DIVIJ GI rented a small truck from Uhaul today. I traveled 8.05km as stated in the second receipt sent by your company. Vehicle traffic in the area was very light, without any congestion. I picked up the vehicle with a fuel level between 3/4 and 1/2 a tank. I assumed that this vehicle should have a fuel consumption, in the worst case, of 2km per liter (consumption of a large truck). Before returning the vehicle, I filled 4.11 liters of fuel. When I went to return the vehicle, the company employee informed me that the fuel level needle should be closer to 1/2 tank and that I should refuel the vehicle to achieve this level. I went back to the gas station. I filled another 5.87 liters. The vehicle's fuel pointer didn't even move. With that, I filled another 5.87 liters. The vehicle's fuel pointer jumped to above 1/2 of a tank, almost close to 5/8 of a tank. I filled 15.79 liters ($27). I believe this is extremely wrong. What is the consumption of this vehicle? I really believe something was broken in that vehicle... I communicated this to the company employee. He returned me 15$. So, I paid $12 for fuel, which is equivalent to 7.05 liters of fuel. Therefore, the vehicle has a consumption rate of 1.14 km per liter? I searched a bit about consumption of small trucks. The consumption rate of 1.14 km per liter is very absurd... Small trucks consume around 10 miles per gallon, that is, 4.25 km per liter in light traffic. Therefore, I believe that the company rents me a truck with an out-of-control, damaged engine or some other problem. I'm glad I didn't take a distant trip. I hated today's experience.

David GThe truck has a terrible odor of stale cigarettes smoke. Office was extremely filthy, disorganized and cold, the agent didn't include the supplies I had booked causing a very inconvenient turn around in narrow downtown Street, the fuel level was clumsily marked with a sharpie on a paper, when returned the truck the agent picked a very disturbing argument which made me feel very embarrassed and humiliated. The agent asked irrelevant questions such as ethnicity and my business in the town.Definitely a no location for me, and anybody else who wants a smooth experience in a hectic day of their moving.

Quentin MThe rental property was poorly maintained, inside and out. The building was run down, really strong mould smell, enough to make my eyes water. How that lady works in there is a marvel. She was friendly and processed our order. the vehicle we were initially assigned was in deep snow. It did snow here two days prior, but they literally had three men out there pushing snow around. Not sure why they were so snow bound. I wasn't going to attempt to drive this truck over the snow bank and I'm glad I didn't because they got it truly stuck. So no winter tires. We got another truck. It was fine. I wasn't expecting a smooth ride or heat even, so it met my expectations. Truck was dirty but I expected that as well. We made the move. Return went fine. I was billed what I was quoted. And it was cheap. So all good.

Ryan TI had requested to do the pick up through the app, when I tried it confirmed that I had chosen the option to do it through the app but still required me to wait for someone at 1000am, there was already a gentleman there who assisted me though it still delayed me. I also did not have the dolley already in the vehicle

Wendy KThere was nothing special about this location, but for someone moving to downtown Halifax it was extremely convenient and easy to get to. It had a nice large lot for navigating a large U-Haul. The location itself was ok. Help wise there wasn't much to do other than drop off the keys. I note that there was another very upset couple ahead of me who also had booked a 15' truck and were being told they had to take a 26' truck. I did get an extra charge on my card after the fact that I had to call about and they explained it was for mileage. With regard to the mileage charge, I was charged for additional miles used. As noted on my pickup location comments, I had to pickup in Saint John rather than Sussex which is almost 80KM father from my final destination than Sussex where I wanted to pickup the vehicle. Not to mention I had to drive around Saint John taking extra miles to pickup the moving materials (that second location by the way was very friendly and helpful). It is completely unacceptable to charge me for miles that occurred as a result of U-Hauls actions not mine. I have two more needs for moving vehicles in the next 4 to 5 months and without some form of rectification of the issues I faced on this rental experience, I will be looking to other options for my future rentals.
Jeff COn the online check in process, it indicates no symbols or spaces when entering your license number. However, after several unsuccessful attempts, it accepted the number with spaces. I checked with online chat and phone for assistance and no response from either. We lost a lot of time because of this.

I went to return my truck and I was to get remaining amount since they did a cash deposit as I used my Debit card the guy who knew wasn’t there so they took my number and said they’ll call me. They never called me and next day I was charged way over and they said I didn’t return the truck same amount as it was in was given which is a lie cuz I know I did.

David LVery disappointed with this Uhaul location. I rented a truck here. I took pics of the gas and mileage upon pickup, When I dropped it off I took more pics. Before returning the truck . I put gas up to where it was when I got the truck. I returned the truck after hours so I put the keys in the drop box. When I checked the emailed statement afterwards, they charged me extra for gas. Completely not warranted. I also want to mention that when I picked up the truck I had to go inside to pay. The office was very dirty and cluttered. Not a good thing if you have allergies. I will not be going here again.

Chafic MThe location was very messy, the vehicle was not cleaned and the people did not inspect the truck with me only asked me to go online an enter a report. I was in a hurry and forgot to do this but did look the truck over and there was no real damage other than some scratches on the box which to my experience we very normal. I returned the truck after 5 hours where I travelled only 3KM or less all on city streets with no trees. Upon the return the people did not leave the desk to inspect the truck. An hour or so later I received 2 calls accusing me of damaging the vehicle. The tone of the call to me was to pin something on me that was missed on a prior rental thinking because I purchased the insurance I would just pay the 150 deductible. I ended the experience informing them that if they continued to accuse me of something I clearly did not do I would report them to the BBB.
Howard SI didn’t get an email confirmation of payment which is quite disheartening. I will keep an eye on my charges but would have liked the email receipt- that has nothing to do with the location but instead your software application

Tanner GThe rates applied by Uhaul were higher than the rate shown at the time of booking. Why is this? Also the minimum commitment of certain kilometers was not mentioned when I booked the vehicle.

Took me an hour onhold with an actually very helpful agent to solve it. I’d rate this location higher if it wasn’t for the bayers lake location being so terrible
