Best & Easiest rental I've had!
The check-in process on a Sunday was challenging but calling customer service helped work out the kinks. We ordered blankets and there none in the truck which was unfortunate since we ended up using our own which got rubbed and worn in a few places on the drive to our destination. These were nice blankets that we felt we had no choice but to use.

Yes, Katie was the only one at U-Haul that was Helpful! Every other person I spoke with did not Give a rats ass about my issues!! Even Customer service when I called was Clueless, and have NO business being in Customer Service!! Supposedly the Contract that I signed and the Contract on the U-haul computer is quite different!
We ordered our truck in Fishersville and had to drive 35 miles away to pick truck up. Completely upset because it wasn't at our closer location. We also returned truck to place on our contract and they charged us a wrong drop off location fee. Completely dissatisfied with my experience of the UHaul company. Not the people in the local offices. This was a horrible experience on top of the stress of moving itself
I was not able to get the truck at the scheduled 0700 time but Katie and her father at Model rd and location very nice and helpful!

Service was very good. Only complaint was the equipment. Rained during the drive, and the trailer leaked a little. Seemed to be on roof seams 6 inches from each side length of trailer
Grottoes location said I reserved a 17 foot truck but not so when I went to pick it up. Tried to give me a 26 foot truck. I had to drive 36 miles total just to pick up the right size truck from a neighboring dealer and it cost me 1.5 hours time on my busy moving day. Not thrilled with U Haul!!!!!!!!
They did not have the blankets I had reserved in the reservation. How to improve? - Have the supplies available that you commit to having. This as no my prefered location, but I was given no choice and the confirmation for where the trailer would be was not confrimed at 6PM as promised, but 8AM the day of the pickup. This is POOR performance.

Clean, well organized location. Friendly staff and quick service for both picking-up and returning.
Despite making my reservation for Charlottesville, I had to pick up the equipment an hour away in Elkton. I would have preferred to be told equipment was unavailable, rather than lose 2 hours for 2 people (plus gas) driving out to pick up the Uhaul. Additionally, there was no utility dolly in the Uhaul, despite me having paid for it, and being assured it was present.
