I had issues with the web-site/app logging in to retrieve the vehicle. Once I was able to get logged in, the retrieval process was quick and easy. I returned the vehicle around noon (4 hours early!). The representative was not available at the time, I left they keys on the counter and information with someone at the auto shop. I reviewed my bill, and I was charged for a furniture dolly, furniture pads and a utility dolly. There is only one dolly in the truck. I informed the gentleman at the auto shop that the dolly and furniture pads were not locked upon pick up. I plan to contact Monday to follow up, but it adds to the frustration of the move weekend - (several things went wrong the day of the move...and this has just added to it.)KERIN B.

I had to wait over 75 minutes before this location opened doors. The u-haul was dirty, I clicked it was clean because I didn't have to to wait any longer for it to get cleaned out I already was 75 mins moving my items because the u haul place didn't open on time. Danco Transmission was fine, the staff member that contacted me prior to the pickup was very polite. However, the online pickup was horrible. It took 40 or 45 minutes to finalize and the chat person was unresponsive. It made me late, which meant that I ended up not being able to get as many loads completed before the return time.Tina W.

Make sure to stay until the store fully closes. I arrived to return the vehicle before 1:30 because I had questions regarding my bill. I didn't want my bill to potentially go over. However the manager had left before 2PM.Anthony M.
The pickup and drop off went very smoothly. Navigating the parking lot at this location was somewhat difficult, but not overly problematic.David A.
There were no lights on in the facility - we thought it was closed until we saw a man sitting in a dark corner on his phone. There was trash on the floor and a fish tank that was green with algae and no lights on inside, despite there being fish swimming around inside. The facility was dirty and we felt unsafe. We discussed our issues with the man working and he cut us off saying that there was nothing he could do to help us.Aaron L.

The 26 ft truck steering wheel was side ways due to it needing an alignment really bad which made it hard to steer straight when the steering wheel was crooked an the brakes squeaked so bad it was ridiculous an they was not firm it too way longer to move due to having to drive slow to keep the wheel straightPORTIA B.
Truck was fine and I had no issues during the trip. However, the check in was a disaster. There was no one on site to do the check in â€“ apparently due to COVID. Had to check in online which was way too complicated. Uploading photos and clicking screen after screen was ridiculous. Took 45 minutes to figure it out and get a code to get the key from the lock box. Then after 9 long hours of driving it was after midnight. I went to extend the truck until I could return it early in the am. The U-Haul website said I could not extend because another family needed the truck and i would have to pay a fee if not returned. So, I went ahead and took the truck back. I had to spend 30 minutes uploading pictures and working through the pages. I felt a bit unsafe in the parking lot while I focused on my phone. Finally, I had to drop my keys off in a lock box. The problem I have is that no one would be able to take the truck until someone came in the morning to retrieve all the keys from the drop box. I had to drop the truck off after midnight for no reason and I spent an extra $30 for an Uber which again was not necessary. I understand COVID and the restrictions it brings but there must be a better way to rent a U-Haul. I will not use this location again.Amelia R.

Location information needs to be updated to indicate that this entire site is virtual, and there is no counter help available. While there are hours listed, those are irrelevant, as there is no-one staffing during those times. I left my garage door opener in the rented cargo van upon concluding my rental, which is totally my fault. However - I've been calling for 2 days, and showed up in person ... no help. The outgoing message instructs customers to leave a message, yet it immediately disconnects. It's clear there is no intention of letting anyone leave a message. While the rental itself was great, the absolute unavailability of any customer service is infuriating.Tracey C.

The website implies that they will help you with a storage unit. Instead, they did NOT notify the place we were going to and I ended up having to pay for extra miles because I went to the other side of town, and on top of that, had to sit there for two hours with customer service, everything I own in the truck and no where to put it after being guaranteed a storage unit reservation so then I had to leave, park the truck somewhere and pay for an extra day. Truck gears were stuck, could barely shift, vehicle was dirty when I got it. Drivers door doesn't fully close had me driving thinking I was about to fly out the door any secondKristin S.

I've never had a WORSE experience with U-Haul. I reserved a truck, was told my reservation I made meant nothing in reality and they were â€œoverbookedâ€ â€¦ I then had to switch my pickup location to 25 minutes out of the way, and there was no truck at new location when arriving to pick up. I was then told I had to call for someone to tell me I had to drive to another location, ANOTHER 35 minutes in a different location. How is this okay?Brent B.

My reservation was cancelled without anyone contacting me, and I wasn't able to get the size truck I wanted from that location, but instead of letting me know on the website, they changed the size of the truck without notifying me, so I ended up with a 26' truck, even though I was only moving enough stuff for one person!! Not to mention I returned the truck and did all the necessary closing steps, per the website, but 2 days later they called and said that since I "still had the truck" I would be charged for "not returning it on time." Fortunately I was able to call the 1-800 number and get that charge taken off. This was just all around bad customer service and really inconvenient for people who work full-time and cannot take time off to deal with customer service issues. Next time I have to move, or rent a moving truck, I will take my business elsewhere.Monet W.

