For some reason, when I returned the van at about 3:00 p.m., there was no attendant on duty to settle my account. A number of irritated customers had been waiting for the office staff to show up as well

Dear U-Haul, First of all i really like your service and the locations we rented from always been super nice. I have no complaint about that, but last weekend I rented a U-Haul truck to drive from LA to Oakland CA order number 20279770. The truck did have a big problem regarding safety, which I found out when I was driving on the 5 freeway up north. The right (passenger side) mirror, was constantly moving out of alignment, .and because of that I had no view on my right side, which made the situation unsafe. Almost every 30 minutes I had to stop to adjust this mirror. The drive now took hours longer than expected and I arrived late at night in Oakland. I made it save in Oakland, but was frustrated about the drive I had feeling unsafe and being super late because of the mirror issue. I'm not sure what your policy is regarding these matters, but I was wondering if there is any compensation for this situation. I let the U-Haul people at Oakland know about the faulty mirror and my experience with it and they said they will take a look at the mirror, but they mention nothing about u-haul procedures for customers, that's why I'm mentioning it here. I have always been a pleased U-haul customer and this is my first time experience an issue. Please let me know what you can do regarding this matter. Thank you and I wish you a wonderful day! Keep the people working at this location!!!They were professional, courteous, and absolutely honest about their liability and Mine! I used my insurance to cover myself, but I have certain insurance that covers me. Some people don't have that coverage, and for those people, pay the extra $10 and you're equally covered. As Usual, U-Haul Rocked it out of the park...

I booked an appointment for a specific time and when I arrived the office was closed. No one returned for an hour. I explained I would be returning after hours and I was told that would be fine. When I returned it the gate closed behind me, and I was locked in and I had to call the emergency number to get out. I was also charged for two days of service even though I returned it the same day! This was an all around horrible experience. The truck also smelled like cigarette smoke, although, obviously, that was the least of my concerns.

Rental truck cabin was not clean at time of rental. I asked for a rag and cleaned it out. Other than, good experience!

Nothing. My entire experience was very positive. The manager at Safe Storage, Karina Florian. was A+ in customer service! Everything went very smoothly. One new thing in my neighborhood though. I received a parking ticket for parking a commercial vehicle (U_Haul cargo van) in a residential area at about 2 AM...I exceeded the maximum hours. It may be a good idea to warn customers about this. Karina said there should be a sign warning of this & I checked. Nothing. Good news - when I called the phone # on the ticket for the amount due I was informed that the ticket had been closed and nothing is due. This was probably a warning since this rule is new in my neighborhood (91405 area - Van Nuys/Valley Glen). Karina said the rule applies to pickup trucks too. Customers should be informed that this may apply to where they plan to park their rented vehicles overnight. From now on I will rent earlier in the day and return in the early evening. Thank you!

I had to pick up the Uhaul by myself. I asked where I could park. Answer: On the street. Fine. But the guy could have said MORE than "watch the signs." I got towed. He could have been more helpful and said, "Just make sure to not park on that street from 4 to 7. Watch the signs" He works every day next to these signs, he knows what they say, so help a customer out and fill him in on the exact rules. I clearly have more on my mind, that's why I'm renting a UHaul! Also, the truck I got smelled bad, the "tighten gas cap" light kept coming on and the engine light came on once. Also, the driver door is loose and it's hard to shut. I'm not renting from Uhaul any more. I'll be trying a different truck company next time I need a truck. Get it together UHaul! UGH.

Good morning, Unfortunately the customer service I've experienced was completely awful the young women that I had the displeasure of meeting charged my debit card twice although payment was made yet put on hold for authorization she made it clear she wanted payment at all costs.
