We didn't ask for furniture padding, which was fine, we didn't need them. But they were covered in cat pee and smelled the whole truck up

The equipment was clean, the 26' truck needs an alignment. In order to drive straight, the wheel was cocked at about 45 degrees. The suspension/air ride was shot. Drove like a tank (but I'm assuming that's expected with a 26' truck with 163xxxK miles) End of the day, truck was drivable and did what I needed it to do.

It was really easy and the store clerk was very helpful. The truck was dirty in the cabin and ran really rough. But I still thought it was worth the money and the location was very convenient.

The online reservation was easy and effective but the online review of vehicle condition was not. Everything looked good from the outside but once in the drivers seat you could see the dirt and grime on the counsel and dash. The vehicle made loud grinding noise, similar to a power steering pump going bad. It needs service.

When driving the uhaul it shakes like the engine is coughing. When you got a certain speed the whole truck begins to shake. It took longer for the move because we could not travel the interstate because the truck would shake so much I was scared it was going to break down. When I tried to call the contact number I received no answer on several attempts

So there is a hidden charge besides what you see on the invoice . I got 2 different charge one for invoice and other one from location! This is a highway robbery!

Uhaul rep over phone did not have initial reservation correct. I was then sent to another location area unsafe as someone was shot/murdered in area just a few hours before I got there. The Uhaul rep was late opening store (time change) so I was in turn late picking up items which caused me to return truck late for which I was charged an additional 39$ for. Truck was dirty and passenger seat belt did not work. I had my nephew in the truck with me. Aweful experience.

He did not have the furniture pads, mattress bags, or tape that I had purchased and was guaranteed would be there. He was busy running his gas station business and had little time for me. U-Haul did nothing to make amends for the problems. I had to drive the rent truck to a different location to pick up the above mentioned items. Took over 2-1/2 hours combined to pick up the truck and extras.

The lady was very rude in getting me set up. I had pre ordered a 26 ft truck and a car transport as well as 2 hand dollies They didnt have but 1 dollie and no car transport. I told the lady I had pre ordered them and she told me it wasent her problem I could take what she had or not that it didn't matter to her. I had to have my wive and daughter drive from mobile alabama to Charleston South Carolina to bring my car home. I will never use Uhaul again if I can help it my phone number is 251 454 3064

The store rep was late. The truck I was assigned had no gas and the check engine light was on. The other truck I received had no dolly and I was still billed for it. The back also smelled like urine. Hopefully my furniture won't smell the same. I will never, ever do this again.

Representative said the gas tank was full, but was broken so it showed an empty tank. We drove the truck 17 miles and brought it back and he told us we needed to fill it back up. When we started pumping the gas, it took 19 gallons, so obviously it was not full when we picked it up. He made us pay him $28 for the gas. It was very dishonest of him and he was not polite at all. I will never use this location again. He also said he couldn't provide me a receipt, so I asked if I could take a picture of the receipt that was showing up on his computer. I had to step behind the counter and take a picture of it with my phone.

Truck was not cleaned out; clothes and junk were left in the truck from previous renter; gas was empty and had to fill up before departing; paperwork and online pictures were not updated for exterior damages found on the truck, which prompted me to take pictures before departing; and i got mistakenly billed for returning the truck with a 1/4 tank of gas when the vendor claimed i was supposed to return it with 1/2 or 3/4 tank. I counter claimed that i took a picture of the empty gas tank per the online checkout list.

Last time i rented a truck, the tank had to be full upon return or there was a big fee i also remember they only get around 8 miles/gal This time the truck was only just under 1/2 tank, and since I had to take it an hour away, I filled the tank which cost me $77. A lot better trucks now, because the gauge barely moved so it was returned with just about a full tank.ni am not happy, not only do I feel that should be taken off of my bill, i was also charges $1.43 for goong over the mileage (which you knew where I started and where I ended up) Please have someone call me Also The unloading helpers I scheduled to unload the truck did not show up because one of them went to jail after getting pulled over on the way to the unloading site (2 and a 1/2 hours after they were already supposed to be there). They should be removed from your site and not allowed to advertise.The u-haul truck sat idle for 18 hours while I waited for another company to come on load my truck because I physically could not Dave (517)673-6767

I do not think they checked out the trailer when it was brought in. When I picked up the trailer they did not check the out before I left. I hooked it by my self and checked my own light to be sure they worked . I had a blowout when we were almost home . The 2 tires on the right side were not in good shape. The front right side blew out, and the back one (same side) worn down to threads showing. While I was getting the the trailer the paper work was fine. Other then that it was not good.

