Keep proper reservations! I booked a trailer 3 weeks in advance, reservation was lost and then changed and ended up with a very large truck and much larger bill The lady at the Nanaimo location was very helpful to try a remedy the situation as much as she could. However I am very irritated and disappointed with Uhaul overall

The offices or locations aren't the problem. The main office are scammers and add all kinds of extra charges. These offices have very little say in all the extra charges. If anything goes wrong with your vehicle or for any reason you end up not being able to make your trip, good luck seeing any refund Instead they will charge you another $100 for not making the trip. Horrible customer service from head office and nobody else has any say. Be prepared to pay extra...

This location is very well run and the trailer I rented was in excellent condition. Both pick up and drop off were very easy. I will be pleased to deal with them directly next year. The website and reservation process, however, do not rate the same praise. The website lists incorrect operating hours... the location is actually not open on Sundays. After booking a 4x8 trailer I received two phone calls from the U-Haul central office advising that 4x8 trailers don't exist at that location, but I could book a 5x8, which I did. Upon arrival at Nanaimo Mini Storage I was told that I'd reserved both a 4x8 and a 5x8, and that they had plenty of 4x8 units available. What use is a website if it doesn't provide correct information?

Why would I recommend any location as the U-Haul service is overall is hideous? Thank-fully the staff in Nanaimo were professional, but that does not take away from overall experience of dealing with U-Haul.

We were charged a $30 gas service fee when we put gas in the truck and even left the receipt in the truck!!! I emailed customer service and have not received a reply. Unacceptable!!!!

Preventative maintenance Door jams in place due to dirty none lubricated tracks. The 6x12 unit I had leaked inside once the snow started melting from the roof. You can see daylight on the front corner from the inside. Imagine if you were hauling in a rain soaked highway. Unit I first was given had no bushings in the spring shackles. When I pointed it out they gave me another one. It is still not fixed.

Debit machine inoperable. No heads up no warning just out of luck. Took payment from prepaid gift card which resulted in an argument trying to get the deposit back on the other end. Please make sure that your equipment is working and if it's not (considering your clientele can be traveling hundreds of kilometers to get to you) give your reservations a call so aren't blindsided when they get there.

I did not end up needing a storage locker and cancelled it. Booking the unit was confusing because the U-Haul app said I qualified for a free month but it still showed that I would have to pay.

Tammy and Mark, owners were always helpful. There was one weekend person for a few years who was not particularly helpful or knowledgeable - hard to get good help sometimes! In general we had a positive experience at this facility and our locker location and the facility location was very convenient for delivery. We would not hesitate to recommend Nanaimo Mini Storage.

The owners, Mark and Tammy, were awesome to deal with! The unit was very clean as was the entire facility. We moved out a week after our monthly renewal charge occurred and there was no problem at all getting a refund for the 3 weeks we didn’t need the unit! We would absolutely recommend Nanaimo Mini Storage!

The reason why I wouldn't recommend this buisness to anyone , is because of 1 specific employee. The older man with I think a slight Australian accent. He was Always very rude and a bit condescending to me anytime I spoke with him by phone. He is the sole reason I closed and moved my unit, after the last phone conversation with the him regarding me trying to empty my unit. The rest of the staff, especially the older lady who worked at the computer in store. She is honestly the only reason I continued to use the unit until I closed the account and moved my stuff to another storage company!!!

Everything was wonderful. There was a situation that someone moved into my unit in error and the admin were very apologetic quick at fixing the issue. Very Satisfied. Only complain I would say is my door in my unit sticks and one of the maintenance fellows said they would fix it but they did not, this might not have been much of an issue for others but I struggled as I recently had hand surgery. It was BIT of an inconvenience but other than that was an awesome experience Thank You!! Great company Great Service!!
