This site closes at noon on Friday. That information should probably be included on the contract where you put the Drop-off location information. If I had not called ahead just to verify their physical location because I was getting confusing information on google, I would not have know about the early closing time and may have ended up being charged the extra $20 convenience fee.TERRY G.

Our reservation was for Stanley, WI and 2 days before the pick up it was changed to Neillsville, WI, 45 miles away and out of my way. While I was happy to have the moving truck on the day I needed it, I am disappointed that making reservation 3 weeks in advance did not mean much to UHaul.Mark K.

We requested a La Crosse, WI or La Crescent, MN pick up location and found out the day before that we had to drive an HOUR AND A HALF to pick up the truck at this location - this took 3 hours away from our already stressful moving weekend and all our plans had to be readjusted. This location was great, but I would not recommend Uhaul overall based on our reservation experience.Keith P.

Rented a car dolley. Maybe consider an hourly rate, or even a half day rate. I had to pay for a whole day and only needed it for 45 minutes. Took longer to get the rental agreement figured out than it did to tow my car!Daryn H.
The location was handy and well located - easy to find. However, when I dropped it off (at 9:50am) the guy behind the desk was talking to someone else (none business related). He said he would take care of it and I left him the key. According to the web the site was open until noon. The vehicle was not checked back in until Monday morning. I even called the store Saturday afternoon and got their answering machine. I left a message asking them to call me back, stating my concerns the truck was not processed. I then called the U-Haul main number later in the afternoon again stating my concerns that the truck was not checked back in. They ended up calling the regional director about my concern and they got their answering machine as well. Monday, morning the check was finally checked back in. The receipt says it was returned 05.18.2019 @ 4:00 PM. The return date is way off! It looks like it was changed to hide the fact that it should have been checked in 6 hours earlier when the business was open.Dale K.

this is not this location's problem but I had to drive 60 miles out of my way to get this truck because there was not one available at U Haul in my town. I don't think I should have bee charged 0.69 per mile by U Haul to go get that.Tim S.

The reason it was not inviting was I dropped off the truck at night and it was not very well lit.Kristina E.
This facility only has a few rental trailers and had only 1 truck. We ever fortunate that it was still there when we needed it. My recommendation is to be sure you contract far enough in advance to be sure they have what you need.MARK J.
Over all good experience, but some items need work. The website in which uhaul makes the business' pay to use is terrible. I can't tell you how many times we had to start over because your website programming is attrocious. Please fix this. It'll save a lot of time and annoyance from the company renting out your products and the customer.jonathan S.

Inside was clean and inviting. The personnel were friendly and helpful. The outside is a bit messy and not necessarily that inviting. Having said that, it was very conveniently located for me and would not have wanted to drive 30 minutes to another U-Haul location.Thomas R.

Unfortunately, I requested a pick up in Crivitz, WI and was sent to Menominee Michigan which was 27.2 miles farther and I was then charged 21 miles over the allowed mileage. This is a U-Haul issue and not a O'Connell issue. O'Connell was courteous and managed well, although, the U-Haul check in personal was not there when I dropped the truck off. I have nothing against O'Connell, only U-Haul's poor business practices have convinced my to never use them again or recommend to anyone.Brian T.

My reservation was for Black River Falls for a 15 foot truck. First they called & said that wouldn't be available. Ok I was offered a 20 foot at the same price. Then the morning I was to pick it up I was informed my truck wasn't available. I had to go to Neillsville, 20 miles away. So I got a (dirty 20 foot truck, more gas to operate and 40 extra miles at per mile charges).Not happy at alll with this. I will say the lady at O'Connell was very friendly and professional.sharla S.

The U-Haul regionqal rep, Bill Ray, sent me to a dealer over 20 miles from my house instead of the one 3 miles down the road like I requested. I explained to him that location had at least 3-4 of the trucks I requested. He told me to call them if I wanted to try and pick one up from them. He should have done this himself but did not even offer. I called and no one answered. So I had tio go with the location 20 miles away. The agent at that location only gave me 165 miles which I knew was not enough because of the extra 20+ miles I had to go to pick it up. When I got home and started to load the agent 3 miles down the road called and asked when I was gouing to pick up the truck. I told him what happened and he said he was going to call Bill Ray. He was unhappy about what happened.Scott D.
When I returned the trailer a day early,a gentleman stuck his head out the door and ask what I needed. I told him I was returning this trailer. I asked him where he wanted it, he said "just drop it there I can put it away later". I backed it in between 2 other trailers and unhooked it, then went to the office and asked if there was any paperwork. He said "no". The next day the pickup location called to see if I had returned it. We told them we had the day before. 5 days later we got an e-mail from the return place that it was back.Melvin N.

U-Haul has a horrible customer service and relations personnel office. One of the women I spoke with was atrociously rude and never let me speak. I waited online during the phone call for nearly 20 minutes until I reached a customer representative. When I asked my question she talked and talked and talked. She never let me ask the question I needed an answer for. When I tried to ask the question finally. She became abrupt and consequently frighten me to the point where I just had to agree with her. If she had just been a little more patient with me the issue was very simple and was a simple question to be answered. I just wanted to know where my alternative pickup was. She was a very very nasty lady on the phone.Micheal W.

I would never recommend this Location to someone and if I didn't need to move that week I would have cancelled my reservation after this experience. It took over an hour for me to get checked out. No one knew how to process my reservation, nor did anyone want to try and help me. After an hour of trying, extremely unprofessional behavior and language, and swiping my card countless times, I was finally able to get on the road to catch the last 30 minutes of the people who were helping us.Emilie B.
