Having to drive so far from San Jose was incredibly painful, but with people keeping trailers longer due to the wild fires and the mass exodus of people from the Bay Area (myself included), we were left with no choice. It added 6 hours to our moving day and it hurt since we were moving out of state, but the lads were so friendly. This was all outside of U-Haul's control, but the priority for in-town moves vs one-way is incredibly inefficient. The people going one way need it more, so confirming the pick up location the night before is very painful. Keep this in mind when booking.

I had to drive an extra hour to pickup the truck and then drive back to where I moved my belongings. Upon arrival the truck was full of dirt and smelled like marijuana. I had to clean the whole inside of the truck with my own cleaning supplies. UHaul customer service refused to offer me a partial refund, Divide Supply Ace Hardware was not willing to give a partial refund. I will never use UHaul again due to the absolutely horrid customer service of the company. When I told customer reps this in person and over the phone, I was told to "go ahead and use another company". Thus, I will use another company in the future.

Just having 1 trailer that cannot be dropped off to another location and therefore must be brought back to the rental location SUCKS. I had to travel over 100 miles to bring it back

Clean the equipment before renting. Trailer had mud on it and lights flashed and right brake light worked intermittently the entire 1140 mile trip. I could not identify the problem to fix it.

To be clear the location was fine. The issue was 2 days prior to move date I was informed of pickup location which was a 2 hour round trip! Originally it was going to be a 15 minute round trip and the rep at the fair oaks site assured me he would have the equipment I reserved, which was obviously not the case. Also, the tow dolly tires were very worn and only had one functioning tail and indicator light. Overall my experience with U-Haul just added to the stress of a the move. Unfortunately the location I moved to, U-Haul was the only option or I would've definitely used a different company.

I think the price is too high. But as for the truck i used it ran great i pulled my trailer 800 miles and it had the power to pull it along with the truck full in the back up and over the sierra Nevadas and up over i40

The computer system crashed and it took 1 1/2 hours to get the truck! But, only after I recommended that they take down all my info and give me the truck did I finally get on my way. The store complained that they constantly have trouble with the UHaul website in this manner. In addition to that, the truck was dirty and I had to clean the windows and mirrors to see properly. Also, there were no tie down rings “ANYWHERE” in this truck?!! I had to pack things best as possible around a refrigerator so it wouldn't move! Unacceptable! Lastly, charging a $1.09 per mile on weekends is gouging people or at least give customers the first 50mi free. This was my first experience with renting a truck with UHaul and no a good one.

I placed my order for a trailer at another location but was contacted by Customer Service and was notified that due to availability I needed to pick up the trailer at your Greenwood location. The Uhaul staff were professional, friendly and very efficient. The only difficultly was the Uhaul reservation system. Perhaps related to the change in pick up location, it was way too difficult and time consuming to process my order even though I had already prepaid and checked in online.

I think U-Haul should put a jack on the trailer tongue. It is to heavy for one person to lift safely.

first off let me say that your computer system is rediculas. It gave a warning to look at my older car and determine if it is okay to tow. But the rep at the store said that even if they looked at it that they could not bypass the system to get the rsvp to go thru. My 1984 Landcruiser with a NEW diesel motor & 5000 lb towing capicaty, new tires new suspension. Basically a brand new car that will run, tow & be on the road for another 500 k & 30 years I was told is not able to use a car dolly to tow a 69 vw bug with no motor. BS I had to take my motorhome in to rent the dolly. Imagine 7 miles to the gallon in the MH compared to 25 mpg in the landcruiser. This was rediculious. Also the tire bearings on the trailer were shot. So it looks like the folks renting the gear don't know how to make sure there is no issues that might come of it.

Excellent customer service, the best equipment, at a good rate. If you need a good work trailer this is the place to visit. I'll be needing a trailer next week and they have me as a permanent customer.
