Get people better train, on how to rent out trailers !....On return man showed up late, look like he had a hang over !...Not to friendly !

The gentleman who "checked me in" was playing his loud music on his phone during my entire visit to the cellular phone store / part time U-haul dealership. It was a distraction but manageable. Disturbingly had an odor of alcohol on his breath and something I'd call a blood blister inside the bend of the elbow. This is a common injury from illicit drug use but I did not witness any of that activity. He did not connect my trailer properly to my vehicle. The hand-wheel was not turned down enough so that the coupler was not fully engaged. The safety chains were wrapped to only one side. If I hit a big bump, the entire trailer would have come uncoupled. I re-did it after he left. He gave me no instructions on the trailer (commonly done at other U-haul locations). This entire event was a disaster waiting to happen.

Make sure that employees know the rental process and the rental contract should be closed when the Uhaul is returned, not days later.

James was my sales person & he was Awful. I have used uhaul service several time as recent as 2 months ago. I have never had an experience like this. Very poor customer service! James didn’t explain anything to me, didn’t do an truck inspection Nothing except ask for my money. When I call the next day for my refund he told me I still owed $23. I knew that was true. I asked him to email me a copy of the invoice & he said he couldn’t I had to come to the store to get it. I had to call the Area Supervisor. He checked the truck in emailed me a receipt & told me I had a refund of $37.99. James is not a good representative for uhaul if this is how he treats your customer.

My turn in time was 4:45 pm 6/23/18 turned in trailer at 5:09pm and was charged for 3 days. Counter person said he was unsure about why the higher charge and I would need to contact UHaul. Waited on the phone for 16 minutes with no response. Hopefully someone will respond to this comment so the additional charges can be explained

U-Haul trucks should be in the front so you can see them from the road

When we arrived the person was very slow, didn't listen to what we had to say. The uhaul would not start, instead of waiting for who knows how long to jump start it we jump started the uhaul. We had to hook up our own tow dolly, the guy seemed spaced out, he did come outside and said we hooked it up wrong and corrected it. He should have gone over truck issues with us but he didn't. The little mirror on passenger side was broken when we picked it up. Once we got it to location the uahaul would not start again, had to call Roadside Assistance. They came and changed out the battery quickly. (very nice and friendly). After loading uhaul the oil light came on, had to call Roadside assistance again, the uhaul was 5 quarts low on OIL . the same person came that changed the battery, went and checked everything else to make sure we didn't have any other problems traveling. We have never had any issues with uhaul before but this put a lot of stress on us, being delayed in leaving when we wanted to. Roadside assistance could not find anyone to replace the mirror before we traveled it was Christmas weekend. This was the worst experience ever. This person shouldn't be running a uhaul service if he can't serve his patrons in a timely manner . He was very proficient in the wireless phone service he was running in between us. Maybe you could consider a reimbursement of some kind for the troubles we encountered? Thank you, sincerely Keith Gibson.
