The location was not prepared for a return of equipment. Staff was away from the location. I checked in my truck by telephone. The location was in the middle of nowhere. I chose it because I was dropping off my cargo in Clyde. The two locations were at least 20 miles apart. I should have chosen better and would never chose this location again.Robert S.

U-Haul head quarters did not notify me that my location changed from Jonathon Creek to Clyde. U-Haul customer service did not resolve my issue or communicate that my location changed to me the night before as it should as stated in the electronic contract.Emily M.
Drove 1.5hrs on the back of my buddy's motorcycle, through the mountains, to this remote location to pick up a 15' truck. The place said we don't have a 15' foot truck here and called dispatch. After waiting an additional hour, I had no choice other than take a 26' truck to travel 900 miles home. I had to pay extra insurance for the larger truck. The fuel bill was around $400, a huge added expense. It was a terrible experience.Anthony C.

Pick-up location was an utter disaster. Ensure when an agent says they have a vehicle that is actually is there. Prevent the customer from wasting time and driving from one place to another in search of a vehicle. This snafu costed us $401 as the movers sat around for 3 hours doing nothing while we searched for a vehicle. Even tho we had called the day before to confirm the vehicle was available at the first pick-up location.Michael M.

I called and filed a complaint because my original pickup location in Canton wasn't even open for me to pick up the truck. It was a HORRIBLE experience. It cost me a lot more money and time. I NEVER had any resolution for my aggravation. I don't feel that I was compensated for my aggravation, time or money. To top things off, I didn't even get a truck with a full tank of gas, yet I was expected to pay for a full tank, which I did. I can't believe how horrible of an experience this was!!Laura K.

The location was great but there were issues picking up the item. The servers were down with uhaul and whoever we talked to at Uhaul was very rude and I ended up wasting about a hour of time and could not pick up the truck. I was then called asking why I was late to getting my truck and that uhaul rep was very rude as well. I had to explain to her that her own companies servers were down. I was then made to drop off the truck at the same time I was scheduled to pick it up, when I couldn't get the truck for over 4 hours late. So I essentially lost 5 hours of use of the truck! Not impressed with uhaul over this.Nicholas M.

Would highly not recommend using this service period. I was up charged on a 26 foot truck when I was told that I was getting it for the price of a 10 foot. The staff at the Clyde location was very arrogant and unprofessionally. He at one point asked for my credit card and Id and never gave them back and made a comment about not making any money because I prepaid for the truck and then up charged me. DO NOT BUY HERE. Originally I reserved an open 5x8 trailer from the S Asheville location. They would not let that trailer go out one way even though I had reserved it online. They told me there was one in Clyde, NC 50 minutes away one way from where I was headed. I arrived at this location and was basically told that I had to take a box enclosed trailer, they too did not want to let the open trailer go one way. What a complete sham your reservation system is, if I had ANY other option to rent a trailer I would have, and I will not use Uhaul if at all possible ever again. Ferguson Supply was polite, and I understood their situation, but the overall system is flawed.JONSTHON M.

After filling out all our info online it still took 45 mins to check out.After repeatedly trying to check out the trailer it turns out the trailer was listed as overdue due to the fact that they hadn't bothered to check in the trailer when it had been returned. This delay caused us to lose the man we had hired to load our trailer at our storage unit. This location was also out of the way for us.Patricia H.

Every time I rent with U-Haul, I end up having to drive to a second or third location to pick up the equipment I ordered. This time the first location was supposed to be open from 1-4 on a Sunday. I arrived at 1:30 and the gate was chained and locked. No answer on either phone number, no voice mail available. I called Uhaul customer service, which did secure another trailer for me but it would be 40 miles round trip to get it. My moving help was standing around getting paid for nothing as I chased down an available trailer. Once I found the location, way, way out in the most rural of all places in NC, the person that processes the orders had already left for the day. I waited over an hour to get my trailer, and then had to drive all the way back to my house. Needles to say, it put me WAY behind on my loading. I swear I will never rely on Uhaul again, and I have used them probably 20 times in the last 30 years.Patrick G.

CORPORATE PROBLEM (not Drop-Off location) I was told I could drop the trailer off at any U-Haul dealer. I elected to drop off at the location I originally specified. When I did, I was charged an additional $16 fee for doing so. GET IT TOGETHER, CORPORATE! I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MANAGING YOUR LOGISTICS!!! Service at the Drop-Off location was EXCELLENT.James M.

My biggest disappointment with U-Haul reservations/scheduling was when I was told that I could only rent the appliance dolly for 10 hours. It doesn't make any sense to me that you have to rent the dolly while you are loading then have to return it and travel to your destination one way and then try and find and rent a dolly to unload a refrigerator, freezer, washer and dryer at your destinations locality while the clock is ticking on having to return the truck at the prescribed time. This should be available for the same time frame as the truck is rented. Fortunately the location I picked up the truck at provided me with the appliance dolly for my entire one way trip. I applaud Ferguson's Supply in Clyde, NC for being understanding and responsive to my needs and for providing me with the much needed dolly which enabled me to travel from NC to Macon, GA, unload my truck and appliances and return both to the U-Haul location in Macon on time thereby avoiding any further unnecessary charges or expense to me. Thanks for asking and listening to my concerns. The two locations that I dealt with were superb! Thanks again. Mike Bowermike B.

The location wasn't ideal for us. Online we had a location 5 minutes from where we needed it. Uhaul changed it at the last minute to 35 minutes away plus GPS didn't function way out there ( very rural) and it took an hour to find the location. Then it took 30 minutes just to do the paperwork. The trailer was blocked in so we had to maneuver to get it out. Mr Ferguson was super great to work with but we were on a schedule and lost a lot of valuable time. I fault uHaul for this.Tony M.

Mr. Ferguson has so many trailers, he is running out of places to put them. Apparently this area is a low rental, high return area. U-Haul needs to get some of these units to areas were they can be utilized.Paul J.

Previous location that I was suppose to pick up at was closed during the time they were to be opened and the locations facility in very poor and driveway full of mud holes. I would please ask for this facility to be shut down.Matthew L.
