily available? Also your exterior signage at this location lacks drama. The "COMMUNITY" sign overpowers the modest U-Haul signage. Hard to see and discern from the street. If it weren't for the branded trucks parked under the driveway, I would have driven right by. The online app was an absolute disaster, I do not know why you cannot check people in by customer service at the location - to be fair she was helpful in helping me through the app, but it toke 1 hour 20 minutes to check in! The return was not great using the app also...trying to park at this location on return is hard also, very tight and a safety issue, fortunately the same lady let me park in front of the store.Adrian C.
