The location is a shipping and receiving center. There was a 3ft square space for customers to stand in. We were 4 people in that tiny space and the gentleman helping us was not wearing a mask when I picked up and dropped off the truck. The other two people standing in the small space with my partner and I were trying to get packages shipped. The location does not have a parking lot and relies solely on street parking. I had to walk 2.5 blocks to get to the car in subzero temperatures to get the truck, and at night when I had to return it I drove around a 5-block radius looking for parking. When I went back to the location and told the attendant I couldn't find any and wanted to return the keys, he told me to go back and keep looking for parking. Also, when I picked up the truck it had less than 1/4 of the tank with gas. Who rents a truck with no gas in it? It was absolutely unbelievable. I will never rent a U-Haul from this location ever again.Christian G.
I wasn't given the equipment I ordered. No utility dolly but I was surely charged for it though. I opted out for the damage waiver but I was surely charged for that as well. This was an unpleasant experience.DANIELC S.
I ended up going to the wrong location initially (mixed up after making a change to my reservation). The woman on the phone was very accomodating, adjusted my reservation again so I had time to make it to the new location and gave me a significant refund. Would definitely use again.William Q.

I reserved a van for 8 hours only to find out that the location closed at 6pm and that I would only be able to use the van for 4 hours or I'd have to return it the next day, which wasn't a possibility. There was no other location I was able to return to except the pickup point. The van was not at the address it was supposed to be and had to call the location 5 times before anyone picked up and then had to wait for them to call me back to tell me the actual location of the vehicle. 1. Better location - renter ordered to go and look for parking upon returning the vehicle. 2. Professionalism - customer service was atrocious. 3. Cleanliness - vehicle was dirty both inside and out. Unacceptable especially during a pandemic. 4. Sanitizer not available especially when customers have to use the same pen. Not acceptable during a pandemic.Wendy M.

The phone wasn't connected when I was trying to return the uhaul and was having trouble finding parking. No one ever picked up. No one was able to check in my truck when I arrived so I had to leave and hope they'd get to it themselves and not try to overcharge me. It was overall a pretty unprofessional location.Amanda B.

This location is beyond ridiculous. It doesn't have truck parking, how does it even qualify for a truck rental? When I entered the vehicle there was garbage in the cabin: (empty bottles, paper,towels, etc....) I had to clean up to avoid a fee, why should I clean up after someone? Truck had deep, major scratches and dents all over which were not properly marked. I had to document everything and wasted a lot of time. First and last time I'm using this location.Vitaliy Y.

I had no issues with the location, but what UHAUL does not make clear when you book the reservation is that if the store closes, you need to return it on the following day. (so you need to arrange overnight parking and everything). Just keep that in mind when booking the truck.Michel B.

This location seems to be falsifying mileage and gas details. I have provided photographic evidence to uhaul headquarters and am waiting for a refund. Do not trust location and make sure to take pictures before and after rental to avoid same issue if you decide to still give them business.Amir H.

The location is not called HDD General Merchandise Inc. The location is in fact a shipping store with minimal signage that is not visible from the street when driving and the phone number is actually 718-820-2164. This location is very difficult to find and the manager also indicated that the hours listed on the Uhaul site and on the google search page are different from his actual operating hours on the weekends. I say it's probably better to stop by and set up an appointment in person or call ahead to the correct phone number rather than using Uhaul's site Also check-in and check-out is VERY slowRegina R.

I rented the Uhaul drove 6 miles and when I returned it I had to pay $20 back in gas that I didn't use bcz when I received the vehicle the gas wasn't where the system said it was.... that was a total rip offff I'll never rent a UHAUL vehicle again that was a terrible service so I basically paid $80 for a Uhaul and drive 6 miles max that's ridiculousJABARI P.

I was grossly overcharged, the gas was on Empty and tryck was disgustingly dirty upon pickup. Additionaly because of an error on the stores part of putting in the wrong reservation time. The refused to fix the time. Pleae look out for the venue taking advantage of clientsferro F.

While the gentleman working was friendly, our overall experience was bad. We were told to go to a different location on King's Highway. They did not have our truck when we arrived. We were then sent to this location. This required two separate taxi rides and an additional hour, only to end up a 15 minute walk from our apartment--on what was already a busy and exhausting day. Very disappointed. Also, we were charged the $32 insurance fee when we specifically requested there be no add-ons.Terry T.
