Do not send anyone to the 804 US 287 Decatur Texas location! The man, Cotton, that manages the location is rude and not professional. We contacted him stating we were running late. We pulled up to the location and as soon as my husband opened our door he stated "there goes your trailer now driving away". He was rude when we called to let him know we were running late and rude after we spoke with uhaul to change pickup. He is a crotchety old man that should not be dealing with customers. I won't use uhaul again if this is how you allow business to be conducted. I did leave a message for the area manager and have not gotten a return call. Uhaul obviously does not care about the customer experience.Lance B.

I had to sweep out the trailer before use. Picked up trailer and equipment at 5:00 pm on 1/17/2022 since this location does not open until 10:00 am, to get an early start on 1/18/2022. During the night of 1/17 - 1/18, I had a family emergency arise and was not able to use the trailer, and the location again does not open until 10:00 am, so I had to wait until open to return the trailer. I contacted U-Haul Customer Service, spoke with Kevin to explain the situation, and ask for any possible refund less administrative fees, and was denied. From the U-Haul website, I did an online chat for same issue, and was instructed to work out the details with Meme and Pawpa's Antiques, and again was denied any possible adjustment in the rental fees. I would think that a large company like U-Haul would be more understanding with uncontrollable issues that do arise from time to time with their customers. I am/was more than willing to pay any administrative fees involved, but feel that it is unfair to be charged the entire rental fee plus taxes when I was not able to make use of the trailer and equipment, especially after I cleaned the trailer myself to make it ready for the move the following day.Jimmy K.

Uhaul shouldn't be charging so much for in town moving. A few years ago by brother paid $35 to move in town and today unpaid $170. That's really expensive.Molly S.

Dropped trailer off at 10:15AM (2 days early) 15 minutes after their stated opening time. Nobody was arround, door locked, called their number numerous times during the day no answer. Received a text stating I was overdue. Regional office had to help me clear things up.SCOTT S.

The gps is off for this location. When I called for assistance your system said it would be a 45 minute wait. When I looked where you showed the location, I had to drive the truck a 1/4 mile West and park in front of someone's house to get the mobile check-in to work.Noel O.

The pickup and drop off were both great. However, the drivers seat in the truck was awful. It probably should have been repaired or replaced years ago. The right side of the seat was sagging approx 2 inches lower than the left side of the seat. Over the journey of 700+ miles this was very uncomfortable and hard on my back.Ryan C.

The people who work here are rude. When I arrived to pick up my truck, their first statement to me was, â€œWe're not open yet.â€ They were not able to complete my rental for some reason. I did not receive the link to verify the condition of the truck and the employee's response was, â€œThat's U-Haul's problem.â€ The truck cargo area and cab were dirty, the AC didn't work (in July in Texas) and the brakes were soft. An hour and a half later I got a call saying my rental wasn't valid and I needed to return the truck as soon as possible. And the bill was incorrect. It included insurance coverage that I had declined. I'm not pleased.JULIE T.

had no help in parking the equipment and had to unhook it by myself and without any one around. As it worked out for me that i unloaded the trailer in one city and had too travel about 50 miles empty across the dfw metro to reach my drop off location.Other than the above the equipment was clean and easy to pickup.Steven K.

The needed furniture dollies were not available. However, this is not their fault. It is U Haul Corporate's fault. I made my reservation online weeks in advance and paid online. On move day, U Haul corporate sent me to a physical site where there was no 26' truck available. The 26' foot truck was rented out the day before and there was not another 26' within 35 miles of my move site. U- Haul's online website and 1-800 number is useless!!!!! U-Haul gave a $50 credit because my truck was not there.....what a joke. My family and I had to scramble to make a plan. U Haul was pathetic!!! I will NEVER use U-Haul again. U-Haul is the worst and will be sharing on social media.Todd L.

My only complaint is the trailer I rented was hard to pickup by yourself and I had to have two friends come help me unhook it, cause I couldn't pick it up off the hutch of my car.Timothy H.

Check online to make sure that the locations are actually open. At first dealing with this company was rather difficult, because there was conflicting information being received. It was annoying speaking to customer service representatives to answer the phone who knew nothing of the location I was using. Once , I escalated the call it was taken care by a manager, and I was rather pleased with the outcome.Michele N.

The owner didn't know how to give out a uhaul. And just told me go find the one I wanted and take it. Keys are in it. He didn't walk out with me or anything and I had to help him with the computer work for renting the uhual to me. Then when I bring it back I go inside to let him know it's back and thinking he is gonna walk around it and check it out and nothing. Not only did I get charged for extra gas even though when I brought it back it was past the halfway mark which was how I received it. Just barely past the halfway mark so I get charged an extra 9.40 for 2 gallons when gas is only 2.39 doesn't add up. Not at all a good experience and he uhaul sounded like the engine was gonna blow up while driving it.christopher Q.