Please make sure to provide what is asked for. For example if I am paying for a furniture dolly pleaae make sure it is in the truck I am renting. Additionally please make sure that the truck is clean and does not possess the belongings of someone else. It is very i convinent that I have to lug around someone else's stuff when I am on a timeline to move. I am very dissatisfied with this. I called and mentioned this to Uhaul and there was no resolve. I will not be recommending this location to others and I will not be using it in the future.Ariana T.

I'm actually upset about the whole experience. I originally booked for a 20' on Sharon road. Then got a call telling me there wasn't one available. To go to Colerain. Then, 45 minutes before I was scheduled to pick it up, I got ANOTHER call telling me they didn't have one either. To go to Reading road. I get there, and I was told I was booked for a 26'. Not what I reserved. THEY didn't have one. I had to go clear to Fairfield!!! I was given 50 extra miles..even though my whole move was under that!!! I'm EXTREMELY upset about the whole experience!!!!! Due to all the shuffling around, I had to pay movers extra money for the wait time, and then when it came time to unload at the destination I had to wait clear till the next damn day because my movers had another obligation!!!Heather D.

This guy yelled at me I tried to explain the the lady at the pick up location said I could have it until 5 pm cause of all the issues I had when picking up the equipment he said they didn't let him know so he had a person waiting at 12pm and I needed to bring it in. Told him I was unloading and I will get it to him in an hour which I did and then he charged my mom CC with out asking or with out saying hey I'm going to charge you. More staff needed. The instructions were to text or call a certain number for assistance which I did but received no response to either. I waited 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me, but this never happened. So I then went looking for someone to let them know I was ready to pick up my rental. My reservation was for 2:00 and it was now 2:25 and no one had helped me. I tried my absolute best to be patient. Finally, at 2:35, I was assisted. There was no apology but instead an excuse of short staffing. I have worked many days short staffed as a nurse, but always acknowledge the presence of people. This is definitely something that should be addressed as customer service should be priority. Thank youJenalyn S.

I arrived 10 minutes prior to my time, and attempted to secure the Truck using the App. The app did not work past the "take drivers photo" portion. I was unable to load a drivers license. I deleted and re-downloaded the app, and tried again. It still did not work. So, I went to the door which had a paper note taped to it that said "For UHaul help, please call this number "- with a number on it. So - I called! No answer. I left a voice mail. The note said I could also text, so I did that as well. No answer. I went inside - and stood by the desk, sending another text and heard a ding - THE PHONE FOR UHAUL SERVICES WAS SITTING ON THE COUNTER WITH NOBODY TO ANSWER IT. I called DANCO - got a hold of someone who said oh, he left his phone again. Ill have someone find him. 17 minutes later (remember, I was early), I am still waiting - it is now way past my original time, putting me very behind in the plans for the moving. Finally, he comes out helping someone else (which is fine, but STAFF your business appropriately) and I am just hanging out. He had to take photos with his phone of my license. Did the contract. Then the credit card machine didn't work. Finally, at 3:47 I am given the keys and I am out the door. The truck was - not cleaned. Had not been cleaned - it was ultimately fine, but I expect better from a company that says they keep clean trucks. I feel like I got a truck that had just been dropped off and was "good enough" I would absolutely love a discount or refund of my money for time wasted. I doubt you will do that, but I was really unhappy. I have rented from Enterprise before, and their trucks are CLEAN and they fully staff their locations, I never had to wait - always what I expect. I feel this location is not staffed to actually be able to do the UHaul services, and I would have been better going to the one in Hamilton, but that was out of my way. I have used services in Ironton Ohio as well and they were GREAT! Staffed, friendly - personable- helpful! They answered the phone. The one here at Danco was too busy to show any interest at all. Uhaul was obviously the side hustle they do to make money for the transmission store. I apologize for the length of this message - but I did not feel like my time was respected, or that I was a priority and it really set me back for the whole day. At least make sure the UHAUL staff KEEPS THEIR PHONE ON THEM and answers/responds instead of acting like it is no big deal. Im sure people are on schedules, like myself, and do not have time to spare. I was 17 minutes behind schedule, I cant imagine someone being even further. Thanks for listening - I hope at least someone speaks with Danco and takes care of the lack of attention to the UHaul services.Aaron B.

When using the App to pick up the vehicle, the App asked for additional contacts that had to take the time to fill out. I registered online, the only thing I should have had to do was take pictures of the driver, and his driver's license. If you need additional information, force them to do so online when preregistering.Ezra H.
I realize that this location is just for renting equipment but having parts that are required such as a connector for lights would not take up too much space but would allow for safety immediately upon receiving equipment.Frances G.
