This location was hard to get ahold of. We arrived on time for our appointment and no one was at the location. When they did arrive, the yard was chaotic and not professional. The office was very messy and unorganized. The location did not have the equipment that we reserved online even after I call one week before pickup to verify the reservation had been placed. The moving blankets that they did have (3) were absolutely disgusting, found lying somewhere in the shop, and had stains, grease, and burn holes in them. They were unusable and needed to be thrown away. The owner was very courteous and did not charge us for those items, but it was very inconvenient to have to purchase those items that we planned on only renting. The owner was polite throughout the entire transaction.Garrett C.

I was charged over 500 miles from the last rental because it was checked in wrong from the previous renter. It is still not refunded. Over $500 for a $100 rental. Very irritated and disappointed.Tiffani S.

Have signs on where to go. After my husband dropped his key into the uhaul box, the guy came out and asked him to move the truck. Their hours and online hours said they were closed. Place was a mess and we had no idea where to park.William James S.
I rented a tow dolly to transport a car out of state. A tow dolly was rented from this location, and was not able to be used due to broken equipment on the dolly. Unfortunately this was discovered after leaving the rental location and arriving at my house to load the car up. After contacting the location to see about a replacement dolly or a gettting this one fixed, I was directed to "Call the 1-800 number and get a repair crew out to fix it." After WAITING on the phone for over 15 minutes trying to talk to a HUMAN BEING, I ended up going to another U-Haul location and they were kind enough to take the broken dolly and replace it with one that I used to get my trip done. No thanks to the original location.Edward D.
Looked like a dump. Was not open when we got there even though I had confirmed when I would be there (9AM-their opening time) Had to call to get someone to open and he could not find his key so used bolt cutters to cut chain off and open gate! Didn't initially have my reservation.Office dirty, disorganized and messy. Could not tell me the difference in the insurance policies. Sister looked it up on her phone and told him what the differences were. Seemed so incompetent I almost cancelled my reservation. Thank goodness it was a newer truck and weathered 1900 miles well.David K.

The attendant came to counter like I woke him up dressed in what I would describe as PJ bottoms . As we progressed through the lot to a back lot through a gate he pointed out 2 trucks and said it is one of those where he then turned around and went back inside. The first truck I tried was the correct one. Assuming there wasn't anything else I need to do there I left. The good news was it was a new truck.David C.
Truck was very helpful. Not happy I had to travel almost 30 miles to get the truck I wanted. Even tho they reinbersed me for part of the mileage, I still had to pay for extra fuel. What started out to be 29.95 a day cost me for 2 days around 175.00 with their surprise insurance and taxes.MIKE S.

Prepaid in full and filled out all the paperwork online. Still took 45 minutes for them to find the reservation and provide my wife the truck. They were out of the blankets we ordered and paid for and told my wife to go to another location to get them. Had some snow and ice that day and it was only about 10 degrees out. They never opened the back of the truck to inspect it before sending my wife on her way. The cargo door was frozen shut delaying the loading 4 hours until I got home from work.Christopher L.

MFS did not check out the truck with customer. The paperwork said half a tank, and when I turned on the ignition, it was at a quarter of a tank. Truck cab was dirty. Rest of truck was operationally ok.Ralph M.

The people at the uhaul rental location were very rude. When dropping off the uhaul they were not there when they said they would be. I called them with the phone number provided and upon answering the guy was very rude. He wanted me to leave the uhaul outside of the gate instead of coming back to help. I ended up dropping off the uhaul outside the gate as he instructed. They were unable to inspect the uhaul as they were not there.Sarah F.

Have someone answer the phone I called three times, be open at the hours they posted and to communicate with their customers. We were charged for gas when we filled up the tank with the amount we told to at the pick up location. When I spoke with customer service about the drop off location issues, I was hung up on. My rental had a worn/bad tire. Returned the rental due to missed appointment and was rescheduled and was still requied to pay for a truck i used for 30 mins. Also my rental was very expensive. 200$ for two days if i had kept it. Customer service at retail office would not provide me their phone number for contact with the local retailer. The guy at Mobile Fleet Service was very willing to work with me on pick-up time, however, when I went to pick up the uhaul it was hard to find the entrance to the shop. The guy was not very friendly and mumbled quite a bit, very hard to understand. He had me sign the paperwork and then gave me the keys and then I was on my own to figure out how to operate the truck. In my opinion, he should have asked if I would like him to show me the truck and the basics, but he did not offer.ANDREA C.
I expect the equipment to be reasonably clean. The truck was very dirty inside the cab. I was not offered a walk around prior to leaving but since I had purchased the extra insurance I wasn't concerned. The windows were filthy and required soap and water to get all of the grime off of the inside. There was pet hair covering the interior along with food and beverage spills. The splatter on the dash was disgusting. It was the only unit available for my move so I had no choice except to take it as it was. I spent over 30 minutes cleaning the interior of the cab.Richard J.

