We reserved a truck from the closest location to our starting point. However, the size truck we needed apparently was not available at this location. We were directed to another U-Haul location to pick up a truck. We were then charged an extra amount ($8) for exceeding the mileage limit. Had we been able to pick up the truck from our initial location we would not have gone over the mileage. We do not feel we should have been responsible for this extra charge. In addition, we returned the vehicle with 3/8 of a tank of gas more than was required. This was pointed out to the worker at the drop off location.

William SI rented a 15' U-haul truck. When the door was unlatched, it would fly open at very high speed. This problem ended up causing a safety issue with the rear door. The rear door was also incredibly difficult to close once opened. I hurt myself many times trying to close the door. I rented a 15' U-haul truck just a few weeks prior, and the other truck was in good condition and did not have any of these problems. They even attached an extra long pull down string, I suspect because they were aware of this issue with the door.

Neil CA truck this size needs a back-up camera. The interior was dirty. It took 30 minutes to download the app and complete online pickup which cut 30 min into my rental time. This is unacceptable.

Michael LEverything was pretty straightforward except the gas fill. On the gas gauge I needed to fill to 7/8 and filled it as such before returning. Yet the reading the next day did not reflect that and I was charged for gas. It also seems as though the charges were higher than expected.
