The location in Nanaimo was very clean, the office itself was tidy and incredibly well looked after inside. The location is well run, organized and the staff member who helped us was extremely knowledgeable about the car trailer. I would highly recommend this location.
CIARAN AThe locations have been fine. U-Haul is bad. I rented one at the end of March. I had a confirmed reservation with a reservation number. I was canceled by text the night before. No alternative offered. Big job the next day. I managed to find a smaller one with the help of super mart the location. Today I also had a confirmed reservation. On arriving at the location they said they had no trucks. They helped me find another truck which was not nearby. In the meantime we were in a time crunch. That made it more stressful. I read online after the first rental that if your truck was not available you would give us 50$. On enquiring about that U-Haul said. Oh that doesn’t apply. I believe you owe me 100$ plus the extra mileage that we racked up picking up the truck and dropping it off.
Darlene SAnnika at this U-Haul location was incredibly helpful, friendly and efficient. The process of picking up the U-Haul using the app during closed hours worked very well. Prices are reasonable and I would highly recommend this location and service.

Ellis WHad to pay $200 more for a ferry since you didnt have the orginal uhaul we wanted. Also had to travel much further to pick up the uhaul, which cut into our moving time, and more gas. Not happy about that at all. Not going to use uhaul ever again and will be expressing it on my social media platform

steve pTraining ! The person working didn't know how to hook a trailer up properly , everything from hooking up safety chains to making sure trailer is properly sitting on ball of truck . Trailer tire was bald , had a flat tire almost immediately !

The equipment was clean, they kept the reservation as close to my requested time as possible despite uhaul head office arbitrarily changing it and I was billed what was promised. Special shout out to Annika who went above and beyond. Your extra support made an otherwise stressful move manageable. Gratitude
Shavinesh PThe business failed to open during their advertised hours, leaving me waiting in the cold rain as they arrived late due to conflicts at home with their children. They rushed down the pothole-ridden road with kids in tow and seemed baffled as to why I hadn’t entered; the door was locked, and no lights illuminated the interior. Our conversation about the truck rental took place amidst the chaos of their child screaming at the top of their lungs, a level of noise so intense that I had to cover my ears. To complicate matters further, the area is a dead zone for cell reception. There was no posted phone number for inquiries, and I couldn’t log into the truck rental app. This entire experience was not only frustrating but also a significant inconvenience. The U-Haul company has a major issue with its policies that discriminate against people who cannot drive due to vision loss. I am moving and had a registered driver with me, yet they refused to allow me to pay for the equipment I needed to move my things and accept my driver’s ID. They claimed they were doing me a favor by overlooking my inability to drive due to blindness and accepting my driver's ID. While my ears were still ringing from the screaming children, I was met with ableism masquerading as kindness.
