Trailer leaked and got our rug wet during the trip. The individuals at East Coast Home and Garden could have not been any more indifferent to my arrival at their location. Easily took 15 minutes to acknowledge my presence while they answered the phone and chatted up the only other person in the store. If I could have made arrangements to go somewhere else, I would have left. Additionally, they bragged about how they make $10,000 a month from Uhaul providing this "service."Miguel G.

Ehhh. You're business model is sub-par. Hope to never have to use you again. Your ads lie to customers. You gouge the customers. I rented a truck for 24 hours for "$193" at the advertised price and then 24 hours later was charged $197 for services provided. By mileage and other stuff. It's just really stupid lol. People can get an uber for 1/4 of that price now. Good luck. I'm the moron for not reading the fine print. Can't wait to remind others of that. The lot was chained off so I had to park in the muddy grassy lot next to it. After I put the truck in the lot, I found the sign stating the after hours drop off was in the lot. It was in the ditch between the lot and East Coast Home & Garden.Robert C.

The equipment was in poor shape with a damaged axle spindle and the hubs squealed at low speed, one of the tires was 30psi below recommended. Customers are expected to hitch and unhitch on their own, I have rented uhaul trailers from multiple vendors before and this was the worst experience I have ever had,Erich D.

Had a scheduled pickup at 8 pm and even went to the location the day before to double check and was told everything was good to pick up the next night at 8pm . Went at 8pm the next night and had a confrontation and had the app and still could not pick up the truck I rented! Spent an hour on the phone waiting to get thru and U-Haul customer service was great ( once I was connected after 25 minutes of being on hold ) but someone at the store had not â€œ clickedâ€ the right selection so could not pick up the truck ! Was refunded my cost but went back to the store the next day and got the truck and even brought it back within 8 hours ( not the 24 I had rented it for ) and paid the full fee with nothing more than â€œ well computer problems happen â€œ for an apology ! No refund of any kind and a â€œ oh wellâ€ attitude! I had planned to pick up the truck early as to be prepared for my move the next am and even went by the day before to double check it was ready for me to pick up and still had to be inconvenienced, plus I only used it for 8 hours and no form of reimbursement ! Extremely disappointed! Although I know it wasn't the fault of U-Haul but the location but the represent your company and feels like I should have some kind of reimbursement!Gary P.
I just got charged $18.70 for a fuel surcharge. I put more gas in the truck than it had when I checked it out. I got changed $20 for afterhours fee? I was assured that if I went to the app at time of drop off, that wouldn't apply. The app didn't know my location. Nothing wrong with my phone, IT"S YOUR APP. This is not to mention that i had a 26' truck reserved at a different location and NOBODY AT UHAUL could figure out how to get me a key! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE and now i am getting ass punched for another $38?Jason J.
Expressed concerns about broke air conditioner. Just gave us the 1-800- go- UHAUL phone number to call. No one cared that the air conditioner did not work. CALLED customer service 3 times and was on hold for about 30 minutes each time before anyone answered. And still no resolution after 3 calls. WILL NEVER RENT a UHAUL AGAIN. Your mobile checkin feature on your app is trash. I will never use that feature EVER again. Additionally, it created so many other issues that it left me feeling like I would've been better taken care of by another moving company. One change to my location of choice for pickup resulted in much confusion and necessitated additional changes be made. This was by far my WORST EVER interaction with your company. This whole experience has shown me that my future moving needs will be better handled by either Pack-Rat, or PODS and it is my intention to use them in the future.Nicholas P.

Greet clients as people come in . The way you speak to clients over the phone while clients wait send a massage to us about the way business is been conducted and professionalism. We still in covid time . One of the employees didn't wear a mask , she might have a medical condition to allow her that but she had no badge to reflect that . One of the employees wear it just on her mouth . Didn't feel comfortable with that .Dinar S.
Don't wait on other people while you are working on my needs. Employee assisted 2 other customers while I was â€œbeing helpedâ€. We traveled a total of 8 miles round trip and we did not finish within the 2 hours I had it rented for. And why would it be â€˜late' if you shut down the uhaul service part at 5:30. We turned in the van at 5:50. There should not be a late fee of $20 on my card.Terri P.

I reserved a 26 foot truck. It turned out the truck was in for repairs and not available. So I had to rent a trailer instead. They gave me the smallest trailer they had. I don't understand this because I was calm and courteous to them. Maybe they were just having a bad day. I would not recommend getting your U-Haul equipment here.MICHAEL L.

I need to speak with some about a rental truck that I reserved. When I went to pick it up I noticed that the 15 ft truck was not large enough for my move. As I was checking in via â€œuhaul share â€œ I was told that there was a 26 ft available at the location I was renting from but it would be an additional $10. I agreed an I was charged $80.94 for the 26 ft rental. When I got confirmation I was given the code to the key box. The key I received was for a 15ft truck. I called the 1-8000uhaul number and they saw that the upgrade was in the system. They referred me to a local scheduler. I was then informed that the keys for the 26ft truck was not available. The Scheduler recommend that I cancel/turn in the original rental and go to another location to get the larger truck. So now we are charged twice and the error was uhaul s fault. I would like a refund of my $80.94. As I did not take possession or drive or move or open the original rental. I have NEVER been so frustrated with a rental situation as this. It takes me twenty minutes to get someone on the phone it's almost impossible to logged into the uhaul website.Andre D.

The guy behind the deck was not very friendly, he took for ever to check the hook up on the trailer. Two people were working but it still took to long to just take a picture so I could get on with my day.WAYNE G.
No issues with rented UHaul equipment. Staff at this location(other than young woman at counter) remain indifferent, slightly rude; As a customer I felt like i was an inconvenience - If needed i will utilize a different rental site, even if it means going a few extra miles.Vincent S.

It took me two times walking in the door to find someone to check me out. She only wrote it in a notebook & then wasn't going to send someone to help me drop the trailer. I had to ask. Also, I had to call 24 hours later because they still hadn't checked my trailer into Uhaul's system. They waited another 24 hours after that to fix it and almost cost me a late fee!! I would never recommend this location. I rent from Uhaul regularly and this was the least professional experience yet.Sheralyn C.
