The gentleman, Mark, that helped us was very professional and helpful. The only negative feedback was my pickup time was at 2pm and he was not there. I had to wait until almost 2:30. The truck was in good condition and handled well in traffic. That being said, the overall UHAUL experience based on the booking agents at the booking office somewhere in Va. was a 0 out of 10! To begin with, my wife RESERVED our 10 ft truck 7 days early so I could pick it up in Washington just a few minutes from our house. The day before our appointment, a representative called me to say the truck we reserved would not be there; I would have to go to Grantsboro which is an hour in the wrong direction. When I said that would not do, the Agent said that was the only 10 ft truck that would be available. I asked about the next size, 15 ft. Still nothing in Washington but there was one that would be available at Discount Furniture on Evans St in Greenville, 30 minutes away. I said that was ok and the agent also gave me 50 bonus miles for having to drive to get the truck. I said I would call my wife to make sure that was ok with her. It was, 5 minutes later when I tried to call back to confirm; I was on call waiting hold for 25 minutes before I hung up. I called the store in Greenville and spoke to the owner who I have dealt with in the past. He pulled up our reservation and confirmed it but only 28 miles had been put in as a comp. The truck arrived as we were talking, and he sent an employee out to the truck to get the odometer reading. A few minutes later, with the odometer reading in hand, he was able to up the comp miles to 50 as promised by the booker. This was Thursday at 3:28pm. Friday, our pickup day, brought another call from UHAUL Corp. at 11:45AM. P/U time is 2PM. It was the same lady from Thursday. I told her I had spoken with the store owner and had confirmed the appointment. She said fine and thank you and hung up. 30 seconds later, I got a text message from UHAUL confirming our booking for a 15 ft truck in...wait for it...Merry Hill. An hour in a different direction! I immediately called back and asked for the same lady. I was told she was unavailable but that this person would help me. I pretty sure she got cussed at this point. This was the fourth attempt to get a truck and we had now been pushed to a 4th location! This agent attempted to tell me that the truck I was to pick up did not arrive and was being held over by the previous renter. I ex[plained that I had spoken to the store owner himself who verified that the truck was there (it arrived while I was on the phone ). I pushed back and was told " That's all I can say about that". She said she would look for another truck, and I was put on hold for several minutes before the agent came back and said she had a truck at a different location in Greenville just a few minutes further away. Comp miles now at 60. I said fine and received a text confirmation for the booking to be picked up at 2PM. Out of curiosity, I called the store owner at the discount furniture store, and he said he was sorry he didn't know what happened, but my booking was not for there anymore. So now I had a larger truck than I wanted that cost more, and had to drive 50 miles round trip to pick it up and this was only after refusing being pushed in 2 other directions that were at least 2 hours round trip. Also, if you are renting a truck from UHAUL, you should be careful and read your contract. Our $135 rental was $196 by the time all the extras were added. I got it down to $170. I turned in the truck Saturday, a day early, with just a few miles left to empty more than the truck had when I picked it up, I still ended up getting charged another $6 that I think was for blankets I did not use and that were already in the truck when I picked it up. NOT A SATISFIED CUSTOMER! I really wish I had more options in my area!

Vacant building and area and not well marked. Self serve return process discovered on our own. Knowing that in advance would have been helpful. No personnel on site at all. It truly looked like a vacant building.

This was a self drop off. no staff available as operations were closed when arrived . lot for drop off was clean and easy to drop off trailer.

This drop off location looked like an abandoned building and the lot was very unclear as to where to park. There was also long grass and other weeds growing everywhere in the parking lot and me and my party left with over 40 combined little sticky sharp thistles stuck to our clothing and shoes.

