I had some frustrations with the 24/7 process on the pick up end, but Kyle (in Phoenix) was very helpful. It was the young woman in NC that i spoke to the following day who was extremely helpful resolving my problem (wrong location drop off). Unfortunately, I don’t know her name.

I dropped off on Saturday and see my charge per my contract 171.94 plus an additional charge of 48.33 are showing up at my bank. What is the additional charge for. U-Haul Contract 24086078. The initial hold amount has been released but not the additional charge. I tried contacting via chat. The message that initially came back was: "Your message has been sent, someone will be with you shortly." 12 minutes later and nothing else. This is unsatisfactory. At the very least there should be messages giving an approximate wait time. Most of us use online chat as a quick and easy way to make contact. Most online chats I deal with give an estimated wait time. Your chat needs to fixed. I finally got a reply after 15 minutes.

Furniture pads were not included with the rental when we picked up the truck. We did a 7:30 am pick up with cell phone. The facility didn't open until 9:00am. When reserving a truck with moving pads the truck needs to have all items available inside the truck. This delayed our move and caused us to pay more to our movers.

The U-Haul truck leaked so badly that everything I had in cardboard boxes that touched the floor of the over cab area and touched the floor in the whole back area ...... everything was sopping wet when I opened the truck to unload it. The cardboard boxes acted like a wick, sucking up the inch or so of water that ran all over the floor. Important papers and photos were ruined. I cried and was depressed for days. .... My debit card was still charged my rental and mileage fees. .... No, I won't use U-Haul again unless they make some effort to show they care, like a full refund and I have some assurance in writing that they fixed that U-Haul leak and that they didn't rent it to some other unsuspecting customer in that defective condition. However the store staff were wonderful. They were not told of the leak in advance.

i was mislead i was told that i could pick it up on saturday and i would not have to turn it in until tuesday however when i review the paper work it stated i had to turn in the truck on monday they closed at 3 on saturday so i had to pu at 100 they were closed on sunday so i could not pu on sunday and they did not open until 900 on monday

I was told the truck was full of fuel. Of course I wanted to return it full but when I got done filling up the gas tank it was over $20.00. This means that the truck was not actually full because I only drove it 30 miles. That equates to almost $.70 a mile for gas after pay a $.99 per mile = $1.69 per mile. Some of my blankets/clothes smelled like smoke from being in the back of the truck. Neither I nor any of the people that helped me smoke. So it either came from a previous costumer or worker. It would be nice if people were not allowed to smoke in the truck. Other than that, no complaints

The frontt desk associate on Saturday was awful it took over an hour to get contract completed. Richard the Manager hooked up the trailer to my pickup which came loose and fell of the hitch 4 miles down the road a major issue which could have caused a serious auto accident. This by far was the worst experience I have ever had.
