My pickup location was changed from the one I originally chose and was further from my location which added miles to my trip -- the gentleman handling the pickup claimed to be filling in for the "usual U Haul agent" and did not know how to handle the mileage difference. Also, I could not get a response from U Haul's online chat function despite trying 4 times. 50-60 minute wait times made calling U Haul unworkable. Despite all this, the truck worked fine and did its job for us.Derek K.

When we arrived at the pick up location that was changed - the attendant said he didn't have or reservation. Then told us he didn't have a vehicle. After check the key box he gave us another vehicle. The mileage rate was increase from .51 cents per mile when booked, to 1.49 per mile. When we returned the uhaul the attendant told us that we had to clean out the van, which was cleaner than we got it because we would be charge $75. We cleaned the uhaul.Jeanette T.

Both locations were great but the overall service if UHAUL was horrible. I reserved in June 12th for a June 30 pickup, I didn't receive a confirmation call by 6pm on Jine 29. I went to local store to ask about my reservation and was told it wasn't made. I was then assigned a location over an hour from my home, and the auto transport at a different location. This caused a great hardship and extra money. Furthermore trying to get a hold of someone to help during the night before my scheduled 8am pick up was virtually impossible. I spent most of the time on hold and the two people who did answer were unable to help. I would appreciate a call back at 617-642-1817 from a manager to discuss how this experience can be rectified.Andrew J.

The floor was covered in mud. The truck wasn't ready for pick up. They didn't have the dollys and in talking to the representative never plan to. They even told me "we don't have any additional equipment" I had to point out they had an appliance dolly right outside. They gave me that one but couldn't provide the requested furniture dolly making my move much harder and more time consuming not having the proper equiment.Robert D.
We first went to Macungie after making a reservation only to show up to no truck. I was told I could drive an hour and 20 minutes away for another truck. I was told I got a call to â€œconfirmâ€ my reservation and let me know there was no trick, even though I made a reservation a week or so prior. I never received an email stating the truck was unavailable. If a call isn't answered, next ste would be to email someone. So we drove an hour and 20 minutes to the next location to have to right drive another hour and 20 back to our storage unit in Macungie. The Barnesville location was ran by a nice man who helped, but it looked like every gas station in a scary movie. Next time we'd be better off renting a truck from Home Depot to avoid all this mess.William B.

A better organized, and staff location. When returned equipment no one was willing to check it in, they did not help unload equipment, and it took 3 days for return to actually be validated. Will probably not come back to U-haul because of this experience.Daniel C.
I dropped off after hours, and the only complaint I have is that it was a little confusing as to where I should have parked the truck. I parked it next to the other trucks so I guess it was okay. I suggest putting some signage to mark where to park the vehicles, eliminating any confusion.Josiah S.

There was no one available to give me my rental when I arrived, even though I arrived at my pick up time, and the gas station employee that worked there argued with me for almost 2 hours about how I needed a 24/7 share rental because I needed a key code to get the key out of the box, and then when all was said and done he got the truck key out of the back of the building.Tatiana W.

I am very upset because they charged my friend's card for an extra day. The 10 foot van was returned on Saturday May 15,2021 at 3:40 p.m. The gentleman on site told me where to park the truck and to leave the keys on the counter and that his son will take care of it when he comes in.He didn't take my original paperwork. They charged a cleaning fee ,which I feel is wrong because I swept the cargo area out at the return site. The cargo area was dirty when I received the truck,also the cab area had cigarette ashes,pennies and sticky residue on the floor between the seats. I am very, very ,very upset right now.SANDRA LEE K.

I had an appointment at 9 am, the owner did not show up until 10 am, he was extremely rude, and refused to accept payment, forcing me to call uhaul customer service to pay. I was 2 hours behind on my move due to the poor service I received, and it inconvienced everyone helping me move. Will look into other moving services for my next move.DANIEL F.

Overall, there is a problem with your system. I had to travel to Barnesville to pick up my one way rental. This is not right for the customer. There are 3 uhaul dealers in Hazleton, PA where my request was made for. One had 7 units the same size as the one I requested. I somewhat understand that I wanted a one-way uhaul and not a return to Hazleton. But still this needs to be corrected where uhaul delivers a one way to Hazleton and not force client to go out of his way. I will not use the Hazleton Uhaul system again if this policy continues!George L.

Truck dropping oil in several spots. Man not knowledgeable. Last minute pick up location change, not enough miles, fuel not filled to half tank as supposed to be, charged for insurance without asking. Drop off location charged for extra day, for extra fuel and extra miles. After disputing charges, drop off location said they'd remove extra charges. Still waiting!Caryn K.

I canceled the rental became they charg a $15 extra fee after the signing and uhaul fee and I told them what kind of crazy thing is that then I showed them a recipe from a place I rented in another location and they said they charge there own Processing fee and the trailer is only rented till 8 p.m the same day I rent it every rude and Arrogant people when u dont agree with there terms I will never ever rent anything at this location and I would never recommend anyone there either that's crazy !!!Salvador T.

Well ill start this with the trailer i reserved was not the trailer i needed. I wanted the trailer with motorcycle chock. i had to use a regular trailer no others there. Next I got no help on hooking the trailer up to my truck. I wasnt sure if i did it correct in which case i didnt it came of the ball and damaged my new trucks bumper the guy told me where it was and that was it and he got in his truck and left. The milage was wrong compared to the paperwork. Paperwork last 2 digits said 20 but it was really 50. Took photo and kept going to my destination because truck was being rented at 5pm by someone else that same day. Explained to man at desk and he replied you should have brought the truck right back. Inform the customer about the truck, and the cost of how much it costs to fill the gas tank. When a customer reserves a place to pick up a U-Haul, and they're none available and the customer has to go to a different location please accommodate the customer to the best of your ability. Lastly, inform the customer of the process of dropping the U-Haul at the drop off location and that the customer needs a smart phone.Kadijah B.

Owner didn't even know if he had my requested trailer on the lot. Then he left me with doubts about my truck pulling a 6x12. It pulled just fine. Unit was dirty. He never came out to look at the trailer with me or check my truck to make sure I had the right equipment. Also no helped offered to pry this trailer out of the snow and ice it was sitting in when I went to hook up. I had to clean out all the snow and water from the plug end before I could even plug it in my truck receptacle. Because it wasn't on a level solid surface it took everything I had to get it up and hooked on my truck by myself. Also since I didn't check inside the trailer before I left it wound up having a hand truck in it that I didn't request. Horrible experience.Matthew A.

First these ppl didn't even have our reservation. Their system wouldn't work we were there for an hour. Then the milage is automatically estimated for you, at 25 miles. We moved 6.. I've rented this on the 28th, never had a problem any where else with credits from milage from u-haul, and I'm still being charged the whole amount and no credit is on my account when the guy said the 29th after 9am.
