DO NOT do the rental and return online. It's painfully long and cumbersome. As much as it can be a pain dealing with people, it is so laborious and time consuming doing on your phone. I do not recommend.Jeffrey E D.

The woman we dealt with at this location was terrible. This location did not have all of the items we reserved and what they did have was not in the truck. We had already left the location when I realized this so I called, and she was extremely rude and unhelpful about it. We also returned the truck on the day it was due but had problems completing the return with the UHaul app. We thought the return was completed until we were prompted by the app the following day to return the truck, at which time we went over to the location and went through the app's return steps. The location was closed that day, but we tried knocking on the door anyway just to see if anyone was there to help us. The same woman was there, and we just ended up getting screamed at that they were closed. I summary, we were charged for all of the items we reserved but didn't get (furniture pads) and an extra day with the truck because of problems with the app. And got screamed at to boot. There was a major issue finding this location. Uhaul sent me the wrong address for this location after changing my pick up location 24 hours before my reservation. The morning of I clicked on the link for the address in the text message and it took me across town. Additionally, I clicked on the email that Uhaul sent and it also took me close, but to the incorrect location. I had to google Heights Mini Storage, and after speaking with the representative (who was very nice and helpful) she menitoned that the location had been purchased and they now use a different address than the previous owner. This caused me to be late to my reservation and then late for my movers at home, which was further away due to Uhaul changing my location at the last minute. Overall, I was very unsatisfied with this Uhaul experience, however, the employee at Heights Mini Storage was so understanding and very very helpful.Molly S.

My rental pickup location was changed without notice, and changed to a facility that wasn't open when I requested the rental. On top of that, the destination was further from my original selection, which resulted in additional charges. Would not recommend.James B.

One of the worse experiences i have encountered. I didn't originally book here. The first place called me the DAY before and told me the truck i reserved was damaged and they told me to go to another location. I had to drive an extra 3 miles to this location. Then, I was told that reservation was cancelled because i took longer than 1 hour to pick up after my 9 AM Reservation. So, i drove an extra 2 more miles to pick that one up. I originally set up a PICK up walking distances from where i was moving (west 18th) and scheduled a DROP OFF right where i was moving too. (Off Fry and West Little York) So, i estimated 25 miles on my ORIGINALLY reservation. The place that actually had the uhaul available, DID NOT schedule the rental the way I reserved it and told me i needed to drop it off at the same location. I DID NOT account for an EXTRA trip to return the rental. So, what was 25 estimated Mileages, turned into 50 Miles. So, your "29.95" 15 ' Rental, plus mileage ended up costing me $119. I will keep this in mind the next time i plan on using moving services. I understand this is a business and you need to make money, but scamming your customers out of additional dollars is bad business. I budgeted for $75-$85 tops after my reservation, NOT $119.Richard T.

The truck was in terrible condition. Alignment was messed up and the company failed to clean the inside cabin. There was what looked like soda spilled all in the cup holders, on the floorboards, and seats. I also was renting and kept calling to extend the hours but the last hour or so I forgot to make that last phone call so they charged me for another day. What a rip off. It wasnt even 24 hours of having the truck. So I paid close to $200 for 10 hours of use of a dirty, not very road safe truck? This isnt acceptable. I couldnt even drive over 50 with the steering wheel shaking out of control.Sheryl W.

everything about this rental was a poor experience. The truck was dirty, the equipment i requested was not in the truck. and I had to spend hours trying to get things fixed. I was charged incorrectly and have still been waiting to be contacted about all the issues that I had with Uhaul. I've used Uhaul for several moves and this had never happened before, so it was very confusing. I think it was this particular location. It was a shady area of the Heights.Brandon N.

This is for uhaul overall: I reserved the 20 foot truck 3 weeks in advance to ensure I had not only that size, but a favorable location. I got neither. I was stuck with a 15 foot truck which meant I had to throw away a lot of my possessions because I had no other means of getting them. Also, I had to drive a lot further to pick up my truck, because the 5 locations that were right by my apartment didn't have the equipment dollies I needed either. I always have a terrible experience with uhaul reservations.Eric A.

They should check their voice mail prior to the end of day and respond. I called and left a voice mail to verify my equipment was ready and did not receive a call back. As well, they did not have everything I ordered. Only had 1 of the 2 dollies I ordered.Victor V.

Waited and hour to find out he would not be open. Given a fourth location only to find we would be given a truck and a trailer with two trucks our size in the lot. Finally got the right truck. Went to San Jacinto St Houston, Texas 77002, location (where I made the reservation for trailer pickup) The guy at the counter was rude and not helpful AT ALL. He said my reservation wasn't at his location, asked him where it was...he exhaled loudly and looked up my contract number. Said it was on Louise St, I've never heard of Louise St, ask if he knew where that was he said no. I asked him if he could look it up, he said no. I said, that's it? You got no info for me? He said no. I'll never set foot in his business, and will be looking for future alternatives for trailer rental in the future. The guy at Louise location was polite and took care of me.Ray P.

I would never refer ANY friends to use Uhaul! It has nothing to do with the location but Uhauls services. Uhaul is a rip off! I was quoted 2 different prices and then in the end was charged even more. Also, even though I had booked the truck well over a week in advance they sent me an email the day before with a different pick up location. When I called to ask about it the lady that answered was RUDE and said the equipment wasn't available at the location I had selected. You can't tell me that they had just found out that information and I feel like I should have been contacted in advance.Amanda M.

The worst experience I've ever had with a uhaul. Employee couldn't find keys and when we helped him find them said we were good to go. We left and then were told that we stole the truck and the cops were going to be called if we didn't come back. Finally someone from uhaul called and put us under contract over the phone. Upon return of the truck we were told that people wait up to 45 mins to take a truck and that he was glad we didn't steal the truck. Overall experience was a nightmare. Never again!!!Tommy E.
This is a scam, I topped off the fuel tank to 3/4, still charged for it, I didn't use the dolly, they said id be charged for it, and I was charged for cleaning when I received the interior in a dirty condition. I'll know better who i'm dealing with next time. Con artists.WARREN H.

HONOR MY RESERVATION! I had a trailer reserved at Galaxy Auto Trim 402 E 20th St Houston, TX 77008 No trailer. No explanation beyond "We don't go no trailer for you." No help offered. I'm furious and will be filing a complaint with the BBB! Instead of $70, I had to spend nearly $400!!!!RICKY C.

My problem was that the Internet said no reservation confirmation could be found. I had to call the 800 number to find where our location would be and when I called there the lady that answered said we'd have to call the morning of our move to confirm that they had our reservation since she didn't know how to bring it up on the computer.
