I have rented with Uhaul for the last 5 years whenever I needed to move and until now I have never had any issues. There was an issue with getting the 15 ft truck I reserved. It was confirmed before my reservation date. The day I was supposed to pick the truck up I was advised it was not ready and the closest one was 45 mi away. This was not ideal for me due to already needing to drive 2 hours to move and due to time restraints going out of our way would not work. I did opt for the smaller truck and we managed. Uhaul did give me a $50 credit for the mix up and thank you for that. During the move I only used 1/4 tank gas. Prior to returning the truck I stopped at a gas station to fill the tank to full since that was where the tank was when I picked it up. From the gas station to the drop off location is a 7 minute drive. When I pulled in to this location it was dark and felt sketchy. I have not been on this side of town before this, but I did not feel safe being outside for too long and wanted to leave as soon as as possible This morning I received a call from the Good deal thrift shop notifying me that my tank was not full and I would be charged $65 in gas. I chose this location for drop off solely on the fact that it was the closest location. I am very dissatisfied with this entire experience. The lady I spoke to was very rude. I told her I put gas in the tank before dropping it off so I don't understand. She continued to accuse me that it wasn't full and I am being charged. She asked if I had my agreement policy and continued to say you received this at a full tank. Yes I am aware! I continued to explain I only used 1/4 tank for the entire move and filled up what I used.She said that I can come look at it before 10 and I hung up on her. I have too much to do to stop what I am doing to go back to that place to continue to argue with someone that refuses to listen over the phone. I will not lower my energy or let anyone affect me in that way. I have the gas receipt and will be disputing this charge when it hits my credit card.Jennifer S.

I dropped the equipment off at 2:00 yesterday, Sunday, August 9th. They had told me they were open until 6:00 PM. No one was there and the door was padlocked. So I called and he said to leave it and he would check it in today, Monday, August 10th. It is now 11:30 and I have not gotten confirmation that it was checked in and when I call I only get a busy signal.sara V.

The uhaul trailer was not available on the day requested. We had to travel an hour to get it at a different location. But uhaul did give us extra days to keep it for our use. That was greatly appreciated.LARRY C.

The proprietor was not prepared even though I had a reservation and took nearly 30 minutes to process the rental. This was not a standard UHaul facility rather it was inside a Thrift Store will old smelly items in the corner in the rear. The owner/proprietor was unsure about the gas gaugeLinda G.

I rented the trailer and I was supposed to pick up at Stevenson Drive and they were to call me with the time for pick up the day before. They did not call and I called on Sunday morning to find that the pickup was at 5:30, although I'd requested an afternoon pick up at 4:00. They found the Chatham Road location had a trailer and said I could get it there. The lady who ran it was very friendly. She did not have the hitches and I had to drive to the Bruns Lane location and purchase it and come back. She also did not know how to hitch the trailer to my van and she went into her resale shop and asked a customer to hitch it. Although freindly, he had no idea what he was doing. I drove it home and fortunately I had a friend there who had used trailers many times. He checked it and found that it was NOT hooked up correctly and he said one good bump and it would have broken loose. Although she was friendly, she needs to be taught how to use the equipment.TERRI W.

It's a thrift store that appeared to be using the single uhaul they had in the parking lot as storage..... They looked at me crazy when I dropped off the trailer and didn't assist me in taking the trailer off of my vehicle!!EDMOND V.
The couple who worked here was very nice, but it took them forever to look up my rental and get me checked out. They were very slow on the computer and couldn't get a receipt printed. Also, I rented my truck online and specifically chose the actual UHaul location because I wanted to look at straps when I got there. But UHaul switched me to the thrift store, which had no straps.ANN G.

there were no instructions, no clear place to leave the keys, and since it is just on a tiny strip, it could be easy to miss when driving by. So few parking places you are not sure where to really leave itBRIEANNA U.

Worst experience of my life. The woman was incompetent and received no training from the Uhaul center. I had to stay there for 2 hours while she attempted to put my order in the computer. I also paid for insurance, but she could not give it to me. This is not even a Uhaul center, it was a thrift shop with one 5 by 8 trailer on location and they called it a Uhaul center.JULIA C.
