I had my belongings there for about two years, when I finally retrieved them I was surprised that the items were not dusty at all, they didn’t have the smell from being stored away for a long time, and everything seemed as if I had left it the week before. The staff are really nice and friendly and I appreciated the fact that the storage didn’t hound me for payment but they would send out a casual reminder in a very professional way however. My only suggestion would be the hours, it was always hard for me to come by during the hours of operation, But then again it’s not their fault my personal schedule doesn't comply. So over all I would say it was what I needed at the time and it worked out for me. So thank you. And yes I would recommend GM storage.NANCI A. | Overall Experience

The only issue I had was when I booked the truck on line it wouldn't accept my payment but did confirm a location to pick up-it have me a number to call which I did and I paid over the phone -he told me someone would call to confirm a pick up time -when they called they changed locations-I told her I already booked to pick up in Burbank but she said it wasn't available and sent me to Van Nuys! Same issue when I returned it -I set it for Daly City but said I. Any because they are too full and had to go to San FranciscoRANDY S.

I was told that I would get a phone call. none. my previous uhaul teller told me I had 1 hour upon reservation to get the vehicle. this was one of the 24 hour locations. I was right under 1 hour when I was told that I either canceled it or that i was late. fortunately I found a truck within 20 mi. no huge complaints but I'd like consistency.LUKE C.

The truck leaked oil on my clean driveway, it had trash i had to clean before i returned the unit, there is one entrance keypad on the outside of the gate with no infrared sensor, i almost locked myself inside the lot in the after hour, nobody answers the phone on holidays.MARIO I.

This location was great, I've rented from you guys a couple times, but I wanted to pass along feedback regarding the Uhaul app and after hours drop-off. It's a great idea, but needs some improvements - - Staff should prep customers about the process. I was not aware that I needed to complete checkout while at the location and that photos would need to be taken BEFORE dropping off the key. The app should allow for the ability to upload photos, not just take them within the app. (I took photos for myself, but couldn't upload them) - The app needs some basic coding improvements. The keyboard blocks half the app and covers areas that you type into. - The after hours drop-off has a significant flaw. It requires a car to leave the gate - but how would I have a car inside and drive the truck there? This should atleast be disclosed to customers who are doing an after-hours return so they can plan accordingly. Hope this is helpful. ThanksTaylor G.

Maintain the truck. Lights inside the truck barely worked. We had to put our high beams in to have any lights at all. The shocks were almost gone.stacy S.

Every 10' truck I have rented and I've rented it about five times and I rent it once a month to do the Rose Bowl flea market in Pasadena has been different. This one needs shocks or something it was incredibly bumpy and springy as they sometimes are, but the last time I rented a truck which was from the Van Nuys location at Saticoy and Van Nuys the truck did not have springy shocks nor a bad transmission like the one the month before- it was a good truck I should find out what number it is an ask for it.Julianne H.

The Uhaul self-return app does not work well at all. I had to return the vehicle late last night after the location closed, but could not do so properly because the app froze every time I tried to let it access my phone's location. I had to come back this morning to finish the return process in person, which made the morning very difficult as I work during the day. This is not the first time I have tried to use the Uhaul self-return app and had a difficult time with it, either. A little over a year ago, I tried to use the app to return a van after a location closed for the night and it took a very long time to get it to work correctly so that I could complete the return process. While trying to figure out how to work around the numerous glitches in the app, I discovered copious posts in online forums from Uhaul customers who had the exact same issues. Again, this was over a year ago - one would think that in this time, such issues could be resolved satisfactorily.Christina H.

The location and staff there were awesome. I am very unlikely to recommend U-Haul though because the online rental process, trucks I signed up for not being available, and the price/change of price was misleading.Laura T.

left my apartment parking pass in my Van by accident, i called back 20 MINUTES after i dropped it off. The employee said he through it away, and than i told him i really need it, than he said, AND I QUOTE "UHH I THREW IT OUT, AND IM NOT DIGGING THROUGH THE TRASH TO GET IT" he through out my pass and said he's not getting it....... WOW THANKS UHAUL ! WORST SERVICE ON THE PLANET. IF this is not fixed i will be writing a horrible yelp review.CODY H.
The front desk assistant was very nice and professional. She went over the contract with me throughly, and answered any questions I had. I got a text for the after hours drop box at exactly the time specified and when I texted back indicating I forgot to remove my lock, the response was almost immediate. Is it weird that I want to move again just to use this Uhaul location?? Honestly, I wish I found this location sooner. The facility is up to date, clean and the staff as very friendly and professional. The truck only had 800 miles on it and the dolly was new too. Since the truck was newer it felt easier to drive, reminded me of my car but up higher. Thanks for making a stressful time so much easier!Kristi S.
