My only complaint would be that only one employee seems to handle the UHaul rentals. I had to go back several times to talk to the right person. They kept saying "he'll be after 7" or " he'll be here after 9." Other than that, the fellow was polite and very helpful. It would be nice if other employees were taught to handle the service.Greg L.

I didn"t like that the store clerk took my drivers Lic and visa out of my sight to do the "paper work". There was no lic.plate on the trailer which I didn't notice when I left the pickup location. One of the ratchets for the strap tie down was inoperable so used one of my own. I originally asked for a Swan River pickup but was switched to Dauphin MB which added 4 hours to my driving time, I could have easily picked up a car carrier on my way to my load rather than the extra driving. Once loaded I had no issues with uHaul and wasn't stopped because of the missing plate. I found the people on the phone to be very pleasant and professional. Over all I brought my load home safely and on the day I planned. Thankyou.Kris R.

The car hauler I picked was in good shape other than one of the tie down straps was broken and was unnoticeable until we went to load our vehicle. We feel that the rental agent should have done a better inspection of the trailer to make sure all parts are in working condition.ted A.

It is not the locations fault. However, I ended up with a truck smaller than promised. And a trailer that did not meet the specifications indicated. And this I had to make several extra trips. STILL did not manage to move all the things I required, AND ended up paying significantly more to be able to do so. Very unimpressed.Ric M.
We had multiple problems at this location. I booked contactless pick up using my phone. It didn't work, despite calling Uhaul for help. Eventually we had to enter the building and the clerk working told us he couldn't help with Uhaul rentals. The owner arrived, saw we were having difficulty but quickly left without speaking to us. After 1 1/2 hours, we finally had a truck and drove less than a kilometre before the engine light came on. I returned and had to again enter the business to switch to another vehicle. Another half hour and we finally had a truck. This one was dirty with garbage left from a previous user. I was unable to use my phone to return the vehicle the next day. We have expressed our concerns to area representatives in Winnipeg.Sharon P.

The owner wasn't there to check me in and process payment, the printer didn't work to give me a receipt, I had to chase off people from my truck while waiting for the owner to show up to process the transaction. The trailer was filthy, I had to brush it off myself to make sure rocks didn't fly into others on the highway after I left. The trailer brakes hardly worked, I adjusted them myself when fully loaded to do a proper adjustment. Guaranteed location for pickup was complete garbage, I was supposed to pick up in Brandon Manitoba, what a terrible experience. Your saving grace U-Haul is that your customer service representative in Winnipeg was great to deal with. I should have spent the $500 in fuel hauling my own trailer rather then trying to save $100 and renting a trailer.Chad G.

Truck needed to be cleaned inside cupholder where sticky and there was some garbage under the seats. It was difficult to make a booking and uhaul changed my booking on me last minute which was absolute bullshit and costed me 100$ more to borrow a truck to get the rest of my belongings moved.shaelynn K.

The poor girl working had no clue on what to do. Her manager wouldn't answer her calls and she kept calling customer service for help. I had a confirmation # as it booked over the phone the first time, but that wasn't good enough I had to go out to my car and rebook online to get things moving. It took over an hour for me to finally get the truck. More training or maybe training in general for this service needs to be taught to the employees.Meranda B.

Never returned my calls when they said they would, VERY dirty washrooms truck was down a liter of oil and windshield wipers were steel on glass. My original pick up point was Brandon and this took 5 hours of my time and expense to travel to pick it up but thankfully Uhaul gave me a break on my rental to offset the costs incurred Drop off was good and equipment worked well .Mike D.
We showed up to pickup the trailer, the guy didn't even come out to offer help hook it up or point out any safety features while towing it. The trailer was filthy, we had to clean away the dirt just to hook it up. I wouldn't recommend anyone picking up anything there.Robert S.

Location was changed from Brandon to Dauphin, requiring twice as much driving to get the truck in the first place, and then it was only a 20ft, instead of a 26ft like we made our reservation for. Received the wrong dolly. Ordered an appliance dolly and received a regular dolly.Michael F.

After reserving trailer at this location 3 weeks prior to the date I needed the trailer I luckily checked before lunch the day before and found out that the trailer is not booked for the next day. After conversation with customer service she indicated he had never put this into the online system, she found an trailer for me in Eriksdale which I had to drive to pick up which is 4 hours driving and $ 55 in gas out of my pocket. The lady indicated that I would one extra day. When I returned the trailer on Sunday and on time the person working there wrote my name on a piece of paper and said something which I think sounded like his boss would look at it. The next day I received notification that he charged another day rental on my credit card without my approval. At the end of this ordeal this move cost to myself doubled. This experience is surrounded by fraud, lies deceit and by far the worst run service provider I have ever dealt withrudi V.

Thank you Uhaul for your work for us. Unfortunately the previous customer didn't return van as planned, so we couldn't get our van on time resulting in an extra day of moving and subsequent expense. Our desired size was unavailable so we were given a significantly larger van than desired and had to pay resultant fuel. We would be very grateful for whatever can be done to ameliorate this.Christopher M.

