Our truck was parked in. There were no instructions on how to get it out. I called the U-Haul number and waited on hold for almost an hour impacting our moving and travel time. My husband then called the office number listed on Google for this location and we were told to go down into the parking garage and the person there moved the van for us so we could go. They didn’t have dolleys or pads to send with us and then I was charged for them. Overall a pretty crappy experience especially since we were moving because we’re getting divorced. Thanks for throwing the cherry on top of that!

Nebojsa PetrovicI rented this van with the expressed understanding that it would be used for 5 hours but that renting at 2pm that day and returning it at the open the next day (8am) would not incur another 20 dollar fee. not only did they charge me the extra 20 dollars but also a 52 dollar CDW coverage. the insurance was supposed to be for 26 dollars. What they sneakily did was charge me insurance for both days! This is a massive fraud. The rental number is # 71681985. It was through a third-party vendor MP Broadway 11 LLC in Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY. The mileage out was 10049 and they stated it was 10042. Finally the only thing I think they got right was that they gave me 5/8 of a tank of gas and I returned it 7/8 fill but they would not credit me anything here. The van was dirty and did not drive well. At the very least they should credit me the 20 dollars extra day and 26 dollars CDW.

In good faith, I returned the truck with the tank filled well beyond its initial state, only to be met with an unexpected $7 charge for gas. This incident left a sour note on what could have been a smooth transaction. It's disheartening when efforts to do the right thing are overlooked, leading to an unsatisfactory and frustrating outcome. I hope U-Haul addresses these discrepancies for future customers.
CESAR VARGASMake sure to have all equipment available upon pick up if a reservation was made ahead of time. I reserved a dolly that was not available when I arrived for pick up. Fortunately, there was a different one available that they were able to give me. I was moving all of my furniture on my own and having a dolly was crucial. It would’ve been terrible if none were available. Overall though, decent service.

I can assure you no cleaning has been done. I rented the most filthy vehicle today that I don't think I'll be renting from U-Haul any longer. The staff were helpful, but low on supplies. The couldn't supply me with any hand trucks or moving blankets.

Then in the middle of my move, with the van fully loaded and ready to go, the battery died. Based on the circumstances I was told by a customer service agent over the phone that nothing I did killed the battery, it was already low and/or faulty. I had to wait over an hour for a jump from roadside assistance. I would like a full refund for my rental. Thank you

Am I supposed to believe your trucks get less than 2 miles to the gallon? I was also charged double that rate I was quoted, which was $19.95 plus a mileage fee. This is ridiculous!

I complained to the attendant, he said switch to the other van, the other van was worst, dirty, there was a beer bottle and gas tank empty. I ended up taking the first one because at least it had 1/2 tank of gasoline. The attendant said he did not work for U-haul, he works for the parking company in the building however he is in charge of taking your driver license and credit card. I spent $80 at a car wash. I will never go back to this location.

Location attendant was very nice and the process overall was seamless for pick-up and return. Really need to clean the vehicles though as it is very unsanitary and renters don't know who or what kind of people had the vehicle before them.

rodrigo luzziThis experience was dreadful. I had initially booked for Williamsburg, but upon arrival, the location indicated Greenpoint, which points to an issue with your website. The mobile check-in process wasn't smooth either, as the truck didn't have keys. Contacting customer service was frustrating due to long wait times and unhelpful staff. After being transferred and experiencing a call disconnection, I had to make a return call. Eventually, the "scheduling manager" rescheduled me for the original Williamsburg location, so I had to return there. The entire situation turned into a two-hour nightmare and ended up costing me two Uber rides. The van I received had moving blanket that was wet and smelled terrible. I am deeply frustrated with U-Haul.

Latoya DavisThe employee working at the time was unprofessional and rude upon drop off. I had a drop off time of 1:00 pm, I pulled into the lot at 1:01. We went down to return the keys and the employee was with another customer so we waited to finish our drop off. When we spoke with him he made many comments about how we "were late" and "in the red" and that we should have added more time for traffic (understandable but not needed to be communicated more than once). He went to check the truck for damages and when he gave me the receipt for payment it had gone from the previously started $40 total to $96. I simply asked what the extra chargers were for when he started "you were late so you are being double charged for your booking and insurance". We then asked since it was 1 minute if there was anything we could do and he said "I know your type, you're entitled and think you're owed this. I have the power to help you out, but since you expect it I'm not going to". Then walked away with no other words or instructions for when I would receive my official receipt. It was incredibly rude and unprofessional to call me entitled because I was asking why my price doubled. I have always used this location for my Haul services but I no longer will.

Jeannette VegaSCAMMERS! The agent removed my damage protection insurance I requested upon reservation when I picked up the van. When I returned it after only an hour of being with it the entire time and no accidents, they claimed I scratched a huge dent into the van, by submitting a photo to UHAUL of an enormous scratch that I was NOT responsible for. Without notification what was supposed to be a $40 quick rental, they charged me an $1100 damages fee to my personal checking. I've tried to get in touch with them to dispute and get no response. I'm disputing the charges! DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CROOKS!

COLE BROSSARTOne of the worst rental experiences of my life. Not at all the fault of the workers at this U-Haul, they did the best with the situation given to them. I get to pick up my car and am forced to almost 2 hours because the entire server system for U-Haul is down, and my payment can’t be processed. This resulted in me being incredibly behind and missing my flight. I would be surprised if I ever used U-Haul again after this trip.
