Worst uhaul experience of my life. The most inept person working the desk It took one hour to get the truck. She was so confused she had to cancel my original reservation and start over. In the process she SOMEHOW removed the 32 free miles I was supposed to get. I will never use Uhaul againSUsan W.
I was overcharged when I returned the truck for gas, as I spent $45 to fill it before I returned it. The woman at Fort Knox said thay it was a gauge reading error and that the district manager would have to credit me. Lance, the district manager stated that he would refund the $65 charge, but has not done this yet and it has been about two weeks. I have called him several times. This would have been a good experience except that I can not get this resolved.Greg D.

We requested and confirmed a dolly for our move, but when we got the truck there wasn't one available, but we were charged for one anyway. We were told, when we dropped the truck off, that we would have to call and request a credit. Their mistake, therefore we should not have to do the leg work to make sure we receive a credit.Dennis H.

There was hardly any parking space for the drop off. Also, the only area I could drop the trailer off was on a down grade. So I had to use cones that were by the door as wheel chalks.Benjamin C.

Too far away from actual use point; UHaul did not provide vehicle in preferred location which was Pompton Lakes, NJ. When we inquired why, we were told that the routing was from Pompton Plains, NJ which was not the confirmation I had when I made the reservation on line.Bruce S.

We got to the U - Haul on Clover Rd. at 9:00 am, and waited 20 mins. for someone to open they were late arriving, then my husband had to unhook dollie from back of truck, then there were over 60 blanket cover's inside we helped take them out and put in office then we were told drop off was in Lake Huntington NY, then we got a text, it changed after unloading to return truck in Bethel NY returned it same day evening at 8:05 pm VERY UNPERFESSIONAL FEEL WE SHOULD GET SOME $$'s backPENNY LEE N.

Fort Knox was excellent - website a little spotty. I requested a 10' box and it registered as a cargo van. Thankfully, Fort Knox found one for me. I have heard from others about the same problem.robert M.

They overcharged me; might have charged me twice - still have to clarify with my credit card company. Had I not looked at the rental contract, I would have never known it until I got my credit card statement. Poor business and poor customer service, in my opinion.Steven Y.

The first women I delt with Friday sept 27th Melissa was very polite and respectful. I checked my balance on my debit card and saw I was charged again from uhaul. So I then proceeded to call uhaul and the women told me she couldn't help me to call back Monday. So I went to the location and my fiancÃ© went in. She then pushed him aside when another customer walked in and told him she could not help him. I went back and she had the door locked and was sitting in there I then proceeded to knock on the door and said I have a problem. She than said sorry can't help you her name is marina. She should not be working in a company where she has to deal with people. She was very arrive and disrespectful. I'm a manager at walmart and if any of my associates were to treat a customer like that they would be reprimanded and delt with. I called uhaul directly and she was able to help me but do not go that location!!! And I will not recommend anyone to go there!!MARSHA P.
I ordered the 26ft truck to include a hand truck & moving blankets. Upon confirmation I was told no hand truck was added to my order & there wasn't enough time to get one. I also requested blankets but again not available. Thankfully the attendant was able to find a couple of blankets at the last minute. My issue with all of this was it took me three operators to get someone to understand my move, simply from Milford, Pa to Drexel Hill, Pa. I have had to give my information several times just to complete the registration for the move. (several phone calls) Just when I thought it was together I find out no hand truck & no blankets???Not a good experience & probably will not recommend U-Haul.MAUREEN B.

I did not even take the auto carrier. They did not have the right electrical connection, so I had to go buy a adapter, then they told me that I needed a 2" ball for the hitch.I went to buy a new reciever and ball, when I got back, it was not a 2"ball. Horrible service.I would never go back there again.And the girl was very rude,she thought all of this was very funny.while she sat there with her boy friend laughing. The location itself was a reputable business. UHaul reservations, however, was as close to a bait and switch as currently possible. A trailer the size specified was located at the desired pickup location 2.5 miles from where my wife was located. Only the day of pickup was an email sent that annotated that the trailer was only now available 1.5 HOURS away, not even close to the desired and previously confirmed pick up location with no excuse. This left my wife, three year old son and nine month old daughter to take a three hour round trip the day before a 12 hour driive to bring the trailer back to the pack out location.This was an experience that left me disgusted from a customer service perspective and guaranteed that I will pay the premium to use the alternative versus deal with this hassle. I of course do not expect any feedback from this, I just hope that some one with some influence in these issues somewhere in the line applies some rigor in backing up what they advertise. The repercussions may be small to you, but exponential to those on the receiving end.MACIE M.

We picked up the truck with the mileage changed by hand, and told it would not be a problem on the other end...which was not true. Dropping off the truck was very difficult due to this store not making the correct changes to the mileage.Paul R.

My pickup time was 9:00am but the location didn't open until about 9:20. After waiting 20 minutes for the location to open it took 45 minutes to process the transaction and they did not know how to take a credit card. The Monday after I used the Uhaul I received a nasty phone call from the location demanding payment by credit card immediately and telling me that the delay was my fault. The delay was caused by the person who was suppose to open the location not showing up until after 9:30 and the person who opened the store at 9:15 did not know how to use the Uhaul system. The two employees that were suppose to open the store arrived after 9:30 and spend the next 15 minutes arguing with each other about how to work the computer. I will NOT use Uhaul again after the very poor service I received.,Chris D.

Truck was dirty from previous renter - They must have been hauling plant material - lots of dirt and plant material in the truck. Also the hand truck was in the truck. (I did not rent this - I have my own.) I had to clean out the truck. Truck was brand new - that was cool. However drivers side door has issues on closing. Had to close several times each time I used it. Overall - good rental.JANICE B.
