JOHN LAbsolute shit show. After confirmation at Midland Ave for 9/28 @ 11am I was transferred to South Ave which is probably the farthest U-Haul from me. After I requested that to be changed to Bay Street it was confirmed they would have the truck for me. At 10:15 on 9/28 I was called to let me know Bay street does not have the truck and I was transferred to Arthur Kill Rd. After speaking with someone I was assured Arthur Kill Rd would have the truck for me. When I got there, they did not have a 15' truck for me and when I finally got a truck it was after 5pm and a 10' truck...

Xiangjia SI absolutely do not recommend renting a truck from this place. There are no U-Haul employees here, just a phone number that cannot be reached. You will spend several hours to get the truck you booked and you will have to call the custom service to return the truck. Avoid this U-Haul dealer.

waui kI ordered moving blankets and they didn’t have any which was a huge inconvenience since I got the truck just to move a grandfather clock. I had to go out of the way to buy some. The back of the truck was dirty. I estimated I would need the truck for 5 hours but traffic held me up and returned the truck after 6 hours. I was charged double for the rental of the truck and hand truck even though the price is for a 24 hour period. I wouldn’t recommend this location but if you have to use them make sure to say you need the truck for a full day and return it early so they don’t double charge you.
Vincent DWhen I picked up the vehicle, I was informed that there was half a tank of gas and to bring it back with the same amount in the tank. I put in gas prior to returning, and sent the picture to JP showing mileage and gas amount in vehicle as requested. I was still charged $15 for gasoline. I should not have been charged this fee as I returned vehicle with enough gas. I supplied before and after pictures of dashboard. Be careful with this vendor.

Nikolaos RThe process to obtain the vehicle was incredibly frustrating. There was no agent on site. The person we booked with the day before, didn't answer the phone. We had to contact customer support and the operator was not polite. The van's check tire light was on and after looking to confirm, it was low. Luckily we weren't going very far. Save yourself the trouble and aggravation, go elsewhere.
Thomas ZI deal with J.P at my location at staten Island, Everton, and Arthur kill Road. Very courteous, very professional and makes the process very easy. Would definitely recommend this location to a friend.

Akinyemi AThis was a bad experience from start to finish. Our original reservation was for 8:30 a.m. - the truck was not available, so we were referred to this location at a 9:30 start. We had an appointment that took us from 9:30 until 11:15, so everything was delayed. We hadn't used the app before - the guy at the counter was not helpful in that regard. Figured out the app by ourselves, and when we turned in the truck keys early, we didn't realize there was anything left to do. We got home and checked to see the balance, but it appeared as though the truck was still checked out. We called customer service, and they tried to reach the location, but no one answered the phone and the voicemail was full. It was raining at this point, and getting dark. I had to go back to the location later that night and tried to use the app to close out the rental. Although I had a picture of the mileage, I couldn't upload it from my phone - I had to use the camera exclusively, although I no longer had access to the actual truck as it had been turned in. It was a mess. Didn't appreciate having to take photos of the truck in the dark and in in the rain, and no one seemed to care about the process. Rotten app, bad instructions from the location, bad experience.

I was having a little difficulties with the app, but they help me along the way I called them they didn’t sound annoyed they were like very friendly. Helping me along the way then to come out and find out that my brother left his wallet there in the car. His employee went there and he was very honest he found it nothing was missing in the wallet, honest employee and I will recommend them to everybody including my friends like I said at the last minute I need a U-Haul. I always pass by there and I knew it was there, but I did not think that it would be so easy for me they help me out to the end … customer if I have to do it again, I’ll do it again and I read them recommend to everyone including my friends and family

NATHAN SAfter going to two different locations further to my home, i was directed to Elverton location. Closer to home and the service was great. The guys were helpful and professional at all times. This will be my location of choice for all future rentals.

Nic ATruck drives rough. The pictures didn’t match the actual truck. Pictures look like they were taken when it was brand new it had a lot of cosmetic damage both inside and a lot outside.
