Life can be hectic specially before a move. As we planned our move across the country, we booked a trailer a month in advance. When it was time to load and start our journey, U-Haul corporate office majorly let us down. They’d done the very same thing the year before when we moved out west. There was not a single 6x12 trailer anywhere near where we lived. They wouldn’t drive it in to a closer location, so we had to drive 2.5 hours to get a trailer because there wasn’t any in Red Deer or anywhere near. That cost a pretty penny for gas with our 1/2 ton truck. The team at JWR Trucking/U-Haul outlet was amazing and we can’t thank them enough for their help. This team is awesome and will go the extra mile to help in any way they can. Booking on the phone or online is pointless because corporate has very poor communication skills with the outlets, which results in confusion and frustration for the customers. If you need anything from U-Haul, don’t book online or call their centre. Go into your local outlet. They can help you so much better and faster and give you a much better guarantee. Ernest GI did find the inside of the trailer to be a tad bit dirty... and there was one marker light out but the guy fixed it right away before I left.

Gordon OUhaul needs to put the correct tires on the items being rented. All four tires were bad on the car carrier we rented, and one of the tires wasn't even a trailer tire, it was a regular car tire. The entire situation was very scary and unsafe. The customer service was helpful to correct the situation, and the man that came to change the four tires was also kind and helpful, but I'm not sure I'll rent another Uhaul again, It was very unsafe, and ended up losing a half a day driving to get the repairs done. I did inform customer service and their response was extremely lackluster considering the gravity of the situation, and no one seemed surprised that all four tires were bad and had to be replaced,which is alarming to me. Was also unable to get the free month storage rental because they didn't have a unit big enough, and that was one of the reasons I chose to rent the Uhaul for a one way trip. I really feel like there should have been some kind of compensation for this and all I got was the statement, "oh," and at my insistence they agreed to my dropping off the Uhaul at 4pm, instead of 10am.

BYRON GI dropped the trailer off yesterday no one even looked at it He just said park it then today I had a phone call telling me I had to drop trailer by two pm
rick uI ordered a u-haul in Hanna, Ab and had to drive over an hour to get one. Hanna, Castor and Veteran Locations are full of great local people. The lady from some strange number called demanding the uhaul back the next day. I spent at least $90.00 on fuel for my vehicle to get to and from Veteran plus $66.00 for u-haul so that it was at 5/8 when I returned plus kilometers from Veteran. I booked a u-haul over a month ago, a 26 foot truck and they gave me a 17 foot truck. I do not think it is fair to book something and not have anything available. This is not the fault of the local people, but overbookings on u-hauls. In total I used this u-haul for two days locally in hanna, where I picked it up and ended up spendind 183.75 {days rental plus km from veteran to hanna), 66.00 for u-haul and appromiately $90.00 in fuel for my yukon with 2 young children and my father. it was very inconvient for us and cost us $330 dollars for a move that should have cost under a hundred in my mind. we live 2 km from town total mileage would have been maybe 15km, bc we had to do 3 or 4 trips to get everything moved. I am very thankful for the grwat locals, but u-haul owes me money in my mind. Thank-you!
JENNIS EI will never recommend uhaul to anyone monterey park storage ruined it for me and anyone I tell this story to that location should be investigated by w5 on cbc
