The truck was dirty, the temperature the day I rented the truck was 40 degrees Pulse and the air condition was not working. I had to pick the truck up at a convenience store and not a regular U Haul location. Still have not received my receiptGordon C.
They are a â€œthird partyâ€ location and will serve their customers first, even if you wait in line. They will make you wait until the store is empty. Had to leave and come back to return vehicle, waited 10 minutes in line and then was told I had to wait longer until all their personal customers were served.Jessica A.

The unit was clean in the cab although there was a partial bag of dog food in the cab and a significant smell of smoke. When I got the van home and opened the back, it had what appeared to be tree and straw debris and smelled like manure. After I swept the back out then blew it out and sprayed air freshener many times I was able to start loaded, but the smells in the cab and cargo area persisted. I did notify management as soon as I observed the back of the van and upon return I did receive a slight discount, although initially that was not the owners first choice.Lolyd L.

Ordered furniture pads, utility dolly, and furniture dolly but were not in uhaul when I picked it up. Had to return to location but they only had utility dolly. The clerk was friendly but seemed to have no idea what I ordered.Corey C.

When talking to dispatch, we were supposed to be able to pick up the uhaul truck at 8am and confirmed twice with the rep that it would be open at 8am. We sat in the parking lot until 9am when the store actually opened. The phone line to call, etc, was busy for up to 20 minutes when I called from the parking lot to try and determine how to pick the truck up. I then was transferred from one agent to another and sat on hold for another 20 minutes. Very poor communication and ability to speak with an agent.Charles C.

Unfortunately our experience yesterday was brutal from start to finish. Our pick up originally was booked for 11 am at the 24/7 location south east Edmonton. There was no truck available when we arrived. The associate told us that we need to go to the other side of the city (north west) to pick up a truck as that was the only one available. We got on the phone with a representative from Uhaul that ensured us we would get a $50 credit and 50 free kilometres for our trouble. When we arrived at the north location the associate had no idea how to process our contract. We were there for close to 2 hours as she had trouble with understanding English and proceeded to charge us full price. We were on the phone with a rep by the name of John who then transferred us to another rep to discuss our charges. The associate was confused, flustered and at 2 points directed her computer screen to us so we could help her complete the transaction. As we had to get back to the other side of town to do a move I signed off on a contract as she didn't know how to fix it. We were blown away at the lack of professionalism and lack of knowledge she had to complete what should have been a simple 10 minuite transaction. When we returned the truck that evening(to the north side) the new associate said he was charging an additional $200 for mileage. Come Monday morning I will be calling Uhaul as I have no idea what kind of charges will be on my visa. This was a total nightmare experience from beginning to end. Theresa CrawleyTheresa C.

Hello, the representative that dealt with this service was horrid. I arrived early to pick up the truck and left 30mins later, I arrived early to drop off the truck and waited nearly 30 minutes to be told I would receive a call. I was called three different times and each time I was put on hold or hung up on by the representative. I was overcharged for a dolly and pads that I never received the truck was entirely empty and the representative was the one who took these items off and I was informed I would not be charged for them. My request was to pick up a van in my city, Ft Saskatchewan AB. The original request went through and I was told this would be the pick up and delivery location. When I checked in on the website, the location was changed to another city location 40 Km away. I had to pay extra for 80 Km travel just to pick up and deliver the van. When I arrived, the person running the convenience store had very little idea what they were doing. They also had to stop every few minutes to wait on convenience store customers. The whole system is pretty much a failure to me and I will be trying to avoid ever using U-Haul again.Lynd F.
Some of the attendants down not know what they're doing. . The first day I went to book for reservation, I could not be help and was blamed on Uhaul system. After getting it done the second day, I had a confirmation but the day I went for the vehicle, it took the lady extra 40 mins before I could get the vehicle and I was late for what I needed it for.
