This review is specific to the u-haul experience and not the location. We made a reservation for the truck and add-ons on April 20 for pick up on April 29. We called the location the day before to confirm and there was no record of our reservation. How could we do add ons without reserving the truck? We rented that day for $500 more than the original reservation. It was indicated at reservation that the supplies would be shipped to our home and later we were told that we had to pick them up 25 miles one way from our home. The helpers we booked through u-haul were awful; they were 3.5 hours late and damaged several pieces of our furniture. We had 12 moving blankets and they used two. The truck was very in very poor condition and filthy, so our things were very dirty. Overall a very bad experience and would not recommend.

ELIZABETH LThe tech dropped the truck in traffic and did not confirm who it was for. To the regional coordinators that messed up my reservation not once nor wice but three times and left it to other I give them one star.

MICHAEL HImprovement: I think rain was unavoidable! The inside of the truck had a few inches of water but the UHaul rep swept it out. Price? The quoted price and # per mile appear to be lower cost than final cost. Taxes are huge in Central Coast. My trip 240 miles cost around 320 dollars. Worth it, my beautiful oak furniture survived the rain.

RICHARD MThe reserved rental truck was not available at the designated pickup time. It was finally returned to the pickup location almost three hours late and the delay caused a significant inconvenience for our moving plans. The rental location representative was extremely courteous and tried her best to help make the situation tolerable. In my opinion, a previously reserved one-way rental should never be rented out locally for the 24-hr. period immediately before the reserved pick-up time. This situation runs the risk of potentially costing the rental client hundreds of dollars in prescheduled moving costs, if the rental truck is not returned and replacement equipment cannot be found.

JOSHUA LU-haul corporate sucks. Did not have a trailer for me at my original time and location. Reservations mean absolutely nothing. Renters beware. Grover tool and rental saved my day. They are awesome. From now on I will go directly to them.

NANCY M20 foot truck was obviously an older model. Had bugs on the outside from the last rental and was not very clean in the cupholders and stuff on the inside as well as some dog hair and a strong odor. Truck engine sounded like it was screaming. Every time accelerated. And made screeching noises and other sounds throughout the 200 mile drive. I did advise U-Haul when returned it that they may need to have a maintenance or check the engine.
THEA HMake sure there is plenty of gas in the Truck before picking it up.

RICHARD IThe people there were super friendly and helpful, and my rental return was a breeze, but this is a working man's tool rental shop. Don't expect free coffee and doughnuts here. If they have the tool you need, it'll get the job done. No excuses.