Unfortunately this was an extremely poor experience. I had called the day before to ensure my vehicle was ready and was assured I would get a call back once they knew. I never received one. When I arrived the owner did not know how to dispatch a vehicle so I was left waiting while he found another staff member who could figure it out. Then they had difficulty finding the key for the van. I had also reserved 36 pads and a dolly. They did not have enough pads available. I asked them to make sure they documented this so I would be charged for them upon turn in. After calling a few times to ask if they they said they had not, and I gave up realizing they would not take care of it. They also told me they didn’t have a dolly, but then found one. Finally, the van had a check engine light on and they shrugged it off saying it should be fine. Overall an extremely bad experience, and I would encourage U-Haul to look independently and see if they think they should be using this location to rent equipment going forward.

The car trailer was missing lugnuts and had to be replaced with a new trailer. Very disappointed I got a bad trailer!

First rental truck had flat tire parked in lot. Replacement truck was very dirty in cab but otherwise in better condition. Rental office took way too long for transaction and doubled time as first truck was unusable. Need to pay more attention to the truck conditions and their serviceability before trying to rent them.

I went to return my U-Haul yesterday and had nothing but problems with the app. I also had issues with the app when I went to pick up my U-Haul but nothing compared to yesterday. I was out at that location for an hour and a half trying to do my return process and all that it would show was a white screen and after a few minutes would say “no network connection” when I had all 5 bars. Every other app on my phone was working just fine. This location was not in a good part of town so having to spend that long trying to do that, out there…not very safe. I called you guys and was told a 50 to 60 minute wait time. Did the call back option and when someone finally got back to me she gave me a number to call and said they could help with the return process. She gave the same number that I had already called and it said the same exact thing. This return process was very upsetting.

When I reserved my truck I paid for a hand truck, a furniture dolly, and a dozen furniture covers. When I got home with the truck to load it up I opened the back and none of the supplies I paid for had been provided. The location is closed on sundays so I couldn’t go talk to anyone about it in person, then I tried to reach out to a uhaul employee on the IM customer service thing and it said the wait would be 23mins. So my moving experience was A LOT harder than it needed to be and I couldn’t even get my money back for the supplies that I was not supplied.

Just not pleased with return policy. I returned the auto transport a day early, no refund. Then returned all the unopened furniture blankets, never used, still in plastic. No refund.

I paid $22 for a furniture dolly and a dozen blankets, none of which was included. The process to check in was difficult due to issues with the app.

I had no problem with the site and really appreciated their assistance with this rental. However when I received my final bill and realized the per mileage rate I was at a loss. I think your mileage rate is a bit excessive since I work in the commercial trucking industry and our per mile rate is not that high it seems like price gouging to me.

Always have what I need. Trucks are clean full of gas. Very friendly. Second time using Emmanual Automotive Service Center and will use them again for U-Haul and service on my car

The first location where I went to pick up the truck was polite and handled everything well, but didn't have my complete order. The second location where I went to pick up the missing furniture blankets and dolly (they weren't at the site when I went to pick up the truck) was well maintained and the staff were very friendly.

dolly and blankets I ordered weren't available at this location receptionist and worker were busy running an automotive business so had to wait employees were both super nice and informative, just would rather deal with a UHAUL only business, not a business that does UHAUL on the side

I ordered dollys and hand trucks, and prepaid for them. However, when I picked up the truck those things were not there. I had to waste time going back to the location to get them. I also had to pay for more time because of THEIR mistake. They offered nothing in terms of reimbursement for THEIR mistake costing me more money. I understand now why you're never allowed to give zero stars.

Include trouble shooting instructions for the 24/7 option and some kind of reimbursement for time that is wasted when the UHAUL app/website does not load properly or sync reservation information. My first reservation would not sync with my account dashboard and no one knew how to help me. I finally cancelled the reservation to attempt to reset my account. I was able to reschedule my reservation easily. However, this was a time consuming process. For those who are not very tech savvy this process can be a bit daunting. I would suggest watching the tutorial videos provided and thoroughly reading the directions. If you have a hard time using the app, use the traditional website to take the final photos of the odometer/fuel.

The trailer I was given had bad tires. I end up on the side of the road. I took pictures of the tires in question but I can not up loaded them here. Then I call roadside assistance and it took over 4 hours to get the help I needed.
