Reservation 7 days before. Check in done online. At original Uhaul location, after 40 minutes in line - I was informed the van is NOT available. WOW. After another hour - I was informed the van is at different location , further north. Had to take Uber. Drive took 40 minutes. My move was made almost impossible since by access to fraight elevator was times and already expired when I finally arrived at the complex. Very poor experience with Uhaul.Gustaw W.
I was very impressed with the service and attention I was given. The young lady that helped me explained everything to me. When I asked questions she was explained everything to me and showed me how to use the app to speed up the rental process. Thanks for great service. The truck I was originally supposed to pick up was not available. I ended up getting a random truck on a lot that was not inspected, and I later discovered that there were two giant fridges soaked in beer in the back of the truck. I called uhaul support and they told me to just unload the fridges into the dumpsters near my apartment and I laster ended up getting an illegal dumping fee. Such a headache and would not have this service again.Jason L.

I arrived at the location at the time specified in the email and they didn't know I was coming. I had to wait 20 minutes for a UHaul specialist to arrive at work. She arrived and was very pleasant (the only good thing about the entire experience at the pickup location). She instructed one of the employees at the used tires business to obtain a truck of the size I had requested. They stated they didn't have a truck of my size (interestingly there were at least two trucks of the size I paid for that were sitting along the road with rear wheels missing AND more interestingly, this location is a "Used Tires" business). I waited another 10 minutes while someone drove around the side streets looking for a truck I could use. They eventually found a truck in the size I had requested. The truck had an empty tank of gas. There is a gas station across the street that is super sketchy and I felt extremely uncomfortable filling the tank there. Anyway, before I left the dealership, I asked to do a walkaround the vehicle to check for damge because there were some obvious problems with the vehicle including spray painted damage on the sides, gashes in the side panels, a dirty cab and the wheels were plastered in mud but the man who I was now dealing with stated "we don't do walk-arounds anymore, UHaul doesn't require them". I had also paid for 10 blankets, one mattress cover and dolley. The dolley was covered in oil and I had to request they clean it for me. They only provided me with 9 blankets and I asked them to make a note that they had not provided me the full 10 but the man stated, "nobody counts them so you'll be fine if you return it with 9". I requested the 10th blanket and they provided me the large blanket they had used to clean the dolley. It was disgusting. Next they did not have mattress covers and stated I'd have to collect one from my drop off location! I took the vehicle and it started listing as I was driving. I stopped and said to them the vehicle is listing to the side, there's something wrong with it and the man angrily stated "it's probably the way you're driving it, you'll be fine after 10 miles". I wasn't buying it but I had no choice but to leave because the movers had already arrived at my apartment 30 minutes earlier (I had scheduled the pickup for 30 minutes before the movers arrived but I ended up being stuck at this location for a long time, then I had to fill up with gas). Once the movers started loading the van it became very obvious very quickly that there were major structural problems with the vehicle's wheels. The truck started to list heavily to the right side. I asked the moving men to look at the vehicle with me since they have more experience than me with UHaul trucks and such and we discovered that the back right wheel was competely worn down, so much so that you could insert your entire hand AND arm inside the wheel. On further inspection of the wheels it transpired that the front two wheels were in relatively good condiDavid B.

The location and employees at the HIM Classic Touch location were excellent. However, I was initially told to go to a different location when reserving the vehicle via telephone and in the reservation email. When I arrived at the initial location, I was told I was notified of the change via phone call. My phone records show no call was placed and no email was sent notifying me of the change. I then had to pay for a ride to the HIM Classic Location, as the employees at the location on 13th Street in Philadelphia did not offer any assistance or reason for the change. This was extremely inconvenient as I planned my move and pickups around the initial location.Eli B.

