Uhaul changed my pick up locaiton on the day of my reservation. I had difficulty getting out of downtown to pick up the truck. The locationw as not convenient, but I had no choice. When I arrived to pick up the truck, the lady was super rude. Told me I was late and would have to wait. I was not going to be able to get my truck until someone else arrived back that had just left. She kept giving me attitude regarding my lateness. Then, after 20-25 minutes of waiting, she causally hands me the key that was there the whole time and gives me very cloudy instructions on where to get the truck. I honesly think she just wanted to inconvenience me. I don't think this person could have cared less about the paying customer standing in front of her trying to get a truck to service my business event. I was terribly dissapointed.

Noel dSubject: Concern Regarding Rental Experience I picked up the van at 3:00 PM on May 1. I was told that the return deadline would be 11:30 AM the following day. This was clearly communicated, and I understood that if I needed more time beyond 24 hours, I would be charged hourly. Alternatively, if another vehicle had been offered at the time of rental, I believe I could have completed my work without any issues. This situation is quite disappointing. In addition, since there was already a reservation for 11:30 AM on May 2 made two weeks in advance, it would have been helpful if I had been advised to pick up the van earlier in the morning. That way, I could have planned accordingly. I understand that the staff mentioned they had already communicated with the customer and fulfilled their responsibility. However, from my perspective, this does not reflect good customer service. It would have been much better to offer a suitable alternative vehicle or option. I understand that this is a busy location near UBC with constant demand, but that should not come at the expense of customer care. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with a negative impression of U-Haul. I would like to ask the head office: what truly defines good customer service? Thank you for your time.

Filipe DEmployees were not organized. Lacked communication and seemed not to care too much about the experience of the rental customers. We were given our keys late, had to pick up the vehicle 15 minutes away and we were failed to be notified of certain requirements such as refilling the gas.

As a result, we has difficulty dropping off the truck after hours and ended up parking it there when we weren’t supposed to (also not made clear to us). Improvements: Having a paper contract, or explaining the online contract in more detail.

David SThe rental location was great (good service and all the supplies we needed) but the truck was not as it should have been. It was raining heavily and the truck leaked rain water on our furniture and boxes inside the cargo box. Thankfully the blankets we rented took much of the water so the furniture wasn't serious affected but it could have been much worse.
David SThe location itself was great, no issues and very straightforward. However, I was quite unimpressed that Uhaul changed the location of my booking. I had to drive an extra 30km to pick up and drop off the car, and I did not realize this until the day of. As the vehicle is paid by km, I would have appreciated if there was some grace given for these extra km's which I only had to add because Uhaul allowed me to book somewhere that actually had no availability. I phoned Uhaul to discuss and the customer service person was quite unhelpful and unfriendly.

I also ordered a dolly, but when I arrived, they said they didn’t have one and removed it from my order. As a result, the move was much harder, and I had to make several extra trips in my car for what should have been a one-hour job."

Itum KBooked for 20' online. Received a call and they told me they only had 15' remaining. When I got there, I was told they only had 10' truck left. Because of this I had to do 2 trips to move all my stuff.
GABRIEL DI arrived at the store 10 minutes before my scheduled pickup time, but unfortunately the U-Haul was given to me about 15 minutes late. When I finally received the truck, the moving blanket I had reserved was missing. I went back to the store, but it took quite a while before the issue was resolved, which caused a total delay of about 40 minutes in my schedule. In addition, the truck I received had brake issues—the brakes were very noisy, and I had to drive it very slowly and cautiously. I kindly suggest that more attention be given to customer service and to properly checking the equipment before handing it over to customers.

Glen MThe workers were helpful but disorganized. I told them I had a van reserved and they said they didn’t have it on file. When I showed them proof they gave me a truck instead of a van. However, one of the ladies was very helpful and assisted us to the truck and showed us how to use it.
