Felt like a classic bait-and-switch. Online scheduling said pick up in Northfield 3 blocks from me. I was going to drive that by myself. When I was told I'd have to pick the truck up in Owatonba (35 miles away), I had to arrange for a driver. Very inconvenient. My suggestion would be this: Don't advertise a Northfield pickup location if it doesn't exist.Janie H.

We went to the wrong location in Owatonna at first. The guy at the counter was friendly and pointed us in the right direction. The guy who helped us at the right location was so nice and friendly and informative. Everything went off without a hitch!mathew B.

The attendant, although probably just trying to be helpful, initiated contact with me and came out to the truck before I indicated I was having any problems. He stood within 2-3 feet of me without a mask and didnt seem to take any precautionary measures against COVID-19.David N.
The back of trunk was stand water. Trunk is self drove awful. They only put 1/4 of tank of gas in it so the low fuel light came on before I got back. Won't rent there again.Sharon L.

I rent from U-Haul on a regular basis. For the first time ever I was charged a convince fee of $20 for check-in because they close at 1:00 pm on Saturdays. I was not informed of this fee when I picked up the trailer. One of the secure hooks was missing and the trailer was filthy.John H.

I reserved a 4 x 8 trailer 2.5 weeks before I needed it. Got to the store to pick it up and was told that I was upgraded for free to a 5 x 8. I didn't want that. Nearest one was one was 50 miles away. I was ticked as this place had a 4 x 8 trailer right there that I could have taken and the guy couldn't tell me who reserved first. So I drove 500 miles pulling something bigger then I needed getting worse mileage. Not pleased at allRichard B.

Make sure the location is where they(u-haul) tells you it is and not 45 miles away from where you were supposed to pick it up at. They charged us mileage to get back to the location we were moving from. Instead of going 45 miles to pick up the truck we had to drive around 90 miles to pick up the truck. U-Haul told us to be there at 7am but, this place doesn't open up until 9am and that made us late getting our things loaded and also getting moved to our new location. Not the way people need to get started moving.....Joe R.

I refueled the vehicle once returned. supposedly I was charged for not refueling. The problem is I don't know for sure because I never received a statement for the extra charge in my email. The amount just wasn't worth the hassle to follow up. next time itemize your chargesLuis V.

This location was closed by 1:00pm and were to pick up up equipment at a different site at 11:00am! The original site did not have what we reserved online and we had to drive 30miles one way to get it and return back to where we were towing from. We had to pay an extra $20 after hours fee even though we did return it by 4:00pm same day! I would expect any location be open during regular hours especially on a weekend when most equipment would be used! Talk about bankers hours!Clayton S.

When I turned in the truck I questioned why I had to put in almost seven gallons of gas. He assured me that the tank had been filled. My receipt shows I travelled only 16 miles. That surely does not require nearly seven gallons of gas.Doug B.

Location is at a dangerous intersection. Vehicle was not filthy but certainly not as clean as it could have been. I swept it thoroughly before and after use. Upper cab-over area had not been cleaned for some time. Transmission gear shift was sticky going into reverse. Friendly and helpful staff.Richard B.

I called ahead of time to make sure we could drop the trailer off being it was late, it was 5:40pm. I arrived at the store around 5:55pm. I was greeted as though I was being pushed out the door, they close at 6:00pm. The person (male) behind the counter did not give me any direction, I asked if I needed to give him my papers from Uhaul, can I lay them on the counter. He said yes, he was helping another customer. I waited, then he said can u back your trailer up by the other 6x12 trailers. Yes I can. The other male was preparing for closing the store, turning the lights off and locking the door. I proceeded to back up the trailer with no assistance, until I went back in and requested guidance. We'll, I suppose I can help he said. Then he asked if I could un hitch the trailer, I said do what? They're heavy. Finally he helped un hitch the trailer. Then he said I need a block, there's blocks behind the other trailers, go get me one so the trailer won't move. He should have thought about that prior to unhooking the trailer. Very lazy employees, I'm thoroughly disappointed in the customer service. I'm requesting a full refund!!!!!!!!Faye S.

Despite making the reservation more than 1 week ahead, I received a call just two days ahead of the rental indicating the truck I reserved was unavailable at this location. Instead, I would need to drive 30+ miles to get the vehicle. Due to blizzard conditions (no one's fault) that office was closed. In the end I had no choice but to rent a truck that was a different size and had to make it work. Also, I didn't notice until pulling out of the rental lot that the fuel tank was not full despite them marking it was. . This rental was expensive and the service given didn't measure up at all.Clark C.
