Victor DI have rented UHaul trucks from this location for years and absolutely adore the gentleman that owns the place. This last truck that I rented is in need of serious maintenance and a deep cleaning. I could not adjust the driver seat unless I was out of the vehicle facing the seat and using one hand to lift the lever and one hand to slide the seat forward, which took a few adjustments. I tried to clean the steering wheel with my wipes, as touching it gave me all sorts of horrible, nasty feelings and I didn't want to think about the disgusting people who made it that way. After using 5 wipes, the color was a little less black than when I started and I decided to use my work gloves rather than touch it with my bare hands again. I cleaned the area where I was going to place my drink bottle and phone, but I did not clean the rest of the truck which had something spilled in the remaining console area and down the driver door. As per my usual habits, I took pictures of the inside and outside of the truck prior to leaving the lot and after returning the truck to the lot. The steering wheel itself looked to be rough and decaying/pitted on the top. The steering was severely sloppy and numerous times I was struggling to stay in my own lane. The faster the speed, the worse the play. I took all backroads and I maintained approximately 45 mph at most, until I finally decided to enter the freeway halfway to my home in Tonopah, AZ from Glendale, AZ. I definitely had a workout keeping the vehicle in my lane and didn't exceed 60 mph in a 75 mph zone. It reminded me of when the steering gear box went out in my old '74 F250. The A/C did not blow really cold and the fan speed control on full was barely blowing. I could not advise the owner of the issues upon return, as he was closed on Sunday. What should have taken around 2 hours of driving turned into over 3 hours driving and I was extremely disappointed with this rental experience.

Art II had needed to go back to Yuma with the truck because everything would not fit in 1 trip, when I called the 800 number for U haul to extend my reservation, I explained this to the person on the phone, what I didn’t find out until dropping off the truck was that they were charging me for the mileage

gabriela mWe dropped off the vehicle when the office was closed. My biggest complaint about U-Haul is the lack of pricing transparency and the numerous additional fees. It is nearly impossible to accurately budget or compare prices because the final cost is not disclosed until the charge is processed. For example, every email I received indicated that the rental would cost approximately $75. However, when I picked up the vehicle, the actual charge was $103—an increase of nearly 40% over the advertised estimate.
