Stop the corporate guy in Arizona from texting customers at a BAD time. I got a text about an hour after I picked up the truck telling me people at my destination needed it and asking what time I would be there to turn it in 150 miles away. That was NOT COOL. they had 3 trucks JUST like mine sitting there when I got there. I felt like they did not trust me because the person sending that text lied to me.

TOM BAKER | Overall ExperienceThis was not the pick-up location we made a reservation at. We had to drive over 40 minutes out of our way after already having a 4.5 hour drive from out of state. U-Haul makes no attempt to honor reservations as booked. This was our experience last time we booked U-Haul as well. If car rental companies can ensure the equipment is in the right location, U-Haul can figure it out but the customer service has been horrible every time we call to seek resolution or assistance.

Returned my rental less than 24 hours later, arrived at drop location, some woman who was walking in said oh let me get someone, yelled in the garage and out came a gentleman who did not check in the trailer, told me oh just leave it there and they will take care of it and I will get an email receipt. We'll 2 weeks later I get my receipt, funny how no process was followed, no procedure, all cause he was to busy to run and play with his girlfriend in the back of the shop, this is so unacceptable and unprofessional. If something were to have happened to the rental because he didn't check it I would have been responsible not him, this redneck nonsense needs to stop.

Jason R WALSHAlong with other issues my main complaint is I filled the truck's gas tank to full after 36 miles of use. The bill came to $97.00. I know I signed an agreement to fill the tank to the level I started with. extenuating circumstances made me make this mistake. U-haul still benefits some $50 from my mistake. I just feel a good business practice would be to help the customer even though the error was my fault. Be good and rectify the problem.

Chris McGlynn | Overall ExperienceThe computer system was not able to complete the reservation that I had entered 2 days before. So my reservation had to be entered as a walk-in. Because it was re-entered, I lost the $50 discount that was granted to return the rental to a nearby location. My impression is that this was not the fault of the rental location, but a problem corporate u-haul software. Both of my recent rentals had computer issues. Apparently these problems are frequent because the support person new the name of the person at the rental location based on the phone number.

Due to COVID gas stations near me were closed by the time I was ready to return the truck.

The dealer couldn't pull up my order, and had to start a new order all over. This has happened at multiple U-hail location I have used.

john caseYou can make sure all uhual locations have their current hours on your site. I had a terrible incident all kicked of by a locations hours not being correct on the uhaul website. It was corrected at malones but not without incident. The entire thing could have been a non issue if that dealers hours were correct. The dealer in question was fulton NY Coolwaters Pool And Spa.

More importantly they fail to understand that when they rent a vehicle (a contract) they can’t, upon a whim, demand it back to rent it to someone else....and then get ugly about it Monday May 13, 2019 I rented a pickup truck from Malones Garage, 7730 SR 104, Oswego, NY 13126. Originally I thought I’d need it for just a few days, but as soon as I realized I needed it for a longer time, I called to extend the contract to a full week (7 days), which they did and charged my credit card for the remaining days. I asked if he would send me a confirming email to which he said (not an exact quote but almost): “No we don’t do that, but I ran it through your card. It’s due back Monday at 11:00am.” I thanked him and we hung up. Monday May 20, 2019 8:13am Larry from Malones left a message that they need the truck back as soon as possible because they have other people with reservations for it. The way he was speaking felt like I’d kept the truck without permission. Monday May 20, 2019 8:43am I return the truck and am not happy about the phone message. I forget the exact order of the conversation, but these are the things Larry said to me and our brief interaction: I walk up to Larry, he recognizes me, and I explain to him that it wasn’t due back until 11:00 am. He becomes hostile and informs me that he tried to call me over the weekend but only left the one message. That other people were calling wanting to rent the truck. I told him that his scheduling problems weren’t my problems. He gets angrier and informed me that he “did me a favor renting it to me”. (!) I told him if renting it wasn’t possible then he should have said something and I would of made other arrangements. He said that it was his graduation weekend. Aah.... I said this is a business. He agreed. He said some other things including (in a pouting voice) that I can just take it and not return it until 11:00. Again I told him to just finish it up, and finally he stopped his arguing, making up excuses and did. As I left there was an older man sitting at a desk on the other side of the room. I nodded to him. He glared at me.