One person working, he couldn't leave the store and I was worried he didn't even check out the equipment and I was worried about being charged for not having it looked over. It also wasn't the best to unhook myself. Most people wouldn't have been as skilled to back up the trailer like I did and it just felt sketchy I was worried about being charged an extra day even though I brought it back in time. I get that it's a slow location, but lock the store and help me. No one was buying gas or in the store. Someone could have hooked to the trailer after me and it would have been pinned on me. There was a lot of unsettling questions I was left with.JODIE S.
The uhaul was dirty in the back, I asked for an appliance dolly and received a utility one. I had no use for it. Due to the lack of supplies I asked for, I could not move everything.Crystal R.
When I showed up to the Dauphin location, he advised that nothing was in the computer so he has to re-type all of my rental agreement. I watched while the Fas Gas attendant would leave the back room and ring in each new customer, obviously interrupting my rental procedure. I was 35 minutes waiting -from the time I arrived, to the time he told us which trailer. Then we had to clear off the snow, warm up the hitch as it got water on it and iced up etc. When I called in to Uhaul on Saturday, the gentalman I spoke with said â€œwell you got your trailer didn't you?â€. I will NEVER deal with Uhaul again and post this experience on social media! Such a poor experience! The Medicine Hat location was not a problem.Dana S.
When I arrived at the drop off location a day early then what my contracted stated. The attendant was a knowledgeable, unhelpful and questioned me like I was a criminal as to damage on the trailer. Of course there no damage on the trailer and he did eventually come outside to look. I also took pictures of the trailer prior to pick up just to ensure that I would not have any issues when I dropped it off. The attendant was unhelpful when it came time to back up or park the trailer he basically left me on my own. I asked if there was any paperwork or if I have to call somebody when I return the trailer and he said no and I have no record of drop off other than my original contract when I picked up the trailer.Gerry V.

I'm out over $100 for a 4X5 uhaul trailer... for one day! When I attempted the contact uhaul personally they kept hanging up on me. I paid a $60 deposit and did not get it back. Not impressed with the customer service at all, the man who rented us a uhaul was very rude and talked down to his customers, he knew we asked for a 5X8 but would only allow us to have a 4X5 and still charged us for a 5X8. I will definetly never use this company ever again! This is one upset and unsatisfied customer.Stephanie S.

When I went to reserve & pick up this vehicle in Dauphin on Mon Sept 18, to took well over 1 hr as there was a recurring U-Haul website problem - "balance outstanding" which did NOT permit me to pay by my credit card. I finally had to drive to an ATM, get cash & pay with cash. Otherwise I would still be standing there. The owner tried 3 times with the exact same result each time. What a waste of my time.Also, I was overcharged for the distance as I barely made 20 kms & was charged for 80 kms. This was a local move in the city of Dauphin, Manitoba.terry K.

The owner would not give me my deposit back, he said he would call on Monday, being it Saturday that was not an option, he was rude and a I don't care attitude, I had to call wpg for them to tell him to release funds, I had problems there last time. It never said anything, I will never rent again because of this experience, I told my uncle who was gonna rent from there, now he will not, I really don't know why uhaul would have him as a customer when he provides no customer service at all, and it was not because he had no cash in till, the worker said he had more than enoughcal W.
Truck was pretty beat up, rollers for door were missing and the rest were rusted, making the door hard to raise. Air leak when pushing the brakes which usually means the brake diaphragm is no good, safety issue. Fuel was under half which I left it over half. Wind noise in cab was unbearable, couldnt hear my radio. Engine oil pressure dropped to about 10 PSI, thought the engine would quit on me. Was told I had to take the insurance, didnt argue because I just needed the truck, but I didnt really want or need it. The reservation I made was not confirmed at the location, when I got there they didnt have a confirmation or a truck, offered a 20 ft truck instead of 26, finally worked out to get the 26 ft truck. Why book ahead if the truck wont be ready. I received confirmation emails to say the truck was available and ready. Overall, not a great experience.Kevin N.

Difficulty unhitching the trailer. There is no jack / lift on the tongue of the trailer so you have to manually lift the trailer, while at the same time lifting the hitch mechanism to release the ball. I had to go in to the store to get a second person to lift the hitch mechanism while I lifted the trailer up. Why is there no jack like there is on almost any other type of trailer?Greg L.
trailers and trucks have always been great. however. u haul in general is not a great company to deal with . I and friends have used them in the past always issues! Issues getting the trailer or truck ,rental facilities not very helpful and have to call. This time i am hauling my trailer and u haul calls not once but 3 times and ask for truck info cr dit card info all give in when i called and booked trailer then head office calls because they can't get credit card to work always isuesWayne W.
The guy was busy at the gas station counter and I was in a rush as it was raining really hard, I went out and read the km for him and also parked the truck, he did not know what to put it on and I asked if I had to sign anything? Anyway I guess I would go there to rent because it's your name I want not fas gas?cal W.
