Make sure you see Gerald, this location is the absolute best customer service I have received anywhere lately. Gerald is why renting from him and his availability made this the best rental ever. Called him based on location, needed a 15' truck on a Sunday right away he told me to come in and he would take care of everything to include setting up the reservation.

Mr. Gerald Wren was an excellent customer service person for U-Haul. He explained everything throughly and was very knowledgable about the truck. He made it extremely easy yo rent and return the U-Haul truck. I would definitely recommend to anyone need a moving truck and moving supplies.

The man who runs this establishment is very nice. He would benefit by hiring additional staff to assist him with completing transactions more quickly. Other than this, I was very pleased with my experience with the business and with the staff.

The man who runs it was not there when i arrived to pick up my uhaul and i had to wait about 30 minutes for him to show up and figure out how to use his computer. Just go to a different uhaul location, even if its further away becuase you will be stuck waiting for the worker to show up at this one.

The larger trucks were parked in a difficult spot to get them out of the parking lot. The guy was nice and helpful, but it was logistically difficult.

Very ghetto location had no other workers and the inside was a complete mess. He kept trying to charge an force a bigger truck on me when I told him what I wanted and needed to begin with. Werid experience. Def not going back there again.

Disappointing UHaul experience, overall. I was directed to this location AFTER first going to the location on my reservation, only to be told that they did not have a truck for me as promised. I had to make multiple phone calls to UHaul before they told me that I could get the truck they had promised me by going to this other location, which was an additional 7-8 miles away. Come on, UHaul, do better.

He incorrectly charged me for gas and mileage. Rude. Had me under the impression he was going to help me he took so long I was frustrated because he act like he didn't have the number to correct. I want to sue him and do not recommend no one to go to him if he doesn't fix it

As a customer I didn’t receive the service I believe I would’ve received if my skin was another color the older elder talk to us so rude and became impatient with us at some point I had to reach out multiple times to get someone to the office we were accused of things that had nothing to do with us getting a truck the truck came with zero no equipment which made the move even harder btw, get the final charges now suddenly we getting charged almost $89 extra and we didn’t even have a lot of drive time in the vehicle, customer service was a terrible, got no equipment, and our move was hours delayed because they took their time to get to the office when they were just there before i finished booking in the parking lot of the location in Lexington South Carolina

The guy running that location was nice but not efficient at all. He took forever to do things. He forgot to give me back my credit card while doing the transaction because they had a lot going on at this location. Therefore, with all of the interruptions and papers all over the desk we missed that I didnt get the card back until we were way down the road and had to come back.

The owner of this location was not competent. I had to tell him the same thing many times. The office was VERY dirty and nasty. I wouldn’t sit on his couches. Hard to find the actual door to even get into the office. He even mislead how much gas was in this truck and tried to con me into putting more gas in the truck for his benefit. There are several other locations I would highly recommend before this location.

This was by far the worst Uhaul experience I have ever had in my entire life. The Owner at this location is 80+ years old and far beyond retirement. He struggled with the technology required to complete this transaction (it took 40 minutes to complete a trailer rental that i had already reserved), had roaches crawling around his office (there were stacks of paper EVERYWHERE). He was EXTREMELY rude when I tried to assist him with his phone to take the picture of the trailer connected to my truck. His office resembled that of a hoarder rather than an organized business. Im going to avoid this location like the plague and definitely wouldn't torture anyone i know by sending them here.

The gentleman who runs the place was helpful and professional. My issue is with the truck. To be blunt, it is a piece of junk. The steering wheel has several degrees of play, making it difficult to keep in a lane. It felt like it had been hit and tracked a little sideways, much like an airplane will “crab” in a crosswind. Overall, I would have gone to Penske if one had been available. Unfortunately I didn’t discover the drivability issue until after were loaded and on our way to our destination. Overall, I’ll give U Haul a D- for this. The only positive is that the guy running the place is a good fellow. What can y’all do? Make sure your equipment is in top working order before issuing it. If it doesn’t measure up, remove it from service.

I have rented U-Haul many times, this was my worst experience. Always had everything all set when I plan a pick up yet I did not expect to have to log into the app site. Luckily I had a smart phone but it was still still difficult! If I knew I had to do this I would have done this at home prior to picking up the truck. I couldn’t get the key out of the lock box. Standing in the pouring rain! Thankfully the U-Haul agent still there and he did get the key out. He then went over the truck. This process to pick up took close to a hour!! Was a joke actually and I was not impressed! Last, I had less than 1/2 a tank of gas!! Now I I have to go fill the truck up!! Very upsetting!

The gentleman I met was kind and helpful. The property is fairly small for the amount of rental units located there. It was difficult to maneuver the trailer I returned. I did not go into the building but the exterior of the building looked run down and needed significant repairs, not inviting at all. There are several other U-Haul locations nearby that are much more appealing and inviting.

It took a hour to get into my uhaul that I already reservation for. Then after wasting a hour of my day and taking a personal call and staying on the line for 5 whole minutes he stated puting in info and then the power went out and he couldn't get it back working. The agent then told me to do everything from the app bc he couldn't get it to work so I had to then download the app and he calls his manger to so it over the phone when he could have did that originally. The guy waiting after me just left after he waited 25 mins too

Customer experience was horrible. Made 5:30pm trailer reservation several hours in advance. Arrived onsite and no one was there. Called the number and someone picked up saying they were 30 minutes away. They arrived an hour later and were slow to process my rental. I didn’t get back on the road for over 2 hours after my initial reservation time. Horrible experience.

The truck was covered inside with animal hair, the windshield was so dirty it needed cleaned twice inside and was still dirty..

The man was very slow and I had already did everything on line. He proceeded to try to give me paper copys that was too drack in color. The trailer was not properly inspected and we had to rehook a different trailer. Again very time consuming and slow. Was not original booking from online. Was over 30mins away from Columbia.

We spent hours just trying to rent the equipment we already rented via the app/internet. The app and the internet access to rentals is terrible. The only way to get a decent deal is to call them and pray they answer the phone.
