I booked a truck with U-Haul for a very short move and hired 2 individuals to help me. One of the movers arrived at 12:20pm and the other mover did not arrive until after 1pm. Once they began working, I immediately became concerned about the way they were moving my belongings. Dragging furniture across brand new hardwood floors, running into walls, and causing damage to one wall. They did not operate efficiently at all. Very unprofessional conversation initiated by one of the movers included his alcohol intake and medications he was taking that made him feel â€œHighâ€ and put him in a careless mental state. The total time it took them to load up a 700sq apartment into a 15' foot truck, took almost 4 hours. They exceeded the time allotted for street parking and the elevator reservation set by the condo association by over 2 hours. One of the helpers spent a lot of this time on his cell phone and standing there looking around aimlessly while his partner struggled to arrange and move items about. There was damage to a common wall caused by a mover running a dolly into it. They neglected the moving rules implicated by my condo association and unethically left my belongings on the side of the street, unattended. On multiple occasions they failed to close the tailgate of the truck which exposed everything to the public and thieves. Luckily, nothing of mine was stolen or damaged due to this. They took so long that I had to cancel my reservation at the complex I was moving into that resulted in a 4 hour delay in the process. I'm very new to this area and have very limited people I can call for help, hence why I hired these â€œmovers.â€ When I expressed my frustration and the situation to one of the movers, his response was â€œOh wow that sucks. At least you'll have fresh people to help you unload.â€ Then proceeded to play on his phone again. The movers were so much in a hurry to leave, that one of them left his ID at the front desk. Once they left, I attempted to lock the tailgate of the U-Haul and noticed that the lock was severely bent and would not lock. I had to leave the truck, unlocked, with all of my belongs in it, unattended in a very busy downtown metropolitan area for 4 hours since I could no longer move into my new apartment. I contacted everyone I knew in the area for help and finally found someone free. Before anyone says that 4 hours is a reasonable amount of time to load up a 1 bedroom apartment, my family member and I moved every piece of furniture, every box, everything in just over a hour. How is it possible that 2 people with very limited moving experience can finish the exact same job in 1 hour that took â€œProfessional moversâ€ 4 hours to complete? All in all it took over 9 hours to move a small apartment sized load TWO blocks due the incompetence of the hired help.THEODORE M.

The drop off location is on the NW corner of the block. The actual office is on the east side of the block with multiple businesses in between. The people were great but the location was crowded and not easy to park at.SCOTT B.
This location provided an equipment that I did not reserved. That had a consequence at the time my contract agreement was reviewed to make the final payment. U ahul charged extra money for the equipment I used and that I did not reserved; after that I claimed to U ahul a refund of the extra money. U ahul refunded part of the extra money was charged; then After I saw the numbers I requested in written explanation about the extra money had been taken, I did not receive response of my request. That is not the right way to treat customers and make business.JOSE M.

Great location and service checking in Equipment was fine but I was charged for gas - I think this is wrong (perhaps the initial gas reading was off). I literally drove just shy of 6 miles. I added a little gas but was charged 4 gallons costing me $18.45 which equates to $4.6125 per gallon (which is somewhere around a 46% premium to current prices). There's no way I should have been charged for 4 gallons or any gas driving 6 miles. Please refund that portion of the charge or I may have to take action. KevinKEVIN E.

Improve the signage for the entrance. Clean up the customer space, improve lighting and improve customer service. Actually walk the customers out to their rented vehicle. And have the vehicle clean. I will never use this location again. The windows on the vehicle were filthy. The truck was blocked in so I had to call the guy to come out and move the trailer in front of it. As I walked around the truck I found damage it was not marked and all he told me to do was take pictures of it even though I asked him to write them down.Sarah B.

This location is very sketchy. Not only was it hard to locate, but the entrance to the business was basically hidden behind an overgrown tree or bush. Broken bricks strewn about the steps, no lights on or signage at the door. It looks like an abandoned building. The lot where you drop off the equipment has no signage and there is nobody around to help you. I had to drive around the block several times attempting to find the "office".Emily Y.

The the African American guy has zero customer service! He even hit one U haul truck with the one he was driving to park! The employee needs to be changed! Or watched over!! Absolutely worst experience ever! I have rented your trucks from multiple places before! Never had this kind of experience! I will go to another rental trucks if this was my first experience! Requirements for additional drivers were unclear and I was given incorrect information. Also, the website and app are nearly impossible to use/navigate to find the information I need. I had reserved some equipment that was not available when I arrived to pick it up. I was told to go to another location, which was difficult on a tight schedule.BRIAN M.
Absolutely terrible experience. I handed in the keys then later got charged because they couldn't find the keys and blamed me despite cameras showing me drop the keys off. Worst experience ever. Probably will not use uhaul again. I will also go out of my way to tell people not to use uhaulJason L.

Absolute Bullshit. Not only was I overcharged twice for fuel even at the already exorbitant rate, I was charged an additional day plus a cleaning fee that was absolutely unnecessary. Customer service did not reply to my attempts at contact, and I will be most likely contacting the BBB for fraud.PAUL K.