Truck was dirty, the check engine light stayed on. Found out that night the right headlight was out as well as the right blinker. Had to keep truck additional day since we could not drive it at night. Not satisfied!

Please have vehicles cleaned for the next customer. There should be no reason why a vehicle has cigarette ashes in the cup holder and overall a unsanitary vehicle. Also, no need to have an online ready pickup option of customer still has to complete an in person registration. Very time consuming. Bad experience!!!

Location did not even have all the equipment I asked for. When asked about the equipment I was told don't have it call U-Haul. I rented a utility dolly to help with my move but was told it wasn't available. I will not recommend uhaul to anyone will be leaving a negative review for the locations I had to deal with. Worst experience ever.

This email I received several days before the pickup: We have a 20' Moving Van and Appliance Dolly reserved for you and guaranteed Saturday, 6/22/2019 at 8:00 AM, returning Saturday, 6/22/2019 at 8:00 PM. We are located at 8480 RIVERS AVE, NORTH CHARLESTON, SC 29406 and our phone number is (843) 804-6592. When I arrived, the attendant said they were out of dollies. I was moving that day. Joke of a company.

I don't know how people miss the giant Enery Mart sign in the sky. The gentleman the was very eager to help and get us on our way. I had ordered my truck to be at the same location as my storage unit - that didn't happen and was very, very, very inconvenient, but other than that the service and equipment were exceptional.

I reserved the truck two weeks in advance as well as confirmed the reservation 4 days ahead of time. The truck was not available at the location I had reserved it and they sent me to this location. This location wanted to charged double the reserved rate and would not honor the original price. I then had to drive back to the first location, pay and then go back to the second location again! I received no paperwork and was merely handed the keys. I had to call the 800# to verify a return location. The truck was the worst I have ever rented. It seems the suspension was worn out as the truck shifted left/right as we loaded it. While driving, the truck swayed to the point it felt like it could tip over. The brakes could barely stop the truck and the engine was unable to exceed 30 mph on steeper hills. This is the third 26' truck I have rented in the last month and the other two had no issues maintaining a safe speed of 60 mph on these same roads. I was concerned enough about this truck that I called the 800# and suggested it be taken out of service; something bad will definitely occur when an inexperienced driver rents this truck.

The place is not well advertised as you drive by it without knowing it's a uhaul place. The clerk was more interested in talking to an associate than in waiting on me.

I rented the uhaul truck and trailer one way rental on 12/29/2018 7:01pm from Energy Mart 8480 Rivers Ave North Charleston, SC 29406 and returned 12/31/2018 4:45pm Covington hwy Lithonia GA 30034. there was no damage to the truck or trailer and other person or any other vehicle upon pick up during the travel or drop off.

The truck was picked up at a gas station with a very kind gas station attendant who was very helpful. The reason I mark that the truck was not "clean and well maintained" is due to a number of dents, a bent side, holes in the seats. My concern is that I would not want to be held responsible for any damage as I returned the vehicle (with no incident) in the same state that it left the lot.. I made sure to take plenty of pictures before leaving the lot. The vehicle was in working order and was a smooth ride overall.

the man at 8480 rivers avenue , n. Charleston 29406 was HORRIBLE !!..I was instructed by email and voicemail by U Haul to use this as a drop off. When I arrived he refused to take the truck and was saying that my truck was too big. There was two other trucks parked there the same size as mine. He was yelling at me saying that I had to drive it to another location. I had to call the number on my email and have them call him in order for him to take my truck back. He then tried to charge me with gas on my card. I have a picture of the gas and miles on the truck and they both were exactly what it should have been in order for me not to have to pay anymore money. I WILL NEVER use U Haul again and will tell anybody else not to use the Charleston location.

I reserved a 10' truck, when I arrived at the location the app and the man running the location told me there were no 10' trucks available, even though I was parked next to one. I then had to rent a 15' truck which was more expensive and larger than I needed. When I took the truck out there was 1/8th a tank of gas, when I returned the truck there was 1/8th a tank of gas but I was still charged $24 for gas having gone less then 20 miles with the vehicle.

I had filled out the reservation online to pick up the truck from this gas station pick up location. The man behind the counter was a little hard to understand with his accent and seemed to prioritize his store customers over helping with my rental. He called someone who I assume was his partner to verify my rental and had me talk on the phone with him directly, essentially going through all the rental options again. The man on the phone also had an accent and was hard to understand, made harder by the general noise of customers in the gas station store. Everything went fine, but made for a rocky start trying to work out the rental details even though I had set up most of it through the online reservation already.
