I was scheduled to drop the U-Haul off in DIckeyville, WI. I called the day of to make sure it was OK to drop it off there, and I was told they were full and a rep from U-Haul was supposed to have called me to tell me. So, I had to take it to East Dubuque, IL, on a whim. The personnel at Obie's were very helpful. More helpful than the Dickeyville StoreTYLER P.

Only complaint I have is that I couldn't reach a live person on the uhaul number listed on website, after readi g comments I realized that it is also part of an auto mechanic shop. Once I called that number everything was great. Everyone very friendly and professional and provided excellent service.ken W.

The lady in this location was nice and friendly. She gave us directions to the location on the phone as we were trying to find it. The location was hard to find. The only way to get to this location was to cross the railroad. Anyway the UHALL itself was very clean and comfortable. Not related to this location but I schedule a UHALL at Platteville, WI. I think the customer should change the location if the UHALL is not available in the chosen location.Robabeh J.

This location makes the pick-up and drop-off so easy and efficient. I was able to quickly get my rental and get going about my business. The return was just as seamless. The equipment was in great shape and properly maintained, tire pressures checked good and everything worked as it should. I also want to point out that Julie was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I highly recommend renting from them within the Tri-State area. I will definitely keep all my hauling needs fulfilled by this location.Cathy M.

I had a reservation to pick a trailer up at 9 AM on Saturday morning. I arrived at 9 AM, but the business was locked and no one answered the phone. According to their website, they weren't open on Saturdays or Sundays. I had a reservation that said I could pick the trailer up on Saturday, but the business was closed! I waited about 40 minutes, on the phone with U-Haul trying to figure out what we were going to do. It was my good fortune that about 9:40, someone happened to show up at the business. They weren't aware of my reservation and they didn't know that they had the trailer that I needed. This was unacceptable service and U-Haul needs to get things straightened out. You can't rent trailers from businesses that aren't open. It's frustrating. What good does it do to make a reservation five days in advance only to arrive and find the business is not open? Unacceptable.tom R.

Your U Haul APP did not work. Obies had the key in the lock box and indicated such on their end. Your UHaul system did not recognize that. This delayed my move by over an hour.Jim S.

We were originally scheduled to pick up a trailer in Dubuque, Iowa but we received a call saying that we would need to go to the location in East Dubuque, Illinois because that is where a trailer was available. We had no problem with the switch and didn't mind going a bit further. The problem came when the person on the phone gave me the address to the new place, which is the correct address apparently per the website. When we typed this into google maps, it sent us about 15 miles further into Illinois than where the actual location is at. Just a note for this particular location, there address does not match the location and exact directions should be given to customers rather than just giving the address. It's as easy and saying it is less than a mile off the bridge, across from Timmermans Restaurant. Anyone familiar with the area will know exactly where to go from that instruction.Julie H.

It's pretty much out of anyone's control at this point, but Obie's was *really* hard to find. We drove past and wound up all the way in Galena (there were very few obvious spots to turn around), and then drove past it again going back towards Dubuque, and only found the entrance after stopping and asking directions (and even then it was not easy to spot). Driving a 26' van across four active railroad tracks was also more of an element of danger than I needed at that stage of the move. (Obie's itself was very nice, and the gentleman I spoke with was friendly and helpful. It was just a major chore getting to the parking lot.)Nathaniel A.

We had one disappointing set back with this location but in the end it all worked out but in the future when the option to pick up at an earlier time is given someone has to make sure that is in fact true. For example, we were told if we could get to Obie's before 11am on Saturday we could pick up truck then if not we couldn't get it until 9am Monday. When we arrived 10am on Saturday morning no one was around to receive us. No big deal just a suggestion. Thank you.James J.

Picked up trailer in Cortez, CO on 10/2/18. $278.07 cleared my bank on 10/4/18. Turned in trailer early AM 10/9/18 - as per proposed contract in Cortez. Not sure why charged extra day of $20 - however, charge cleared my bank on 10/11/18 for $28.00! Why was I told paid in full when picked up and then charged extra day AFTER I turned it in? - I was not told this at the time when I turned it in. No happy about this!!!DAN B.

Unit was dirty. Facility was had to access crossing 3 set of railroad tracks. Exiting crosses the same tracks uphill to a divided highway. Not easy. People were friendly and provided prompt service.Timothy H.
I check into renting a 5by8 pull type on line and the price was 61 dollars. But when i went there he had asked me if i wanted insurance i said no.Then he said $101 i was like what the hell he said he would send me a copy of my contract i gave him my credit card and when i got home he had charged me $111 i got no receipt because the contract doesn't itemize. What i would like is an itemized receipt from you before i give my reveiw on line. I know he charged me for things i didnt receiveanthony B.

It was a bit hard to see and get to from the road but the sales person was excellent and very kind.CAROLINE K.
I called the location to get directions for my return of the trailer around 3:30 pm on the drop off day. No answer. The address in my email from U-haul did not take me to the correct location. Further, when I did get close to the location it was obscured because it was behind a train. With the train in the way there is no way to see where the business is. There are no signs on the highway saying there is a business at that turn off. You couldn't tell where the drop off area is. I drove back home (20 miles away) and had to do internet research and use Google maps satellite to find the drop off location. I had to miss half a day of work at my new job. I was able to return to the area after work and incurred an additional charge of $28 due to the drop off being closed at the time I returned. I am requesting the late charge be dropped. I had to make two trips to East Dubuque and the directions were not clear. The name of the business wasn't even the same.Joseph V.

Better preparation. It was bad enough that after telling me my truck could be picked up 15 minutes from my home, I was then called 2 days before moving that the truck I ordered had to be picked up over 60 miles away. But when I went to pick up the truck, it wasn't ready. It wasn't cleaned out and they still needed to put the dolly and pads in it. Then I had to wait on the keys, as the son drove off with them. It was a waste of approximately an additional hour.Christine R.
reserved a 10 foot truck, with a confirmation #, to move a college student. When we arrived at the U-haul location, THE TRUCK WAS NOT AVAILABLE!!! Exact situation happened to the roommates that were moving out of the exact same apartment as we were. Could have become a very ugly, expensive and unnecessary situation with landlord. Thank God I had a hitch on my car and the business owner let us BORROW his personal receiver. SO DISAPPOINTED IN YOUR U-HAUL COMPANY AND SO NOT PROFESSIONAL!!!! The staff was doing the best they could with the terrible situation your company put them in. Again, the roommates had the same experience on the exact day!!! Coincidental? I don't think so.
