I was under the impression they would be open it they were closed, so I had to remove the trailer myself. Which is totally fine, I was just told someone would do it for me. It was a holiday, so I understand but the drop off process was kind of stressful.MORGAN D.

Upon arriving for drop off, I was advised I could not drop the trailer at this location. I mentioned to the man that I did not have the opportunity to take the trailer elsewhere and additionally, the location is what was designated on my contract. After a long period of back and forth, the man called to his manager/supervisor to address the issue. I explained to her that I did not have time to drop off at another location. She offered a $50 VIP Uhaul credit for me to drop off at the proposed location. I told her that in order for me to drive to the alternate location that I would expect to be compensated for a $100 credit or else I would have to leave the trailer at current drop-off location. Her response to me was â€œdo what you have to doâ€. I felt that the whole scenario was handled very poorly and that due to the breakdown in communication between Uhaul and its representatives, that ultimately the customer had to suffer. I had requested a specific drop off location based on my availability and was confronted upon my arrival with no prior knowledge of the concern.Andrew S.

At last minute received call on 4/29 to drop off at different location . Could not give me exact address. Went there and they wanted us to pay $75. We then took to address on contract but closed My driver, my son had to go to work n 4/30. I went to contact location on 4/30 to turn in key. Big drama for a simple drop off . Originally I was supposed to pick up from a location in Satellite beach. After sitting there for 1 hour without anyone showing up, I had to call and change to this location 15 miles away. They should be removed from Uhaul's list of available locations. They make uhaul look unprofessional.Ryan W.

My only complaint was the process for returning an item after hours. If you have a smartphone and the UHaul app on it, everything goes smoothly. However, if you try to use the website to enter the return information, I could not get it to work and your customer service rep could not help me either. I was lucky that my son was with me and he downloaded the app to his smartphone and we filled out the necessary information. Instructions for using the website should be documented so that either the customer or your customer service representative would know how to do.Ann S.

Using the app was an awful experience, I ended up having to call and was on hold for 20 min only to be transferred and on hold again In order to get the pick up my truck option and then I had to call again in order to get the payment code for the movers. It was very frustrating and inconvenient, esp since I was in the middle of a move and had the movers and friends waiting in meJoanna E.

Highly pissed off that I was charged over $8 for gas when I returned, even though I put 3 gallons in it right before I dropped it off and I only drove 39.2 miles. Was told it got around 15 miles to the gallon, so 3 gallons was more than enoughChristopher S.

I ATTEMPTED to do a self pickup ...and let me tell what piece of garbage service you have on the self pickups.... it took over 1 hour to get the approval.... thank God there was a guy physically present in the dropoff pick up area and he was able to call you guys....because 40 mins wait times are unacceptable ...ARIZARRY C.

can't get a reply from uhaul when my bill is wrong. I guess I will have to dispute it with my credit card company. Hate to take it out on the location but they were the ones that told me they were closed on the week end and I didn't need to return the truck until monday. Don't let another store (Harbor City location) call and try to steal this guy's sale. He got the 26 ft truck for me. I got called by Harbor City location and told the 26 ft truck was Not at New Haven. That was Not True. I stayed with the original contact, New Haven. The guy called me the morning of the move. Yeah, he has an accent. So what. Was surprised at another store calling me. I went with him bc it was ethical and more convenient.MARTHA W.

Pretty much everything, the trailer was damaged, the gentleman at Hi Fi was nice enough. Secondly had to return some boxes because I was over prepared. So I took them to a uhaul location to return. STOOD IN LINE FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF. The staff at the US 1 location in Melbourne FL is so under trained it astounded me to see how Uhaul continues to let them tarnish their... well... nevermind. The only reason I picked Uhaul was because they are the only service that offers trailers. Then after I arrived in Virginia Beach, I was told to drop off the trailer in Chesapeake. This is hands down the worst place. Upon arriving I asked a gentleman working outside if he worked there. He did not acknowledge me or the trailer, then another guy walked out. Told me where to park the trailer, we are not suppose to park the trailer. An equipment drop off is there for a reason. But we decided to help out and try and park the trailer. Both of the guys mentioned afore were standing there one on his phone and the other decided to chirp in when the trailer was going the wrong direction. It took us three times and everytime he said the same thing. So instead of constructive cristism I told him we got it and he stormed off and went inside and with that we dropped the trailer where it was. I went inside to sign paper work and asked for the manager. I was told by the girl at the front desk that she was kind of a manager. Yall have to get this whole customer service thing down. You guys have the only trailers available for rental. Everytime I walk into a uhaul I'm going to regret my decision of going in for anytime here in out. The Uhaul rep on site put in the wrong destination address even after I repeatedly told him that he entering in my billing address instead of the final destination for the move. After I stressed to him multiple times he told me that I would be able to send a text message to choose the uhaul delivery point. Shortly after I received a message saying that I was to return the Uhaul about 80 miles from where I wanted to get to, ending up in me being overcharged by more than 100 dollars.Joao D.
The truck was filthy inside at pickup. It was if a soda can had exploded inside the cab. We spent an hour cleaning the inside cab. Other than that my experience was very good at both pickup and drop off.Bradley W.

I rented the truck for 24 hours. I spent 20 minutes on the clock watching a man who clearly did not know how to use the Uhaul computer program struggle going back-and-forth between the same screens. I then use the next 15 minutes of my rental time to wash love bugs off the front windshield and turn signals. Dead bedbugs on the windshield is a safety issue. Customers should not be on the clock while they're cleaning your vehicles. Lastly, carting around a bag of your blankets that I don't use takes up space that where I could've put my personal possessions.Michael S.
The man there was very rude and nasty! He tried to rip me off when I picked up the trailer. I reserved online for 1 day (24hrs) and then I received a call stating the trailer I reserved was not available at the location I selected. I was sent across town to this HiFi location to receice poor rude disgusting service from a man who refused to give me his name and tried to charge me fpr 2 days. When I told him no I only reserved for 1 day and was only needing the trailer for a few hours, he stated he was closing. and I would have to keep the trailer until the next morning, no problem. I asked him to fix it in his computer to a 1 day rental. He said he could not do that as I already reserved online for 2 days. I showed him the picture and screenshot of my reservation stating it was fpr 1 day! He was very rude and disrespectful and did not want to make the adjustments. When the trailer was returned the next morning, he refused to give me a receipt or any paper work showing the trailer was returned. He hand wrote a price on a piece of paper. I got an email an hour later stating the trailer was never returned. I immediately called him and he started yelling at me on the phone, stating if I dp not like the way things are handled then I need to take it up with uhaul corporate! I again asked for his name, he said his name doesnt matter and it is not my business, call uhaul corporate and slammed the phone in mu ear. An hour later I received an email with a reveipt showing the trailer was returned. He is terrible and uhaul should reconsider their business through this man. I will never go there again and i will never refer or recommend that location to anyone!!david C.
