Cancelled my existing appointment without checking in with me. Gave me another truck when I got there and charged me for the bigger size, without the dolly I ordered either. Essentially cancelled my appointment and gave my equipment away to please another customer that came by. Also saw one of the employees back up the van into another truck (on his first day) while sorting out the bookings.

Matt LThe dealer was unable to provide the truck at the reserved pickup time. We have already waited 30 minutes, and I overheard another customer saying they had been waiting for over an hour. I find the $50 Reservation Guarantee unfair to customers. When customers make reservations in advance, we often arrange movers, elevator bookings, time off work, and other logistics based on the confirmed pickup time. In reality, most customers feel compelled to keep waiting rather than accept the $50 compensation and cancel their plans. The inconvenience and additional costs caused by a delayed vehicle can easily exceed $50. I believe the current guarantee does not adequately compensate customers for the disruption caused when a reserved vehicle is not available as promised.
Shuk YWe arrived late night after a tiresome day and wanted to dropp off but the employee in uhaul told us to drop the car somewhere else and he does not have a place to park so we had to drive another location far away from the first one and got charged extra miles and had to pay more gas and extra mileage. This is not acceptable and no one offered us anything becasue of these inconveniences.

Dave JI ordered moving blankets through the app. Thought it was guaranteed so I did not bring anything of my own. Turns out they had none. I said I don't want a truck without anything to protect the furniture. So they called a few uhauls and said there was one that had 2 dozen blankets. I drive there with the rented truck and they only had 2 blankets. I spent 30 minutes calling every uhaul that was open and none of them had any supplies. So I had to drive the truck to a Walmart and spend $100+ on supplies. Lots of extra time and money and unnecessary milage that i got charged for. Terrible experience.

Javier EService was great (a staff came out to bring the truck while I was checking in online. And provided instructions for parking after returning. A couple issues with the truck though. 1. driver side visor does not hook in place. It flops down obscurring vision. If I place it to the side, it swings and hits my head. 2. The lift door gets stuck near the top.

Hamidreza SThe truck was a little sketchy, but I believe it was being rushed back to the states because its Ontario registration sticker expired in April and it was overdue for maintenance. The actual rental facility was clean and comfortable, had lovely art on the walls, and was run by a very friendly gentleman.
Patrick MAfter I received the invoice, I saw that U-Haul charged me $60.66 even though I only drove the truck for about 3 miles. The fuel charge for such a short distance should be much lower. I was also charged $16 for insurance coverage that I did not request or agree to. Please remove this charge and review the invoice.

Javier EWould have been nice to have the dolly and blankets specified in the truck itself instead of me loading them but I'm unclear on what the actual process is. All else was good. I arrived there just after 8am when the store opened and there were already close to 4 people in line. With only a single staff member present, it would have been nice if he would have had some help but I do not know what the staffing levels typically are at this location.

rob nEven after booking of 2 Dolly alongwith the 15' truck 15 days in advance, I didn't get it. The person at the counter told it is out of stock. This could had been informed to me 1 or 2 days in advance so that I could had made alternate arrangements. He didn't even helped getting from any alternate location.
Gagan DI am writing to raise a concern regarding an unexpected charge on my recent rental. I made a reservation through the U-Haul website last week for a 10' truck. During the online booking process, I did not select or opt in to any additional insurance coverage, including the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). However, after completing my rental and reviewing the final contract and charges, I noticed that a CDW fee of $16.00 (before tax) was added to my bill without my consent. For your reference: • Contract Number: 23431968 • Rental Date: April 11, 2026 • Pickup Location: LAVIN CAR RENTAL, North York Since I did not authorize or select this coverage at any point during the booking or pickup process, I kindly request a full refund of this $18.08 (tax included) charge. Gary QThe truck was not filled with gas, so it was hard to know how much gas to leave in the truck. There appears to have been an extra gas charge that I don’t think was correct, but it just enough that I don’t care to bother disputing the charge. It seemed dishonest and even if that was not the intention that’s how it came across.
