Doc's food store is a great place to pick up a truck

The guy at the counter first forced me to take insurance on the rental. He was late opening the store which had me waiting outside, and the truck he gave me was both filthy inside and out. Even the person before me had left some personal items in the truck so I know he didn’t clean it before he rented it to me. Worse U-Haul rental experience thus far.

I received a truck with no gas, 10 miles to Empty, returned it with 34 miles to empty, they still wanted to charged me 35 dollars. When I called they said that I had also gotten a discount for 35 dollars since the vehicle had no gas. (That’s fair, much appreciated it) but I was never informed that that’s how it works, I take my fault for not having read the contract but if you are moving you have other things in mind. The difference had been paid and to answer this question, please do a better job informing the customers! Thanks

The truck had trouble starting, when it cranked sounded like it was going to die or had a dead battery. The fuel gauge at one point dropped all the way past full. I returned early because I could not afford the truck to not work after loading up. After I dropped it off since it was just running out started easy. The operator was really nice and helpful, the truck was the issue.

I didn't asked for this location to drop the truck. It was a gas station parking for self drop off location.
