Our experience was fairly good no incidents. Either the gas was not filled up all the way on pickup and we did not notice the gage when we picked it up but it was half empty when we went to fill it. Almost $80 to fill. We only drove around 24 miles. Also when we did online pictures on the self inspection it did not have an area on the passenger side that should have been marked as scratched. . We took pictures then tried to submit but it would not let us submit them. Otherwise we were satisfied.sharon E.

The lady at the counter has no bedside manners. She kept telling me I would have to cancel my reservation because she was confusing me with someone else with a similar name. Their internet drops frequently. And I got the truck with about a quarter tank of gas. I doubt the lady even checked the fuel level when the previous guy dropped it off.Luke A.

Super unhelpful. Absolutely ruined my loading day experience. I have always been taken care of at U-Haul centers but this was awful. I checked in, paid and was then told I had to hook up myself (a single mom with a 2-year old with me, I've never hooked up my own trailer at a U-haul in the many times I've used them, or been told it would be an extra charge). The lady didn't even walk me out to the trailers, she just opened the gate and told me to go back and hook up. Luckily I knew which trailer was mine because there was only one on the property of the size that I had ordered. However, it was smashed between other trailers so I couldn't even get my car anywhere near the trailer to hook it up. Since it is a small trailer, I literally had to go and pick it up with my bare hands and walk it a good 15 to 20 yards away to my vehicle. Again, as a single mom with a two year old with me. As I'm getting it hooked up to my car the lady finally comes out and just tells me â€œdo it again, do it againâ€ and says â€œI will help you.â€ But then immediately proceeds to tell me â€œdo it again, I cannot do it, you do it.â€ Then I receive a text message on my phone with a link to evaluate the condition of the equipment but when I follow it receive a message that the link has expired. The lady had gone in and said it so that I could not report the condition of the equipment. I will never again go to a small neighborhood U-Haul dealer and I hope this review helps you to avoid this particular location. Every other time I have visited the large U-Haul centers they have given me exceptional service and always taking care of me. Shame on this place.LIBERTY L.

The vehicle was not ready for pickup at the assigned time. It's unclear if it was given to a different customer, or if was never available and was actually inbound as a return from another customer. In any case, when I spoke to the attendant regarding the situation, she was rude and actually refused to talk, stating that she was too busy. When the vehicle, or similar vehicle, finally arrived, it was 2 and a half hours late, not clean, and not with a full tank. The clerk offered to apply a discount to the rental, but later did no such thing. In summary, the location is understaffed, without accurate inventory, and did not follow through on made promises.Daniel A.

We discussed our Wednesday 7/30 pickup in two different mediums with the Bountiful location, and were told it was ready verbally and via text confirmation. This was after a woman from the Bountiful location had personally called me on the morning of 6/29 to tell me there were no trailers of that type at that location and that she would need to look into it further. She promised to work on it and call me back. She did not call me back. The callback number she provided was a general callback number. When we showed up to pick up the trailer in Bountiful, we were told there wasn't one. And proceeded to spend another two hours tracking down the next closest location that had one. The woman who helped me schedule the truck we rented the last two (2) times we have rented a truck was so helpful. She was so positive & came through with a truck both times...when U-haul reps on-line were very negative about the possibility of even getting a truck. She needs to be commended for her efforts in helping when no one else seems to want to help.Bruce F.
Hire someone in the office who is knowledgeable and customer friendly. The current occupant was argumentative, condescending, and didn't seem to have a good grasp of what needed to be done. The list of concerns is too long for this post. We have used UHaul 3 times in the last 10 months. The other instances were okay. This one may have been our last.JANE B.

He told me there was an extra charge to help me hook up the trailer, so I had to do it myself, which means I couldn't even verify the break lights worked. I also forgot to hook up the chains... so he was definitely not helpful.JOHN E.

I was waiting about 5 minutes cause no one was at the desk, which I could care less about. Except they had a dog in the chair just barking like crazy the entire time. But they were nice, and my truck roll up down wasn't operating probably to the point my wife could open it, it kept jamming.MICHAEL S.

The uhaul I reserved was not there I had to call uhaul and waste an hour only to have to switch to a smaller uhaul causing me extra money due to having to make more trips I've never had an issue with any other location I've used but this one was awfulMelissa H.

Everything was good the storage unit. However the price I think is a bit too high. I moved to another city and had to get another storage unit. The unit I'm now it is much bigger 24 hr access well lit and about 30 bucks cheaper. It's a business I get it but maybe you can look at giving people a break on cost.Steven P. | Overall Experience

It was a pretty well used vehicle and the inside and outside were not cluttered but still not detailed like you would think it would be for the next guest. You can start by not lending out trucks which have been known to have problems with breaking down to poor people who have no idea. Out truck broke down an hour before we got home we were left in the rain for 9 hours only to find out from the mechanic that the truck has been known to break down with the same problem you guys put us in huge danger we passed through hours and hours of desert we could have broke down there and died this whole thing has made us fear ever using uhaul again plus leaving my mom in the rain when she clearly stated she is disabled is very unprofessionalJera C.

When I arrived to pick up the trailer the location was completely locked up, this was at 4pm on a Saturday, a time this location was supposed to be open and the open sign was on. I waited for 15 min until the employee finally showed up. There should have been a note or something explaining why the location was closed.Anthony P.

The truck wouldn't go over 75 mph that was frustrating and dangerous when trying to pass on the freeway that was 75 mphREX K.
Both the person who helped me pick up my truck as well as the person I spoke to at the central uhaul office told me that I could drop off my truck in Manti Utah. However, when I looked at my paper work to get the address so I could return it, I found that I had to take it to Nephi. This was 40 minutes away. I was very frustrated by this. I don't believe it was the fault of Layton Hills Storage, instead I think your system automatically rerouted me and I wasn't made aware of this at the outset. This system needs to be updated. However, I would work with Layton Hills Storage again.Joseph E.
Promised truck at 9 am. Was waiting there at 10 minutes to 9 am. Employee came driving up to location at 2-3 minutes after 9. Rushing in to open. Hate waiting for a place to open late. When I picked up the trailer it had someone else's garbage in it, then had a tire blow out on the trailer while it was empty (thank goodness). After limping the trailer less than a mile to the location the counter person then proceeded to start Playing the blame game. I have used lots of U-Haul locations in the past and never had any issues, I won't be returning to this one.David S.

Sydney was great! But I couldn't pick up my uhaul because the combination didn't work. When I called I sat on hold for 20 min for them to tell me to just call the place in the morning. When I called again my estimated wait time was 1 min. I was on hold for 30 min. I tried to cancel my reservation due to work i couldnt pick it up the next day but because there were no notes from my first call I couldn't cancel it. This was the worst Uhaul experience. I know it doesn't seem like a lot but the stress of moving on top of working 40 hours, a year old it was extremely frustrating and inconvenient.Torrey T.

I picked up a truck less than an hour before closing and brought it back at closing the following day. They said I was 43 min late and called a manager to discuss. I overheard the manager telling the sales rep it was their call to charge another day or not. She ended up charging me for 2 days. I thought they would give me the benefit of the doubt since there was no way they could have rented the truck to someone else right before closing. Be warned not to be a minute late!
