The man didn't want to rent me a truck at first but he said let me look to see what I had. He gave us a 10 inch footer but there was a 26 inch footer sitting there. The truck was a mess not cleaned and who every used just left the blankets thrown on the floor. We brought the truck well after 9:30. We shouldn't of been charged for after hours because I told this man I didn't know how long we need the truck. This is very unacceptable service I will never use this service at this place again..Carrie S.

This is a really odd drop off location. Not only is it just a gas station with no U-haul signage whatsoever, there is also no U-haul representative there. The gas station attendant barely knew who I was and why I was dropping off a U-haul there. Eventually we were able to get things sorted, but it took longer than expectedRAUL C.

I did check in at the store instead of online thinking it was going to be faster and easier, but the person who was helping me took almost 20-25 mins to check me in when i already had all the information since the moment i booked the U-haul. Also the cup holder between the driver and passenger seat was dirty it seems someone spilled coffee on it and didn't clean it before returning the truck. Otherwise, everything was good.Juliana G.

Remove this location. The vendor does not speak English well, and CANCELED our original reservation despite a clear note provided by UHAUL to not do so. We were not a priority to him, and were incredibly frustrated with how our discounts disappeared. Additionally, the second security deposit we had to put for the second reservation was very taxing on our move. I demand my original discount AT LEAST.JONATHAN P.

Online check in didn't work, took a long time to check in when I got there. Didn't have the kind of dolly that I reserved online so had to buy one from another store to move. People were friendly enough and apologetic, just a poor experience overall.Tamara S.
On 3/14/21 I placed my order for a 10' truck, boxes, blankets, and dolley. I also purchased Safemore damage protection. The truck and supplies were to be picked up at the U Haul location at 2000 W. Lower Colfax Ave., Denver, CO. On 3/18/21 I received a phone call and email that the pickup location was moved to 4380 W. 38th Ave, Denver. On 3/20/21 we flew from St. Louis to Denver to pickup the truck and supplies. We arrived at the 38th Ave location which was a gas station. I had to tell the gas station attendant three times that I was here to pickup a truck. He said the truck was not ready because there was a padlock on the loading door, and that a U Haul employee would be by to take the lock off. After 15 minutes, the employee arrived and removed the lock. He was very upset with the gas station attendant and told him "to do his job" when he left. The employee never acknowledged me. The attendant gave me the keys to the truck and I told him I had ordered and paid for some boxes ,blankets, and dolley. He said he did not have any boxes and that I would have to pick them up at the Colfax location. He did give me the blankets and dolley. When I started the truck, the engine was EXTREMELY loud....like there was no muffler. When I pulled into the Colfax location parking lot, two U Haul workers came over because of the loud noise the trucking was making. They acknowledged that the truck was extremely loud and looked under the truck. They said the muffler looked secure and that it should be OK to drive. I told them I was driving 1,000 miles the next day but they said it would be OK. I went to the office and asked the assistant manager if I could get a different truck (I was more than glad to pay additional money for a truck that was not so loud.) She said no, that I would have to take the truck assigned to me. She also acknowledged that the truck was extremely loud. With no other options, I had to take the truck assigned to me. The next day, my wife and I drove the truck from Colorado to Indiana in an extremely loud cab. We could not use the radio or even talk to each other because of the noise. About three hours into our drive, the check engine light came on. We stopped and texted U Haul Roadside Assistance (file # 2062851) and told them that the check engine light came on. They asked us to send a photo of the of the dashboard with the light. They texted back saying it was OK to keep driving as long as the light does not flash. For the remainder of the trip, there were no engine problems other than the EXTREMELY loud noise. When we dropped of the truck at the Indiana location, they were very helpful. I am writing this because I do not feel we got "our moneys worth" for renting the truck. I am not asking for a refund but I think some compensation is due for the fact we had to drive the truck 1,000 miles in extremely poor conditions. Thank you.Mark W.

The experience explained through the app was 80% accurate. I chose app check in and still had to go to the counter. The person didn't understand and then handed me my keys. Not sure how he knew which ones but never said a word to me. Then after getting home and opening the back, I realized that the moving blankets weren't loaded. So I had to make another trip back. The truck while clean had some major break issues while stopped with it jumping forward and shaking violently while coming to a stop.Travis O.

