This was the second time I used this location and got charged the additional insurance fee even thought I didn't select it (or need it) when I booked. The management at this location needs to address why it's automatically added after the fact. Not acceptable.

Yesterday, I rented a van for 4 hours (and returned it after just two hours). I drove it 18 miles. And put in just over a gallon of gas before returning it. Yet when I received my receipt via email, I was charged for 1.8 gallons of gas. The employee (JOSE RODRIGUEZ) insisted it was not returned with the proper amount of gas. I have a receipt with my purchase and a photo of the gas tank/mileage when I returned it. He then refused to refund the gas charge. I suspect that he is running a scam on customers in the hope that they don't check their recipe.

I had someone from TaskRabbit do a small moving job for me while I was out of town. The rental went smoothly and everyone was helpful. The cargo vans are easy to drive, and can handle just about every smaller move.

Make sure the vans are clean prior to rental, and require the gas gauge be returned at middle or full. Anything in between is confusing and it cost me 15 extra dollars. Not happy about that.

I declined the insurance coverage when I made my reservation, but upon pickup, they told me it was not option and I had to take out their insurance.

Dear U-Haul, First of all i really like your service and the locations we rented from always been super nice. I have no complaint about that, but last weekend I rented a U-Haul truck to drive from LA to Oakland CA order number 20279770. The truck did have a big problem regarding safety, which I found out when I was driving on the 5 freeway up north. The right (passenger side) mirror, was constantly moving out of alignment, .and because of that I had no view on my right side, which made the situation unsafe. Almost every 30 minutes I had to stop to adjust this mirror. The drive now took hours longer than expected and I arrived late at night in Oakland. I made it save in Oakland, but was frustrated about the drive I had feeling unsafe and being super late because of the mirror issue. I'm not sure what your policy is regarding these matters, but I was wondering if there is any compensation for this situation. I let the U-Haul people at Oakland know about the faulty mirror and my experience with it and they said they will take a look at the mirror, but they mention nothing about u-haul procedures for customers, that's why I'm mentioning it here. I have always been a pleased U-haul customer and this is my first time experience an issue. Please let me know what you can do regarding this matter. Thank you and I wish you a wonderful day! Keep the people working at this location!!!They were professional, courteous, and absolutely honest about their liability and Mine! I used my insurance to cover myself, but I have certain insurance that covers me. Some people don't have that coverage, and for those people, pay the extra $10 and you're equally covered. As Usual, U-Haul Rocked it out of the park...

I booked an appointment for a specific time and when I arrived the office was closed. No one returned for an hour. I explained I would be returning after hours and I was told that would be fine. When I returned it the gate closed behind me, and I was locked in and I had to call the emergency number to get out. I was also charged for two days of service even though I returned it the same day! This was an all around horrible experience. The truck also smelled like cigarette smoke, although, obviously, that was the least of my concerns.
