Check out took 50 min. No one at location from 11:30 am to 2 pm. While on site another customer showed up and we we were both assigned the same vehicle. Signal is poor in area so return took too long too. I will never use digital rental with U-Haul again unless the location is staffed.Camille G.

The service was the worst! They told me I couldn't pick up until 11 because that's when they opened. Then she wasn't there, and made us over an hour late with the movers, tried to do the check in through text. Then she had me on speakerphone the whole time saying that she had other business she had to take care off, it was clear she was paying attention to that instead and also arguing with boyfriend/husband. They both yelled at me and hung up the phone, at the end she gave me the keys to a truck that wouldn't start. My brother had to start it. I also asked for a dolly and was not there, told me she would leave the drop off location open for me to call and ended up choosing for me.Jenny L.

I got charged 100$ for not putting the gas back to exactly 49 miles from empty the way I received the uhaul and returned it was 37 miles till empty and got charged for going one mile over 20 miles cuz I missed one turn or that's what it looks like on the return fees form 52.54 for 12$ worth of gas and an extra 30$ for them having to add 12$ worth of gas to put it back to a quarter of a tank I wasn't told to fill it back to a quarter of a tank they just asked me to be quickmatthew K.

More communication would be the best thing to start with. Miscommunication, especially via text message, can easily become financially devastating and/or detrimental for people who are unfamiliar with this whole renting process. If you are ignorant or this is your first time, I would recommend that you rent specifically from a uhaul store just to be safe.Patricia R.

Worst experience with U-Haul yet. App would not work. First location had not even put a key in the lockbox for me to pick or failed to put this in the system resulting in me trying to figure it out and on with tech support for 1.5 hours in the 40 degree Austin Texas weather at midnight. Then when I had to go to a new location the SAME thing happened with the app not working and I spent another 1.5 hours in the cold until I was finally able to get the help and drive off at 3:30 in the morning when my reservation was already set at a different location. The website and app were not working properly. I was never sent a verification code when I asked for it. I had to talk to the Uhaul customer service and then the counter at the location even though I opted for mobile pickup.Silvana N.
