I was over charged for the smallest truck they had only had it for 4 hours my bill was 91.00 dollars. Never received a final bill I had to look at my credit card invoiceto see what I was charged.Alfred G.

I would not use U-Haul in the area with the likelihood that I could pick up here again. I would recommend getting trucks as close to Athens as possible or find someone more reliable to be providing great U-Haul services.Hogan H.
Sadly I discovered the hard way that: The enclosed trailer that I was connected to was not properly inspected prior to me leaving. There was no lights check. The the lift door was jammed open and it had been raining - the inside was wet and filthy. I realized this once I arrived home; I mopped & cleaned the inside. Then I fought to release the door, finally succeeding after having bruised both of my hands. While driving the trailer after nightfall we were stopped by a cop for having no running lights! There didn't seem to be much concern and no apology upon our return of the trailer and discussion of improper lighting/electrical function. I learned a valuable lesson: don't take for granted that attendants/employees/owners will carry out expected tasks. In the future I will inspect and do light checks myself prior to a hookup/leaving with equipment!Brittany M.
the guy inside the store had to call someone to ask about the key when it was hanging behind him the whole time and it took way longer than it should have. the truck was unlocked and cigarettes were in the ash tray and smelled so strongly of smokeTaylor C.
NEVER USE U-HAUL. BOOK ANYWHERE ELSE. It is impossible to imagine anything U-Haul could have done to make my experience worse. This location was OK but I should never have been there. I booked a 15' truck, for pickup in Athens, GA, where there are 9+ U-Haul stores. The warning that I might be directed elsewhere in the "vicinity" certainly would not make anyone think they'd have to go 45+ miles away ($57 Lyft ride) to pick up. The day prior to my pickup, I received a call telling me to go to Greensboro, GA (also 40+ miles away in a different direction) to pick up my 15' truck. The morning of the reservation, I got a call from Greensboro saying they had no idea why I was directed there, they had nothing available. Because they did not answer the phone, I drove to the 2900 Atlanta Hwy location in Athens, GA, where I had originally reserved pick up, hoping for assistance. I was the only customer in the store, and there were 2 employees, so I was surprised they were not answering their phone. Both employees treated me horrendously, the lady even rolled her eyes at me at one point. The gentleman, who said he was the manager, must have thought her rude treatment was fine, as he did not intervene or assist when I asked if he could help. After calling the same central U-Haul number I could reach on my own, they said all that could be done was for me to go to Elberton & get a 26' truck - twice the size I needed. The Elberton employees were extremely nice, although the 1st truck they gave me had bad brakes & they had to change me to a 2nd (also 26') truck. I incurred an extreme additional amount (estimated $575) in travel costs, including tolls & gas from larger truck, and extra night hotel due to delay caused by U-Haul. I also had the ridiculous stress of driving a half full 26' truck - instead of the 15' one I reserved almost a month in advance - up the east coast & through 3 stops in NYC. U-Haul does not understand at all that those making reservations are relying on product & schedule. This should be an underlying premise of their business, as it is with Penske, Budget & other truck rental services, yet at every single conversation, I was told that was not guaranteed. And made to feel it was somehow unreasonable for me to expect what I reserved, when I reserved, at the price I reserved. NEVER AGAIN.Elizabeth S.
When we picked it up they told us it was already booked we could get it a six that afternoon. We ran all over town to find another one but couldn't. One hour later we went back to tell them we would take it at six. They told us we could get it then. We wasted one hour and then we got it.Becky R.

The owner was not at the location, the gas station cashier had to call her/she said â€˜they had just left the store bc they had things to do.' Age ansl time me â€˜customers just figure it out' when I asked how I hook up car tow to the truck I rented. So a random guy the cashier knew walking into gas station helped me figure it out! I called uhaul number today report all this/make sure I was not liable for my car or trailer if something was done incorrectly.Johanna H.
When returning the truck the system had me down for a 20 foot truck as well as a 15 foot truck that I rented. Gloria's Corner was trying to tell me that I should return the truck with a half tank of gas when my contract that was in my hand said a quarter tank. Afterwards I called the main U-haul office and was on hild for at least 20 minutes and spoke to Scott. He answered my concerns but give me a half hearted sorry for my trouble at Gloria's Corner.Calvin B.

Rented from this location several times recently and it's TERRIBLE! Look up my number 973-841-0855, you'll see I've rented a lot of times over the years. This location is HORRIBLE. It's a gas station run by a husband and wife but the husband doesn't know how to process the uhaul so he calls his wife. There's screaming babies in the background. I've rented from uhaul MANY times yet she'll ask for things I've never done before. I can check in yet still takes me 20 minutes because she's never at the location. I rent trucks and trailers for business so if I make a reservation for 10, I need it at 10. I don't want to show up at your location and he told I have to wait 20 minutes for her to come when she actually never comes to the location and is so unprofessional with handing the husband's cell phone back and forth, heating a baby crying... I have stated to the husband, if you want to be a uhaul dealer learn how to do it right. At this point I hate uhaul. I switched to Budget for a long time because it was so much easier. We switched back to uhaul because our new location is not near anything but uhaul. At this point, we are going to try another dealer in town. If that's a hassle, we'll be happy to drive the 20 miles to rent from professionals. At this point it seems uhaul doesn't really care about performance or customer service, they just find any idiot who want to be a dealer and puts no standard. You may be our motivation to buy our own trucks as clearly you'll let any idiot be your representative.David G.
Consider not charging people for an entire day if they're only 2 hours late returning the truck. Train your independent distributors so that they actually know what they're doing.James L.

Store clerk on the register only person there, between checking out customers and clerk trying to take and register me through her junkie cell phone. Taken way to long. Then I had to move uhaul trucks to get to the tow dolley. Other than that , the dolley pulled flawlessly. Thanks UHAUL!!!Gregory V.

Difficult to tell where to drop off. Appears to be a dark parking lot in front of a car wash of some sort next to a gas station. Lot was full and unattended when we dropped off, so we just wound up finding somewhere to put the trailer.Megan C.
The operator (store clerk) did not know how to rent the uhaul. He told me to go online to fill out the rental request. Then he came back and had me talk with his wife on the phone and she took all my information. There were no supplies blankets, pads, roles, etc available or offered. The truck Interior was not clean with ants on the dash and cup holder.George C.
This place needs lights. I park it in a run down car wash, very dark. walk the parking lot to drop box. a man came out of the car wash and followed me. I did not feel safe. He followed me to my car I got in and was waiting a half hour for him to leave. He stood at the drop box. Could not get app to work on my phone and was being watch by man the whole time. Had to come back the next day. The people were nice. Not safe at night to drop off.dianna V.

Hard to leave a proper review considering how surreal my experience was. Gloria's Corner was the third location - in the third town - in the third county - I went to in order to complete my reservation for a 10ft Truck. Everyone I dealt with was very nice and helpful - however, by the time I was on the road it was 2PM and three counties later, after making and confirming a reservation for 10AM. Safe to say give yourself an extra day or two in your plans and make sure you've got time to drive around multiple counties if you're renting a U-Haul in rural Georgia.David M.