Horrible I had to wait to pick up my U-Haul because the employee wasn't there. Then when he come back he was running his mouth on the phone and after five minutes talking on the phone and not helping customers he told whoever he was talking to that he had to go because he needed to service us. Then he didn't know how to complete a one-way U-Haul sale so he kept saying it was an error with the pick up location I told him it was an error I had to choose the pick up spot closest to where I'm moving and I have him the drop off location address then he finally got it after five minutes trying to figure out what to do. He was very unprofessional and he had slippers on his feet ugh NEVER AGAIN!!! I also paid in advance so it should have been easy peasy. I'm contacting corporate!LaTanya W.

The pick-up location was 1.5 hrs away because of traffic and was in a hell hole in Philadelphia. When notified of the pick up location, I replied asking for a closer and safer location. There are at least 20 U Haul sites closer to my work and the one around the corner had the size trailer that I needed available. My concerns and request fell on deaf ears. I received no response.... The person at the location should be aware of procedures, rates, and all other aspects of the rental. I was quoted one price and upon returning my rental was charged another. The return location was incorrect and i didn't see it on my contract. If not for the help of April in Apopka, i would not have been able to return the trailer.MARISA M.

They told me with almost no explination that I couldn't have the truck I reserved and sent me off to another location just to call a half hour later to tell me I could come get the truck. The whome experience with them was unprofessional and just horrible. They wrecked the uhaul into a customer's car when i returned the uhaul and then charged me for an extra day even though i returned the uhaul an entire day early.Abby H.
Upon returning the U-Haul truck, the staff member was not easy to find and then when he did come and inspect the truck, he took the keys and said, you are all set without giving me a receipt or checking on the mileage or gas gauge. Then, when I insisted on getting a receipt we went inside and he proceeded to try and print and the printer paper was absent. Then finally, after 30 minutes he printed out my receipt and I got an email confirmation. There was no tact to our interaction and he had to be prompted multiple times to give me confirmation that I was checked out.Michael A.
Well i picked a location on 13/Sp Garden and a day before they rerouted me to the worst neighborhood in Philly. I show up to a dirty old shop where like 4-5 men are staring at me as I get out of my car. it took 45 minutes to get in/out and get the right truck, it was a disorganized mess. One of them is eating Burger King and talking with food in his mouth to me in the waiting area. The other one took my DL, never it gave it back and never called me to alert me that it was there. When I showed up to get it, they couldn't find it because they didn't lock it up anywhere safe. I finally got it but absolutely wouldn't go there again.Robin S.

Pickup at this location was honestly one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. The location was suspect, the attendant was wearing a ski mask where I could only see his eyes, and the computer system did not work. When the computer didn't work, after 15 minutes of trying, I was told "what do you want me to do about it". When I asked him to hop on the phone with uhaul to lookup my reservation, he resisted and said it was "my problem." We then went outside where I insisted he hop on the phone, and he lit a cigarette. I had to call customer service myself to verify my reservation. I would not recommend this location to anyone, and Uhaul should distance themselves from this establishment.Riley O.

The man at the dropoff location said I owed $1.99 for overage miles. I paid him $2 cash and he still charged my credit card $1.99!!! There is a guy walking around with a lap top checking in rentals, no ID , no uniform. No phone number to call with difficulty in rental return. Added mileage was a result of incorrect information at time of rental AND the lack of any customer service contact at 6pm. I called THREE numbers and was unable to get anyone on the phone. I asked several times about drop off location and was told "Drop off at closest location. For your destination that would be 13th and Vine". I went to where the clerk indicated. They would not accept at 13th and Vine. That location directed me to Spring Garden street location. Plenty of room to leave the truck there but online rental said the truck needed to go to a different location (HIM Classic). No one answered any phones anywhere (it was 6pm). A large corporation like this should have customer service line available.Anthony D.

The experience was completely unprofessional. I made arrangements prior to picking up the vehicle with the person on the phone and they were not available when they said they would . When they were available they were living in a van in a parking lot. The individual had just woken up and his friend was yelling at him and accusing him of being "high." He handed me the keys and there was no contract, offer for insurance or liability. The experience was completely unprofessional and quite frankly expected a discount. When I attempted to contact the regional manager and customer service, they were not helpful at all. I would not recommend U-haul to anyone.dan M.