Driver and passenger seat had an abundance of dog hair. It also smelled like people had been smoking in it. More explanation on average gas milage would have also helped. Received gas tank with 1/4 returned with 7/8 due to lack of explanation. ($140 loss)cesar F.

i was quoted $116 & a $10 dolly, the dolly i asked for wasnt available so i had to pay $12 for a dolly & the total came to $130 not $116... also, the guy running my card messed up entering my credit card info, & since he couldn't figure out why it was declined, he told me to call my credit card company. when i contacted them, they quickly pointed out his errorjared C.
Did not appreciate having to drive an extra 60 miles instead of the 30 I was anticipating on driving. Made the reservation for pick up in McPherson, KS (I live in Salina, KS)& was told the day before pick up that I would have to pick it up in Wichita. It ended up being an almost 200 mile round trip for my husband & I to get the truck.LAURISSA K.

We rented a truck and a transport. The truck was clean and well maintained, however we figured out during the trip that the transport had a broken brake line and consequently no brakes on the transport. Trying to get support from U-Haul to get it replaced was ridiculous and I received some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced, especially considering the potentially unsafe situation. The people at the respective stores were very helpful, but the 1800 number for help was all but worthless, rude and totally unhelpful. For this reason I will not use UHaul again.NANCY S.
It was not so much the location I picked up from, but the fact that UHaul had me go so far from my home when there was a big center very close to my home so I was confused as to why I was sent to E 47th St S--there was one on McCormick St close to where I lived on S Saint Clair. Although, the pick up location was not easy to get into and harder to get the truck out of- I had to have the guy back the truck out for me. He was pleasant and very nice to deal with. The UHaul system was experiencing problems that day as well so the man had to get a manual number in order to process my payment.ann W.

When I called and made my reservation, I was told I could pick up the trailer at one location, however when I got to that location the gentlemen didn't speak English and he called someone who did, who had no idea anything about my reservation. I left there and went to the West Kellogg location, where the guy there found out that the trailer from the location I was told to go to was stolen. I still wonder why no one saw that when I made my reservation. Finally the 3rd place I was sent to had what I needed and got me on my way. I will never again use your services. there was supposed to be 24 hour drop off but was locked up. Called number & got uhaul rep who said that we would not be charged a late fee because we offered to bring the truck home for safe keeping until the next day. Noticed online bill sent to me for the late charge and he didn't get a signature or approval for late charge. When I called about it he said he wasn't told and that he wouldn't help me. Took speaking to do people to uhaul to get it reimbursed. Waiting to see reimbursement on my card account.Jo D.
My wife is the one who went to pick it up. The person insisted that my wife had to buy insurance coverage even when we told him that we don't need it because our insurance covers us even with rentals. Even after she mentioned that, that person in charge of this location insisted that she needed. The day we returned the truck we pointed it out and demanded a solution, but he said there was nothing he could do anymore. Unfortunately the lack of knowledge and inexperience made her listen to this guy who totally misled her. Your company should not have agents like this one. We probably will never comebackivan C.

This was not the location where I had made the reservation for a 4' by 8' trailer. I made the reservation at the unit at 5213 E. Pawnee. I did not learn of the change in location until I had waited about 45 minutes at 5213 the morning that I was to pick up the trailer. Then, I had to drive clear across town to get a rather old trailer (the only U-Haul equipment on the lot) which suited my particular needs but should not have been still in operation. I did learn that I should make sure that I will be picking up equipment at the same unit where I made the order.MYRON J.
I'm sure I passed 3-4 UHaul dealers (over 14 miles) to get to this location that does not have regular Saturday hours. I had to call them to make an appointment to pick it up. Once there we had to wait while they booted up their computer and then they felt the only reason we were sent to them was because it was a rental for only $60.00. We had sechedule our pick up to be done on Emma Street in Derby Kansas. We recieved no call the location was change. The lady on the phone when the person on Emma call her was rude and very hateful to my husband when he spoke to her. He ask for the truck to be brought to the Emma address and she said that would not happen. We were to come to 47th Street or to bad no truck. We also had a friend helping us who had to rent a U-Haul at the same location on Emma and when he got there he had to go to 47th Street to pick up his trailer also. I am very unhappy with the customer service and treatment we recieved from the 47th Street location..He had pajamam paints on with a safety pen holding the front where his male parts were to keep front close. Very nasty place and nasty employees. Would tell anyone not to use that location. The lady at Emma address was very nice and it was a very clean and nice place to do businessJAMES B.

The equipment was not at this location; they sent us to another location across town which was fairly seedy, and had swastikas on the wall. However, it had the truck and a dolly, but not the other dolly we ordered, the furniture pads, or our bubble wrap. They sent us to a third location who gave us the rest of our equipment after a lengthy conversation with the manager. Thank God I had a GPS or, being unfamiliar with Wichita, I would have been unable to find all these locations. This also wasted some of the limited time I had to spend with family up there.Katherine H.
