The owner of this location was 10 minutes late opening up. I had signed up for mobile check out, and it wasn't available, so I had to go inside, and they had to re-process everything i had put into the online form. So it took twice the amount of time instead of saving me time. The Van I had on hold was not available, so I had to switch out for a pick-up truck, which didn't fit everything i needed to transport.MATTHEW M.
I chose the option to pick up the truck by phone without having to interact with a person for my own safety. There was suppose to be a lock box I could of picked the keys up from. I went through the online portal and there was no key. I called the locations number both because I couldn't find the box and the store front is not near the trucks or obvious to find. She said to come to the store and told me how to find it. I walk in and I tell her I'm here for the truck key. She said ok then goes to help another customer. The point of remote pick up is not having to interact with people or wait and I had to do both. There's also no sign in her front window that says I haul.Crystal S.

The site manager needs to come out and show the vehicle to the customers. Make sure he gives them all the correct information like the combination code for the lock, which by the way it was barely working. Explain why our truck didn't have a ramp. It was very unclear where to check in and pickup the keys. The app did not work well. We arrived 15 minutes early, and we weren't able to leave until we'll after our predetermined reservation time. I won't use the app again, and I won't rent from this location again. I was also surprised by an additional fee, that I wasn't aware of in advance. Very disappointing with whole experience.Hershel D.
The truck had a signal for LOW OIL CHANGE NEEDED sign and was very concerning . Also, the floor mats were full of dirt and would create dust when driving with windows down . The windshield was serenely dirty. However , customer service was great and it was local .CARLOS F.
This was a branch location and very hard to find. It was hidden in a shopping mall with no signage to identify the business! Took us 20 min to find the store. The owner was LATE and arrived after the scheduled pick up time. I presented the PRE PAID paperwork done on line days before. The owner said it wasn't a receipt and seemed confused! My overall experience with U-haul was a nightmare from the start and I will probably never utilize their services again. I went to the Chatsworth location to make a reservation. I was told my reservation was confirmed and I would pickup my tow dolly the day prior to my leaving town from the Chatsworth location. Two days prior to my scheduled pickup, initially I was told my reservation was canceled due to someone inputting all my information incorrectly. Once the correction was made, I was told my reservation has been changed and they no longer had the item I requested at Chatsworth and now I would need to go to a different location and rent a different item. After numerous calls to several managers the reservation was finally corrected. When I went to pickup my tow dolly at the Van Nuys location, I paid to have the attendant hookup the tow dolly to my car as I had no prior experience hooking up the tow dolly. Well as it turns out...neither did she. I had to learn the entire process and had to mostly hookup up the tow dolly myself with little to no help from the attendant who was supposed to be the expert. Additionally, while I was on the road the straps came off because the attendant didn't secure the straps properly on her side and it could have been disastrous. This location should be completely removed as a U-haul pickup location until they can find someone that knows what they are doing because someone could get seriously hurt or possibly killed if they don't know what they are doing. U-haul as a company has gone way down in my book and their customer service is definitely the worst I have ever experienced. I do not recommend using their services ever...find another company.Sean W.

Do not deny me my preferred pick up spot. The one you assigned me was miles away and necessitated two extra hours to pick up the truck and then return to pick up my personal vehicle, and incurred a fifteen dollar Lyft fee as well. I got no satisfaction from your traffic supervisor, and he was dismissive when I called to protest. I've rented dozens of times in three past three years and this is the first time I've been unhappy. And I'm really unhappy this time.scott P.

Not very professional, thought I was another customer initially who was a day late ... started to nit pick about scratches to the old truck I rented, claimed I would be responsible, wasn't until she realized I was a different customer and had bought insurance and would not be liable then marked everything as good condition, what a scam, felt she was trying to haggle for more money, also very inconvenient hard to find location and she runs 3 other buisnesses from same location ... ridiculousAndrew G.

I had asked for 2-3 days and all of a sudden on the second day I get a call (voicemail) saying that what happened that I was supposed to have turned in the truck the day before. I call back they don't even answer. I get to the office and they say I hadn't been answering my phone that the day before the supervisor had called me and I didn't answer so he left me a message (but I never got a call or anything) then it took over 25 minutes to process the truck since they had changed the paperwork to 3 days and she didn't know how to change it to two, since I didn't â€œanswerâ€ the day beforemanuel C.
There is very little signage...Nothing to let you know where to park or where the office is. I had to call to figure it out. The lady was great...very weird set up for a uhaul outlet...combined with a shipping center.Ron K.

The previous user did not sweep the back of the truck and left food crumbles all over the cabin. I only moved a single item (a new and packed kiln) and didn't soil the truck, but had to sweep the dirt left in the back to avoid being charged, as per your written instructions inside the truck.deborah W.

Vehicle was way too dirty to be rented out like that also i filled the gas back to the required limit but i was still charged for a a gallon and half even tho my total driving was 17 miles only and i even have a picture that the gas was where it was supposed to be at when i returned itgaro S.

Before I went to the Van Nuys location . I had reservation in 5411 DE Soto Ave. location in Woodland Hills , the guy was there , He did wrong schedules for me . The latch of our rental truck didn't lock correctly. We found out too late to contact the location about it so we had to zip tie the latch and drive super slowly so the door wouldn't open and have our belongings fly out! I filled up the truck to the 1/4 full line (as it was when I picked it up) right around the corner from the drop off. They charged my credit card $40 for filling up the gas. I sent them an email telling them that was incorrect and they have never responded!!Randa W.
The lady was very nice and only charged one day late, because I-40 West was shut down so I had to stay an extra night in NM. The drop off location was difficult to find because it was behind a lot of stores and we were never told this.
