The guy working didn't know anything about uhaul, didn't know the process, and wouldn't give us the keys. The equipment was stored away in a shed behind the Irving and we had to rummage through all of the junk in there to try to find the furniture pads we ordered. They also didn't have the utility dolly that we ordered.John M.
Get rid of this location. The staff were not wearing masks, they had no idea what they were doing, the truck was filthy, still dirty from previous renters. Truck was NOT sanitized. Came with BARELY 1/4tank of gas. Very disappointed in this rental experienceRobert S.

There was a major disconnect. The pick up process took an hour as the agent didn't know what was happening. He was pleasant and willing but totally uninformed, needing to access Head Office for even the basics. It was the â€˜blind leading the blind' - a frustrating experience despite his best intentions and positive outlook.David H.

As stated in previous feedback that was submitted the person that was working at the time didn't know what she was doing and couldn't get the booking completely. Kept asking questions about stuff that was already filled in in the online booking info. She took my drivers license and put in the Information and still had to get me to do the online check in process which I didn't have internet access and my phone and had to use my fiancÃ©'s. She also kept complaining about the system and the amount of information it was asking for. She had to actually call uhaul customer service to find out how to get it to go through as she could get past the one page. We were there for an hour just to pick up the trailer which made us late to pick up our vehicle. Then the next day when we dropped the vehicle off I did the online drop off check and uploaded the pictures and selected the option to get my refund inside. Went and and the same lady was there and she couldn't find the drop off Information in the system and told me to come back later when someone else was there to help. I have still yet to get my refund as the location is 45-60 min drive from where I live, and haven't been able to go back due to a busy schedule.Jessica D.

The key problem was that the rental was not processed before arrival. The staff person was alone serving gas station customers during the lengthy process of entering the U-Haul contract information and he had difficulty doing so with repeated interruptions. It took almost 40 minutes.andrea M.

My customer experience was terrible based solely on actions undertaken by UHual. After being unable to reserve through my phone, I called uhual and made the reservation over the phone. This process was easy however the reservation was not booked correctly causing my rental price for a few hour rental to skyrocket into the hundreds of dollars. The reservation was suppose to be for a round trip but was booked, unbeknownst to me, as a one way. To make matters worse it was pointed out to me by the service station that uhual had added an issurance charge unilateraly - without the consent of the customer this action is extremely unethical. The question I'm left with is if it is worth the aggravation of trying to be reinsubursed for this charge. I have rented from uhual in the past and hold your company in low regard based on the aggregate of my experiences.CASTER S.

This location is a gas station, there is one attendant for the entire store and they are busy with gas and convenience customers. Though the young man did a good job handling my order and making sure the line of customers wasn't too long he felt rushed and unprepared to complete both tasks efficiently.Aaron H.

Well...for starters we were told a couple of times we couldn't have the truck. because the owner told the employee that the truck was broken, which it turned out not to be. Took us at least an hour to get the truck. Employee was very nice but store was busy and she had to take care of customers and try to find out about our reservation. We had to call Uhaul a couple of times. Once was to find out about condition of truck and then to go thru financial arrangements, again. And the truck was half empty.REBECCA D.

I had to hook the trailer up by myself.Then when i got to where i was picking up my car there was a flat tire on the trailer. Didn't notice it when i took the trailer.then i put air in it and drove to Windmill Road Dartmouth where they had to put two new tires on the trailer. Very good service there.joseph D.

Was unable to contact this location with several attempts to both phone numbers..their advertised u-haul number and their Irving Convenience number. After several attempts I contacted the next closest location in Chester, who rather than have me use unnecessary kms by renting from their location, provided me with a toll free number to book a truck.Sharon M.

Staff are awesome. They don't do a huge rental business and also handle gas sales, so be prepared to wait a while, but they're great to work with. I'll definitely be using this location again whenever I need something that they have available.JEFF W.
The Go u-haul telephone number was a frustrating experience as we had lost a key and had to get another one cut. The Go U-haul # is based in Arizona and we could not get them to understand what we needed. Took over two frustrating hours on the phone with Go U-haul and roadside assistance until we finally got the local Dartmouth office and Noni(?) and Bill provided excellent Customer service, We are able to be understood and were able to have our problems resolved within a few minutes of reaching this local number. I had ordered a trolley and 12 blankets but (on line) did not receive any of it. The truck was bigger than I booked which caused me a lot of problems as the driveway I had to back it into is very long and the snow made it difficult. Couldn't pull right up to the house to load. I booked a truck same day for pick up that evening. When we arrived to pick up our rental they told us we couldn't have it because someone put notes on the file that pick up wasn't until the next day at 7am and they couldn't help us. My email specifically showed Oct 26 @ 7pm. When I called the customer service number the girl on the phone immediately called the pick up location to fix the problem. Then we were driving and noticed the ABS light was on and the brakes were acting funny. So we called roadside assistance, they offered to come take a look but if we felt safe, to drive it back to uhaul. I've used different UHAUL locations in the past and have had small issues. Sometimes it seems as though they aren't willing to help unless they have to. The phone service, however, was amazing.EMILY M.
Staff not well informed about rental particulars. Misquoted fee amount and failed to inform me of extra costs, although asked when unit was booked. Staff did not know where I could locate a drop off location. Staff distracted by other aspects of their business... this caused delays. It would have been helpful if the unit (a tow dolly for an automobile) had some kind of winch or ratchet... I had to get one from another location.GREG B.

I originally booked in Hubbards and was re-directed to Chester. When I arrived in Chester they knew nothing about my reservation and did not have a truck for me. I had to wait and then was again re-directed to Hubbards. Very dis-organized and cost me time and money!ROSS M.

Remind customers the gas tanks on the larger units are large so although it may appear to be just below the half mark, in fact this could represent a significant usage. It would be helpful to have a milage to kilometers conversion card in instance where US vehicles are rented. The service was good at this location by both thoses who rented and the employee who received the vehicle back.ARTHUR M.
their software is not user friendly at all. We got a 20% discount because previous service was so bad, and this time was worse. It took over an hour to finish transaction. This is not entirely the operators fault because you are aware of the shitty program they are using and appearently don't really give a shit. This is the last time we will be using you. Staff at the service station should be better trained to answer questions about uhaul services. Other than that they were really friendly. They just kind if gave you that feeling that they didn't quite fully know what they were doing. But they got the job done.KEVIN B.