I did not ask for insurance on the move and was charged $14 and I only drove 7 miles, added gas and was still charged for $6.38 for gas!John P.
I pre checked and prepaid in full. When I arrived at the gas station to pick up my rental, the manager at the location had lost all of the pre check in information and I was charged an additional $97 I did not agree and still do not know why. I had to go around the counter to his laptop to fill in my information which I felt very uncomfortable with as we are in a pandemic. There was trash in the cab and the moving blankets were not in the truck until I had to ask for them on multiple occasions. I spoke on the phone with a uhaul representative who raised his voice saying â€œif you want to get out of there just pay the extra money and you can try to dispute it with corporate after.â€ His name was Dave Rosenberg and I found him incredibly unprofessional and poor representation of your company.Brooks S.

The people at the location were great. The process of checking out the truck without contact was terrible. You guys canceled my truck because I didn't pick it up on time jeopardizing my move. It took over a half hour to speak to someone and the operator blamed it on me and made it seem like they were doing me the favor. My suggestion add window time when people can pick up the truck. I don't understand why you would cancel a request when people are moving without even calling me.Michael M.

This was the worst Uhaul experience EVER. This van was filthy, and wreaked like cigarettes. It was absolutely disgusting, and made me feel ill. I will seriously be rethinking ever using Uhaul again, and I have been renting with your company for 15 years.Kate M.
Pre-covid I never had issues with U-Haul but this time everything that could go wrong went wrong. As the other location didn't have our truck available, it ultimately took us 2 hours to finally get a functioning vehicle. I'm honestly shocked we were still charged considering how terrible this experience was.Liia K.

The truck was dirty and the pick up took much too long. It was at a Conoco gas station and there was one employee who was cashiering and checking trucks in/out. The gentleman in front of me who was returning a truck offer to step aside so people purchasing gas could go ahead. The proprietor of this location is attempting to rip us off with the fuel charge. We have submitted both a picture of the fuel gauge as well as a picture of the receipt of gas purchased AT THE GAS STATION this truck was returned to. I have rented from U-Haul at least 100 times in the last couple of years. Today I rented from this location. I was running late getting back. Past the time I thought I would be back. I called to them to let them know. but was still a little late. I rented the truck for a total of 9 hours. Yet I was charged for two days. Is this location so hard up for an extra $30 it's willing to lose a loyal customer? Well it just did. Considering moving my business elsewhere.Luann B.
I got at the location ON TIME at 9am to pick up the truck and I had to wait 48 minutes for the employee that supposed to give the keys. (that was a huge negative impact in my time because I had to be in Fl by Monday so that created a delay on my trip) The truck was very dirty, even cigarettes butts on the drivers side and the gas was on half of the tank!! Very disappointed about the service!! I had to call to U-HAUL and ask what time the employee was show upIngrid P.

The individual working at the store had no idea what he was doing, and insisted on helping out every single person that came into the convenient store instead of helping me. The lady at the desk was very nice and did her part fine, but I had ordered a dolly and furniture pads and they weren't there. I'm not sure whose responsibility that is, but I really think that you folks should have gotten that part locked down pretty well at this point. It's pretty darn inconvenient to plan on moving with dollies and whatnot, and then show up and not get any. Furthermore, it appears that the "safemove insurance" got added to my bill at some point in the process. I am extremely skeptical that I somehow added it accidentally during the online checkout, so this really feels like something getting snuck onto the bill at some point later in the process. The clerk did not know how to check me in and complete the rental at the front end, the level of gas on pick up was indicated at 3/4 of a tank when in fact is was just over 1/4, and there was no check out other than turn in the keys. The link to upload pictures of a dent on the passenger door and document the incorrect gas level was not working. Customer service was great when it came to correcting the charge for gas. I have rented from Uhaul before and did not have any issues. I will not rent from this location again.Karen B.

Actually, it was not the locations fault as much as U Hauls! I had completed Exptess check in & prepaid, yet waited 1+ hour for the keys!! I also got charged more than I was quoted! If you do not contact me asap, I will never use or recommend U Haul to anyone.Virginia M.
I signed up for moving help and they were going to send 2 people for 3 hours. A guy called in the am but no one ever showed up. Do to this fact I want my money back for the help. I also will never tell anyone to get moving help from U Haul.James R.

It would be appreciated as a customer if I make a reservation to pick up at a certain location and have the truck available at that location. I had to drive 28 miles south of me to pick up my truck. When I returned the vehicle they wanted to charge me for the additional mileage. Also, if the trucks could be cleaned, that would also be appreciated.Michael Y.
