Train storage companies that lease your vehicles to offer roadside assistance. I was offered collision insurance but not roadside. I was stranded in mud with a uhaul and I had to pay out of pocket to get the truck pulled out by a wrecker company. I will never use uhaul again.... BEWARE rent at your own expense.Kimberly S.

I was charged for three gallons of fuel and a $25 cleaning charge for a six hour rental. I only drove the truck for a TOTAL OF SIX miles. How is it even possible that I used 3.6 gallons of fuel? Also, I returned the vehicle in the same condition I received it. The cab smelled.of smoke when I got it and the floor was wet, so actually I returned it in better condition. The attendant at East Nashville Storage did not inspect the vehicle when I returned it, so I was unpleasantly surprised by this charge. Will be taking my business elsewhere (like Home Depot) for local rentals in future.Jennifer P.
The original rate on website said $675. We arrived at 3:00pm to pick up the rental, and our rate was jacked up to $874!!! The attendee said it was because we were late? Our scheduled pick up was for 1:30p? I did not read in the rental online documents that there would be any additional fees if picked an one hour and a half after scheduled time. In fact, the registration had been cancelled and the attendee said that it had been done by UHAUL. He also was very impatient and could offer no explanations as to the almost $200 increase of now $874? I explained that we had a delayed flight and he was not listening or trying to help. I booked a pickup truck based on location, availability and PRICE. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle I was told that local management required me to pay an ADDITIONAL $25.00 in CDW Coverage. This was not budgeted for and was a very disrespectful way to communicate a fee when the booking was made the day before. I would have gone elsewhere if I could have, but I had planned around this booking. I will not recommend this location. As a customer I think it is a fair expectation to be communicated all fees and expenses at the time of booking. I would have booked elsewhere had I been told there would be an additional fee at this location.Courtney W.

I was made to pay a $25 insurance fee because the van was new, after I made this reservation over the phone and it was not mentioned. Also could not checking in virtually, in fact, it said my appt got moved to the next morning, the only saving grace was the guy inside working late who could get me checked in. I was told to drop my keys in the â€œdrop boxâ€, but could not find one. When I called the phone number on the door no one answered. I had to wait outside for 15 minutes until the employee at this location came back from a break just to drop my keys.Brian A.
Steve, at the East Nashville location, was polite, attentive, helpful, and insightful. His attitude made me happy that I chose this location. I would like to suggest making the back gate accessible to pedestrians. I live nearby but on the backside of the property; it would be helpful to be able to enter/exit the back gate by foot or wheelchair.Jonathan L.

Not rent a trailer that is not hooked up properly. Also the lights did not work. The salesman said the f word as he was lifting the trailer. This was in front of myself and my son. Highly unprofessional!!Burgin C.

My reservation was lost. Also, we were promised a 15 foot truck and received 10 foot. Lastly, we were told if we returned truck to Knoxville within 24 hours, we would receive one day rate. We did that and were NOT given one day rate.Jenna A.

The Uhaul was very dirty upon pick up. There was leftover trash from the person before in the front seat and cup holder. I tried to add multiple photos but the website would only let me add one. The bed of the Uhaul was also very filthy. It needed to be swept out several times before we could use it. I've used Uhaul multiple times, and I've never had an issue like this. Took 30 minutes for my information to be reviewed on the website and for me to be given the code to the lockbox for the key. Website kept crashing when trying to upload photos. Couldn't go through the truck return process due to website malfunctioning. I will never ever recommend doing a mobile truck pickup to anyone nor will I ever do it again. Facility had a rude employee. Truck had muddy/dirty cab. When I got to my destination, and opened the back of the truck, it was in worse than the condition of the cab. I swept the back out 3 times, including once when I was finished. I called once I cleaned the truck, initially, to complain. I moved. The facility was closed when I arrived. I was charged $25.00 for cleaning the vehicle by the website. I answered the question about was the truck clean for another family honestly. I said 'no'. I feel I shouldn't be responsible for the lack of cleanliness of the truck when I got it. I have been on the phone for an hour waiting to speak to a customer service rep. Two people answered the phone, and told me it wasn't their department. I called 'Customer Service'. What department do they work for? I didn't think any company could have worse customer service than AT&T. Congratulations Uhaul! You now have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Finally got someone who could help. She said someone would contact me in 2-3 business days. Thanks! That's helpful, not.Russell A.

I put plenty of gas into the truck when I was done driving it (20 miles total). Yet, they still charged me a fuel surcharge for not refilling it. I called and wrote an email, but no one responds to me. Truly terrible customer service.Alex L.
The folks at East Nashville Self Storage are fantastic. The gentleman helping out on Saturday communicated expectations clearly throughout the morning. I was very disappointed, though, when I went to sign in online to pick up my truck at 8am to find out that it wouldn't be available until 9:30. I chose the online option in order to get my truck early, and not being informed until 8 that it wouldn't be available for another hour and a half was not ok. I'm not sure if that's a setting EN Self Storage needs to change, or if that's on the UHaul side, but this location does not offer online early pick ups, and the UHaul app/website should reflect that.Jennifer A.

On Monday May 19th, 2020 at around 1pm I arrived at the location to drop off the keys. The person working behind the counter was helping a white customer and was standing close to that counter and customer. When I, a black customer, stepped to the counter to be helped he backed away and turned his nose up as if he was disgusted. It made me uncomfortable, and I would not recommend anyone to this facility based on this interaction!Kyanna F.

The location is nice and convenient. However, the cab of the truck had food leftover from the previous user as well as crumbs and grime in it. The back of the truck was perfectly clean. I recommend making sure trucks are fully clean before the next customer, other than that it was fine.Alyssa K.

The vehicle was sort of clean. The cup holders had sticky gunk in them and an overall wipe down or vacuum of the cab would help.. It seems like just trash had been picked up out of it and no other effort to clean it was made. But overall everything was as expected.Antoinette W.

There was an obnoxiously loud screeching noise coming from the truck whenever we were driving on the interstate. I have no idea what would have caused this or how it could be fixed, but I would have been furious if we were moving across state lines and had to listen to that noise. For the money customers pay, we deserve to have trucks that conveniently and safely get us from point A to B with no added stress. Thank you.Lauren W.
