JIM SThe equipment was great. Clean and well maintained. My issue was with Uhaul. During my reservation I had problems requiring me to spend another $60 to go to a different pick up location.-also, the Uhaul computers were having issues so it took over an hour to get my equipment. It also resulted in me being charged 4 times putting me over my credit limit and affecting my ability to to pay for an overnight travel stay at a hotel.
PAUL TThey didn't have a truck when I arrived, even though I had reserved one and driven 10 hours to pick it up. When I returned a day later, one was ready, but the attendant had difficulty with the POS system and it took a while to get out of there. He was clearly frustrated and overwlemed. However, my greatest frustration was with the national call center. I spoke with 6 different people. Every one of them was poorly trained and terribly unprofessional. I will have a hard time recommending U-haul to anyone.

HENRY JThe pickup location itself was fine; the personnel was helpful. The trailer appeared fine upon hookup to our vehicle. Driving lights came on but as we were driving the trailer shorted out a fuse in our vehicle. Upon pulling over to inspect, the trailer lights had exposed wiring that caused the short. We then realized the left side of the trailer lights were not responding to brakes nor turn signals. We taped up the wires, replaced our vehicle fuses and continued to our destination. Once we arrived, we called roadside who tried for a couple of hours and came back the next day to try again to fix the wiring. The technician was unable to repair the wiring.

RICHARD MThe truck had only 3/8 of a tank of gas, and per their "policy", they are not required to put gas in it for the customer unless it is 1/4 of a tank of lower, putting the customer in a position of having to put gas in immediately to get to their destination, but not knowing how much to put in since they don't know how much they will use. This put us in a position of wasting a lot of money on gas, as they will not reimburse for gas not used. The tank should ALWAYS be on full upon pick up to avoid this expense. Also, the truck was not inspected prior to our pick up, and the interior was covered in dog hair. It was gross, and we were on a time crunch, so there was no time to have them clean it.

Joseph FWe ordered a 10ft. Got call saying no 10ft were available but said a 15ft was and confirmed reservation. When got there no 15ft! He said they had a 20 ft. Place I was going was tight!! He said reservation don’t hold as if there is a truck and someone comes off street the reservation does not matter!

JOHN CThe van was noticeably underpowered, especially when driving up and down hills. It also made a persistent squealing noise, which I assume was coming from the serpentine belt. The USB charging port didn’t work, which left me without a way to charge my phone at the time. I picked up the trailer in Chester and had to hook it up myself. Considering the price, it feels like I ended up doing most of the work. I even returned the vehicle with more fuel than it had when I received it. This may seem minor, but paying $530 for a small truck under these conditions feels excessive.

ANGEL GScheduled for a specific pickup and drop off location, and when it came time to pick up the truck with the app the location was changed without any notice and did not have any prep for the new location to leave my car. Dropping off the vehicle going through the process to check it back in and it’s saying I have to pay double the amount I was originally quoted and charged even though I did not add any extra mile or damage. And at the end of the check in process the app takes forever to upload the pictures, and I did not have bad service. Will not be using U-Haul service ever again and will not recommend to anyone.

Stephen BAt the drop off point in Pittsburgh, there was a lady named Hope. She was super nice! Very good customer service! Also, Nikki was really awesome too! Then the next day I had to go back and I worked with a girl named Kia. All three of them were amazing!

Robert CIt was not explained to me that there was not a ramp in a 10ft truck. The link was not explained to me before leaving. The gas tank was at 1/4 not 1/2 when we got it. I called and then the link was explained to me. By that time the link had expired. I put more gas in it than was there when I got it and it was charged for it. I rented the truck for 2 hours. Drove it 20 miles and ended up paying 79.00 for it. I will not rent from this location again

KEVIN MThe gas tank was empty, but I didn’t notice it at the time I took the picture because the truck was on a hill. The fuel gauge panel reflected 1/4 tank, but as I drove away, it moved to empty. I returned the truck within the allowed time. I have a video as proof, yet U-Haul is charging me for an extra day. When I originally rented the truck, I asked for dollies and blankets. When I arrived to pick it up, they didn’t have any available. I have four contracts. The last one reflects the changes, but when I returned the truck, they used the first contract and are charging me for the missing items. U-Haul is a disreputable company that tries to rip people off. This kind of practice should be a crime. I would rate this as one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had.

ROBERT BWhen I arrived at the pick up location, the office was closed. I was able to secure the keys from the lockbox out front. . There were 4 10 foot trucks parked by the office. There were two trucks parked upfront by the storage containers. a 26 foot and a 10 foot. The 15 foot truck that I rented was not there. I started to walk around to see if I could see any other trucks. This location is also a storage facility, and I went back to the last row of containers, turned right, and all the way at the end of the third row, I saw some equipment and trucks. I walked all the way back there and eventually found the truck. There were no instructions telling me where the truck was located. When I returned the truck, I spoke with a female who identified herself as one of the managers. I explained the situation to her and suggested that in the future they give better direction as to where the truck might be located. She seemed oblivious it didn’t seem to understand why it was important to know where the truck was located. The truck was clean and the week was easy. However, I would hesitate to use this location in the future.

MARK HMet me as soon as I walked toward the door with a SMILE and asking how he could help me. Led me to the drop off area in a golf cart and took control from there. Unhitched the trailer I rented and moved it into a parking area by himself. Told me I was good to go and thanked me for choosing U-Haul. Moments later a return verification receipt showed up in my email. OUTSTANDING customer service!!!
